Family outing for birthday celebration ,lovely food ,great value Sunday menu 2 courses for £21.Nice setting with various places to sit ,bar and snug with dogs allowed and the resturant area ( no dogs).
Very nice meal and great service. I would definitely recommend.
Very friendly and professional service matched by a great meal.
First time visiting and would return again. Starters were nice, arrived quickly and nice and hot. Didn’t expect a full pizza for cheesy garlic bread! The Halloumi fries were delicious. Mains arrived soon after, my wife had a chicken burger, which was a bit dry. I had Pie of the day which was Sheppards pie, nice and hot and tasty. Couldn’t fit in pudding. Service was pretty good, getting seated and ordered. Didn’t get asked if we wanted sauces when mains delivered.
We were more than happy with our visit, will be returning.
Good meals, large portions. Great Sunday Roast. Service good. Thanks.
My roast didn’t have a Yorkshire. I had the lentil & nut roast which was dry and not very tasty and my pudding was cold. Everyone else’s food was very good, all the roast veg and Cawliflower cheese was lovely - people there are really friendly. Would go again
Booked the huff cap for lunch for a party of 4. It was quite quiet but we're made to feel welcome, shown our seats and given the menus, as the food is not ping food there was a little wait, but food was good and worth the wait. Well worth the visit.
Lovely as usual, not had a bad experience and foods always great
Staff were attentive and got us a quiet table as requested. Our server made a good start but then he disappeared and served the other side of the pub, for which he later apologised. Food was very good but the main a bit on the cool side. Nice vibe, a bit quirky and good sized portions.
Friendly welcome and fantastic Sunday lunch. My veggie lentil roast was very tasty. Crumble and custard was gorgeous.
Food was great and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Would highly recommend
The food was very good. Our party all had Sunday lunch. The service , as usual, was excellent too. All the staff are so helpful. My one gripe however is that the non alcoholic drink prices are extremely high and nobody likes to get ripped off. HPA a pint is £4.20 an excellent beer and a good price. All their beer is kept in a great condition too. 2 in our party were on dry January. A small bottle of Zero Heineken was £3.90 and a pint of Lemon and Lime racked up £5.50 price tag. You can do better than that!
A bit slow, and asked not to gave certain things, but they came on the plate anyway. Very nice food, nice service.
Met with friends on a freezing winter night. We weren't able to be given a table other than a cold one next to a window although a heater was plugged in next to us. Food good. Service relaxed.
Friendly staff and delicious food. The prices were reasonable and the place was cosy with the fireplace going
Polite friendly service, a little slow but good. Food was delicious, lovely atmosphere, would recommend.
Fantastic chicken pie!! Lovely historic building. Thanks for a great night
Had a fantastic meal ..lovely atmosphere and staff were excellent..first class service and food ..highly recommend
Good food and service. However, thought the wine was VERY expensive which made it an expensive meal out !!
Good service and really tasty Sunday roasts; tender beef and beautiful braised red cabbage. Our dogs were welcome too.
Food was great and server and bar staff were very pleasant as always, but the restaurant area was very cold (same a week prior) and the waiting times very long, especially as there were seemingly few people in the pub? Also the portion size (fish and chips was significantly smaller than previously, only a smudge of mushy peas on the plate!)
Lovely and helpful staff. Good choices on the menu. Tasty food
Great food, great staff and a comfortable pub and restaurant.
Very pleasant place to eat, nice surroundings. Staff very pleasant too
Two gluten and dairy intolerant diners had a great dinner! No stress just deliciousness x
The service was good. The food was just ok could have been better. Roast potatoes were a bit dry and cookie dough was far too hard. .
amazing service and really friendly, helpful staff. Would hIghly recommended
Friendly staff, very good food, well done the new girl.
Food was very good but the waiting staff seemed a little distant.didn't seem happy
Great food and drinks in amazing atmosphere, staff very friendly and efficient, would definitely recommend to everyone. We will definitely call again when we return to Studley.
Great tasty food although portion was small Lovely place .
Had a lovely lunch u the sunshine on the terrace .Beautiful restoration inside which is lovely. very good lunch
Lovely meal with friends, staff were friendly and helpful. It was pretty quiet not sure why but could be because it was Monday lunchtime and storms were around.
Nick was fantastic, it was a very busy bank holiday Monday and he could not have been more lovely and welcoming. An absolute pleasure to eat and drink there - food was amazing and drinks were perfect too. Thanks Nick!!
Lovely food, friendly service and homely atmosphere. Deffo recommend for a quiet relaxing meal out
Food was amazing! And service was top notch aswell !
Great visit. Lovely lady serving restaurant. Service a big slow but happy to wait.
Good atmosphere staff friendly and helpful but not enough of them. Hour and half wait for food then was Luke warm and burgers burnt.
Lovely food and great service. The staff were excellent and good selection of bitters.🍻
Staff were friendly and helpful - good choice of food and reasonably priced. The decor was lovely! My only slightly criticism was they order for one of the meals was wrong but it was ok and the food could have been warmer.
We came to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday and we weren't disappointed. The pub was beautifully decorated, with a warm ambience. The food was excellent, generous portion sizes and nicely presented. Nick, the host, couldn't do enough to accommodate us, especially as dad is in a wheelchair. Our waiter, didn't catch his name, was helpful and attentive. Well worth a visit.
Excellent food and friendly service. We booked already another meal.
Flipping Amazing! Clean, great service and food. This was our first visit and we'll be back...probably with friends!
Great food but not a massive choice on the menu. Service average at best
Service was good. Good sized portion only downside was the roast potatoes. Other than that good vist
The restaurant was drafty and cool! The Sunday roast was average. The service was mediocre.
We had a lovely evening. Very attentive staff. Food most enjoyable. We recommend the ribs
We were disappointed with the cod. My wife did not like the black skin and I disliked the large amount of salt on the fish. We appreciate the cost of fish is increasing but felt the small size was a compromise too far. The chips are still wonderful.
Great food. Really well look after. Definitely a return visit
