Our visit for lunch at the Rising Sun in Milland was fantastic. From a lovely greeting on arrival, we were looked after by friendly staff and treated to some delicious food. The chocolate brownie with red berry ice cream was divine! Loved the whole experience especially in such difficult times. The attention to distance awareness and keeping everywhere sanitised was clearly evident - I highly recommend!

We ate at 2:30 on a Sunday - so the tail end of a busy session, Delays with both the starter and mains, but the staff and manager were really apologetic and we got a compensation (free wine) when something we ordered was out of stock. Same great staff, lovely atmosphere, and great food - but the app was a bit problematic. Seating is in the garden - but the cover is a 5* marquee rather than a cheap gazebo - so atmosphere is still great. Well done Rising Sun.

They have a great system in place in the garden and with plenty of sanitiser available

The rising sun has a great set up outside and you order from your table on your phone. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was lovely, it always is

We had a great evening in the new socially distanced garden pub. Beautifully set up and organised. It felt like we were at a mini festival. Food was excellent as always, crab linguine yum and the app for ordering worked fine. One query, we couldn’t work out how to leave a tip. Thank you for working so hard to reopen our favourite pub and creating a great atmosphere.

A great effort for opening night. Clear that a lot of hard work had gone into the reopening. Will be back.

About 40 rugby enthusiasts present drinking for one and half hours before being seated for dinner. Hideously noisy. My food, rissotto, completely overcooked and inedible.

Second visit to The Rising Sun and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely food and staff are attentive and friendly. We will be back!

A nice welcoming fire in the bar, friendly staff and just enough regulars to give it some atmosphere! Plenty of choices on the menu too. We sat in the restaurant part which was a bit chilly and the waiting time between courses was on the long side but overall a very enjoyable evening.

We always enjoy our visits to our local pub the 'Rising Sun'. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent.

Not very busy so surprised it took a while to place our order. Food was really very good!

Great welcome and a natural relaxed service. Excellent value 2 course lunch @15 per head with lots of other options from the main so we mixed it up a bit. Extensive range of beers, ales, wines and more. Very nice.

A boxing day visit and we were a small group next to large family groups so it was a little noisy at times. A lovely festive atmosphere and an interesting and varied menu. We enjoyed our lunch .

Everything was perfect, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, lovely efficient staff. Despite a very large party in the same space ordering just before us, our meals arrived first and their's very shortly afterwards which demonstrated how well organised the kitchen was. A little while since we've last been but nothing had changed, it was as good as we'd experienced it before. The homemade horseradish sauce was a revelation!
