The food is good. The only problem we have found and I've mentioned this to staff several times now, is that the carvery is served on cold plates. I don't know if it's the same with meals from the menu. This needs rectifying quickly. Not much fun having to rush your food before it goes cold.

Would be nice to have the option of mains off the menu. But carvery was spot on.

Good beer good food but we’re sat too close to the bar and outside doors where the smokers keep going and coming letting in cold air and the smell of smoke !

Was disappointed didn't realise tables on Monday were only available for 1.1/2 hrs and just after children had been served with their ice-cream desert was told we had 3 minutes to leave the table as other people were waiting for it and the people waiting had been positioned right by the table which was very uncomfortable as they were glaring at us. Please make people aware of time limit when booking to avoid very awkward situations. Will not be rushing back, profit before customer service.

The week before we tried the caravery and it was absolutely delicious and good portions. We tried the all you can get breakfast and wasn’t to pleased. My wife found black bits in her scramble egg and the fried bread was like roof tiles. ( hot oil and lightly fried would be better). The sausages had been deep fried and were greasy. ( only takes 30 to cook in oven). Beans and tomatoes were cold. Seemed a rushed job.

The only time I’ve ever been here and left the plate still full. Had to wait 10 minutes to get served as the chef was busy talking. The meat was cold and dry. The veg wasn’t cooked properly and again was cold as was the mash and yorkies.

It was lovely now it has been redecorated, my only complaint is that I normally get a decent portion of meat but the woman that served me was rather mean!!

Three of us had the carvery. The food was very nice but the only fault was that we were served our food on cold plates and the food cooled very quickly. Apart from that - going again.

Staff not friendly unlike their sister pub The Island Pool who we can't fault. Food although same menu as I P was not cooked quite to the same standard.

One price on website, charged more at the bar, and when I asked a member of staff about the difference, I was told its nothing to do with her, take it up with management. Very disappointed with the pub and staff.

A lovely meal with plenty of choice for all. We couldn't believe how busy it was but shows what a good meal it is.

Friendly place, ordered the ribeye, no size on menu. Was disappointed to pay £12 for a steak no bigger than 6oz. Meal was nice, but expensive for what it was
