Was a little cold but I get impression that’s the person in charge only opened up and let the staff in. Other than that it was great food and the staff were nice

Nice for large parties. Bit chilly due to the cold weather.

We had a great time and the staff were all lovely. We had to wait a little bit for our food which normally would be fine and great because then we know it is fresh but on this occasion we were a little against the clock. The only thing about the experience that we would feedback is the restaurant was a little cold both from the door and also a constant draft from the fire place.

The Rookery used to be possibly one of my favourite London restaurants. I am not sure if there was a change in management recently, but at the last visit the menu was completely different and pub-like only, the lighting was different with overhead lights on full blast. We decided to leave with a heavy heart as the barman/waiter was ever so nice. Will pass by again another time as it might had been one of those times but being also that the place was empty all the time we were there maybe the change is not temporary.

Food was really amazing - and the service was great too. It was a tiny bit cold and would have been nice to have the fire :)

Food was great, food wait time was a little slow, but it was worth the wait! The only issue I had is that we weren’t asked how our meals were at any point, or whether we required anything else after the dishes were out down in front of us.

Over an hour wait for food with no explanation why. Had they give us heads up on wait it wouldn’t have been as bad. Items were missing from the food when it arrived. Staff were rude when questioned about it. Chicken was dry and overdone. One meal was brought out 10 mins before everyone else’s. There was no custard for the dessert but they didn’t tell us. They just put cream down on the table and walked off. We had to guess ourselves they had no custard Complete shambles of a meal to be honest. Will not be back and would advise friends to avoid

9am Sunday morning was looking for places to eat roast that day, was able to make a booking online very easily through website great start! Saw pics of the Roast pork so all went for that, was just incredible crackling sauce and thick abundant gravy. We were all starving and struggled to finish (though we did it was sooo good). Yorkies were amazing Only slight fault was roasties weren't as amazing as rest of dish, but still edible and none left on plate! Also my 2 beers I wanted on draught were out, but was able to get a new beer not tried before which went down very nicely. Venue is amazing, so much natural light and looking out on the common, nice change from some crowded noisy basement pubs, definitely would recommend

Slow slow slow. Waited over an hour for our food. I understand we arrived just after a big group, but that’s far too long.

We had a great Sunday roast at the Rookery. The food was very good and the service was nice. One of our favourite places for doing a Sunday roast.

The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the place was very tired. The tables were sticky and seating torn. But the service and food was good.
