Went out with my son's in laws who are over from Peru, the food was fantastic, the Scotch egg amazing and the Camembert was delicious, ordered the turkey, pork belly and beef roasts and the food didn't disappoint, our waiter a really nice guy was brilliant, really likeable and friendly.

We have been on a Tuesday a few times, but due to it being a quiz night in the bar area it can tend to get quite noisy even in the restaurant Unfortunately our Monday evening visit was quite noisy due to a Christmas party in the bar area. However this is to be expected at this time of year

We had Sunday roast. The meat was very good. Also all the vegetables. The dessert (crumble) was not very nice, the jam-like filling of apples and black currant had an artificial taste like earl grey flavoured. But overall, the food was fantastic, also the atmosphere, the ambience and the service, very friendly.

Fast becoming a favourite place to eat with the family and we can even bring our little dog. Good in every respect.

Staff & manager weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful initially. Food was ok, nothing special, but arrived swiftly. Responsive to requests. Enjoyed the venue and atmosphere. Service drifted later and v difficult to pay our bill.

Great lively atmosphere for a Wednesday night. Very friendly staff who worked incredibly hard to serve everyone there. Food was excellent as usual

Great pub , very good drinks selection . I was told by my misses the roast chicken was superb . I had the beef, not bad but a bit chewy , not enough vegetables on the plate in my opinion , also cheese was tasteless!

One thing I hate is cold food, served on cold plates. This will stop me coming back. Otherwise the place is lovely.

Had a wonderful sunday lunc. Staff is friendly and attentive.

The starter breads and dips were excellent. The roast beef was excellent. The roast potatoes were not good. One side slightly crispy and the rest white. Not what we would expect of roast potatoes.

The dining room was a bit hot and stuffy could do with being able to open a window. My mushroom scotch egg was a bit cold. Staff were lovely and we will be back, just giving some feedback.

Food was delicious and servings generous. The ambiance and service were good as well. Overall it was a lovely evening.

Unfortunately there was only one waiter so we had to wait awhile . The price of the food was unreasonable for what I received my burger was overdone burned and the pizzas weren’t that great not a lot of toppings just sauce. the staff were lovely and welcoming, I also ordered create your own fairy cake and they gave us lol to decorate the cake with was wine gum ? The cake was very hard I also ordered from the kids menu for my 4 year humus and carrot which were horrible. Reason why I didn’t complain at the time is because it was my mothers birthday and I really didn’t want to put down the occasion

The food was great, but a bit long to get. We were very pleased with the 50% off food offer. Overall, my friends and I had a very pleasant time at the Princess Victoria. Would definitely go back!

Last night I had a great meal and some equally fab wine at The Princess Victoria. The dining room was a bit understaffed so service was slow but still really good. The staff on the floor really worked hard. No their fault that managment can't sort out staffing numbers. In fact we gave some extra tips just because everyone worked so hard. This is my local so it is kind of like with a footie team, you support it and it is fabulous. Small things however seems to go wrong. Last time half of the items on my plate were missing. Now the staffing. Somehow they make it up as a whole. One little crack and they compensate in other ways. There's always a good atmosphere and the food is always better than just 'good pub food.' Staff always have a great attitude and aptitude. They are good at getting the detail right when you ask for substitutes or adjustments. All in all this is a great place to dine and drink. I'm a fusspot that wants everything perfect but life is not like that nor are pubs. The Princess Victoria comes very close though!
