To be quite honest absolute rubbish. The only reason I did not make a fuss was it was my wife’s birthday treat.Would rather gone to Mac Donald’s.Will try again somewhere else
Lovely birthday lunch on my actual birthday. The food as always was a delight and the waitress was friendly. I had dep fried whitebait and a salad and my partner had prawn cocktail as our starters. I had a sirloin steak with cauliflower cheese, chunk chips and onion rings, whilst Derek had a burger. One word of warning the plates were heaped with food and it was hot! Delicious! We shall be back again twice in July, onnce for my church anniversary meal and then a family get together for our 25th. anniversary.
Fabulous Food, amazing chef, great choice, wonderful ambience and friendly and client centric staff, prices really good.
Overall was a nice dinner and a good price for a Sunday
Everything was perfect prices had increased since we last ate there, but this is to be expected within the current climate.
Lovely Sunday roast, attentive staff, had a really good experience
Excellent meal, as usual. I requested the round table and it was laid ready for us all. Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the whole atmosphere.
Great food with excellent menu choices. Great service and pleasant surroundings.
Highly recommend the Beef Wellington, the whisky mushroom sauce is superb, and so nice to have such a wonderful selection of veg on the plate including broccoli, cauliflower cheese, baby parsnip, carrots, new potatoes, roasted tomato and rocket. Desserts were excellent and good value and the Australian Malbec was delicious.
Great please good service Beef was amazing best I had out in a long time
Fabulous food fabulous staff always a pleasure to come here.
Our first visit and we were left sitting waiting too be seen hadn’t any idea the menu was curry night asked if it was hot and was told no it was so hot I couldn’t eat mine as a first time visiting it has reflected on a second
Love it, like everything these days a bit expensive but lovely food, ambiance, staff, cleanliness .
This visit was for my civil.partner's birthday. As usual we received a warm welcome. The menu had changed as there were no longer of fixed price 3 course or 3 course meals. However, that meant a much wider choice, which was great. The starters, soup and prawn cocktail were deliciousI chose a bew item for my main a sea food pie which was full of calamari, prawns and class and had a lovely cheese and mashed potato topping. We both chose apple pie and ice cream to finish. The one thing we like about this restaurant is that you are never rushed and although for some the service might be slow, we prefer to enjoy our meal and not be constantly hasseled to finish our meal. It is not cheap (we paid £100 including tip and wine) but we'll worth it.
Great food and lovely friendly staff, will definitely go back!
the food was some of the best I have ever tasted. The speed of service was just right. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very good. Very clean and welcoming overall an excellent evening I will be dinning there again.
Such a lovely place to dine. Food absolutely delicious and the staff very welcoming & friendly.
The carvery was delicious, the deserts were delicious and the staff were excellent. Such a lovely place overall.
Excellent food and service. Definitely recommend the food and in particular the Sunday roast

Fantastic Sunday lunch for my mums 80th. Thank you to the chef and all the staff as always.
Lovely food with great service as usual. Thank you, will be back
Warm and welcoming friendly staff. Food outstanding full of flavour
Visited as our Christmas treat. As per usual, the welcome was friendly. It was a special Christmas menu and the food was delicious. We have never had a bad meal and will be back again soon for my civil partner's birthday.
We have been here quite a lot of times and never had a bad meal, the carvery is especially nice and nothing is to much trouble
Staff friendly service good food perfect it is local and must visit again soon
We have been to the Rose Garden a few times now and the food and service are always exceptional. Our visit today was brilliant and we look forward to going again soon.
Food is exceptional, lovely presentation. Gorgeous flavours. Beautiful classy decor.
Lovely meal in lovely surroundings... Always reliable and polite staff
Xmas lunch with friends, great food, friendly staff nice atmosphere.
Food was good as usual, but now if your bill is over £100, now they have decided to add a 10% service charge, which I felt was quite presumptuous. We always leave a tip, but it felt like we were being told to leave a tip.
Lovely food ,well presented, lovely staff. Will be going again.Booked for next week.
Very good food and excellent service again , definitely recommend
Lovely food not enough people so no atmosphere. Good service
Good selection of meats and veggies although could have been a little hotter. But in their defence 2 of our guests were a little late owing to traffic.
Excellent as usual. Lovely tasty food & very nice surroundings with friendly staff.
The starter of prawn cocktail was lovely. However the carvery was very disappointing. The turkey was dry and over cooked. The initial pork that was served up to us wasn't cooked, I don't mean rare, I mean raw!! (That joint was removed after we pointed out that it couldn't be eaten) The beef was ok, and pigs in blankets were tasty. We had a range of deserts. Some were OK, however the cherry crumble was very soggy. The panacotta was not set and disappointing, the accompanying biscuit was so stale it was inedible. The service was quite good and staff polite. We won't be going back.
Great friendly service, lovely freshly cooked food, overall good value
I stated in my on line booking that I was gluten intolerant and I am please to say that there were many GF options available, you did a great job and the food was delicious thank you
All carveries seem the same good quality meat but poor veg and potatoes. Starter very good and a good selection of sweets. Overall not as good as weekday lunches
Very good food and service , would definitely revisit again
Lovely food. Pleasant surroundings and lovely people. Good overall dinning experience.
Amazing food, served hot and fresh. Service was lovely and so friendly.
Excellent food great portions very well priced Lovely staff overall a great evening
Food, staff surrounding fantastic Been here several times, never disappointed
Would have liked proper roast potatoes, other than that all good
Another hot and tasty roastie at the Rose garden one of my favourites.
The Rose garden is such a nice place to eat always friendly staff and the food is delicious
Everything great but the portion of ham with the ham ,egg and and chips was embarrassingly meagre. It was ONE razor thin slice which was so thin you couldn't even taste it. So tight fisted in my opinion, considering it was £13. I didn't complain at the time as I didn't want to spoil the occasion and the waitress was so lovely. For this reason I will never come back and will not recommend the place. Very unnecessarily stingy and greedy of the management to pass this off as a portion. Such a shame as the broccoli and stilton soup was divine and so was the dark chocolate Belgian tart.
