Most of the staff where very accommodating and friendly especially the male owner who manned the bar. However it was really didn't make up for by the attitude of the female half of the ownership team. I don't think I've ever experienced someone be so blatantly rude to my face when taking a food order. My partner was not impressed and wanted to leave before we had even eaten. Due to this we would not go back again despite it being a very clean well looked after country pub. Really disappointed, having worked in hospitality myself for many years I find there to be no reason for muttering "oh for God's sake" when you are dealing with a customer. Just unforgivable especially when their request was polite and not at all unreasonable.
Lovely meal. Best chips I’ve had in a long time. Excellent value & very attentive service. Highly recommended. Surprised they were so quiet. Go there!
A return visit which as before was very enjoyable. Good food well prepared in a most convivial atmosphere by the friendly host and his wife.
The Queen Adelaide offers great food, great service and always a friendly welcome! Excellent Gluten Free options available and a lovely walk nearby at the lake.
Really lovely pub, the food was amazing, the people were super friendly and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and well fed! I can't have dairy or gluten and it was the best dinner out I have had in a long time. I would definately recommend this place.
Super Sunday roast and great range of beers. Amazingly, my wife was offered a 'diabetic' dessert with special ice cream and strawberries. It was a lovely pub for a family reunion lunch.
Amazing place great food and great service!! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area..portions of food are a decent size and taste amazing!
Staying nearby and came across the Queen Adelaide on Tripadvisor. Not the prettiest of country pubs from the outside (competition is stiff around here) but so glad we found it. Very friendly welcome and really nice, hearty food. The homemade steak & kidney pie was lovely!
The food was delicious and the service swift and attentive with staff checking each individual was happy. The landlord and landlady were lovely and the pub was clean, warm and inviting. My party enjoyed a relaxed and fun evening. No problem with car parking We would definitely go again.
A nice traditional pub with a limited but very good menu of home-cooked food. Their menu is online and you can request a particular dish at the time of booking. We have been there twice and both times it was excellent
Nice friendly atmosphere. Dining area comfortable. My meal was a good size, however the others weren't. Not sure why. Nicely cooked food and a good range of drinks.
Very friendly welcome. Refreshingly varied menu, we were fortunate to be there on St Patrick's day. Delicious 'home' cooked food, great service. Will definitely be going there again!
Good food sensibly priced and enjoyed in the most friendly atmosphere. The proprietors are always willing to go that "extra mile" to ensure you enjoy your visit.
Had the sunday roast with gluten free yorkshire pudding #unheardof. Fabulous food, charming landlord, swift service and will return again very soon. Very geared up for gluten free consumers. Highly recommend
Excellent food & service, very well looked after. The Steak & Kidney Pie was as good as ever. Beef & Turkey were also both lovely. Thankyou.
Limited lunchtime menu; however the specials, which were recommended, were truly excellent: pan-fried haddock was moist and delicious whereas the steak and kidney pie was simply brilliant. Locally sourced puddings were also very good. Landlord was a genial host who made us feel most welcome. If you didn't want the specials there was little else on the menu, if you were in search of a full meal; thus one down from top marks.
Good food at an acceptable price enjoyed in a most friendly atmosphere. Our second visit and already we feel like old friends. We will be returning regularly.
Great food, tasty and well presented, clean up together place with a warming atmosphere. nice staff. All great thanks a lot! Homely and tasty! A
A very enjoyable evening with friends at the Queen Adelaide - good food, good service and mine hosts very welcoming and helpful. What more could you ask for?
A very nice Sunday lunch. Friendly, helpful staff and the food was well prepared and presented. A good local pub in an attractive location with plenty of parking.
We have been with 6 in the Queen Adelaide pub. Location is outstandinh, beautiful viel on the Lage. They Serbe excellent Food and Drinks, very friendly people. We would like to come back.
My wife requires gluten free and I have to be careful with spices as I have Divticular Disease which we informed when ordering. We both enjoyed the bread roll and the Fish Main Course. However unfortunately the Carrot and Sweet Potatoe soup we found unedible to us as it was so spicy.
The food was excellent and served quickly. The landlord and his wife were very pleasant and spent time chatting to us. Will definitely visit again when in the area.
