We were in the ski lodge because they had a very busy quiz night. Wasn't expecting benches and being in a shed like environment, but the food was excellent

We always enjoy o/ur infrequent visit to this pub. Towards the end of our visit a very noisy table began their meal - they were enjoying themselves. - not a complaint just a comment. Thank you.

Food was very nice and our server very amenable. Service for our starter was a little slow. It was quite dark in the restaurant so it was a struggle to read the menu which is in very small print.

The food itself was great but we had to wait over half an hour until our table was ready, even though we had booked for a specific time.

There was a family with a VERY NOISY small child ( about 4 years old) close to our table Young children should be discouraged from eating in the restaurant after 8.00 pm maybe.

Perhaps expected too much. Food ok but not brilliant, seats very uncomfortable making us finish off our meal in the garden which was a lot better.

Dinner for three. Staff were attentive however the pub was very busy and we felt that an other pair or two of hands would have been needed. Due to the noise level, it was at times difficult to hear what the person across the table was saying. Quality of food was good and overall price/ quality was similar to other pubs we have visited.

Service was slower tonight than we have experienced in the past - didn’t seem enough staff on duty to cope adequately. Food was good/excellent as usual although the apple & berry crumble was a bit too sharp/sour for my liking. Evening was slightly ruined by badly behaved kids allowed to run wild out the front (and into the road!) shouting (and occasionally swearing) noisily whilst their mother looked on clueless and did nothing. (Not the fault of the pub that one but needs flagging up as it will put plenty of people off going. If there were any ‘first timers’ there tonight I would suggest most of those would think twice about returning simply because of the behaviour of these kids).

Friendly, but not massively attentive service. Perhaps understaffed? Food arrived in good time. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Two had 60z steak and one had the duck. My ribs were quite dry and not especially meaty or tasty, but overall, a lovely setting.
