Realistically everything was fine with the Kensington Wine Rooms - thank you. Loved it and was looking forward to going there from the time we left Australia. It was the first place to visit on our agenda. We flew in that afternoon from Oz and we had wine / dinner that evening at the Wine Rooms. WE will be back. Perfect!. 4 of us met there. Unfortunately, there was a table beside us that were so overly loud. We happen to be next to them. Not the Wine Room's fault!

Went for dinner with friends last night, such a lovely place. Great food, great wine and knowledgeable, attentive staff.

Unfortunately the quality of food impacted the experience - the wine is good value but with all three dishes being below par, the consensus is that the bar is not for eating.

The wine selection and menu is always interesting and seasonal.

I had a pleasant meal with a nice bottle of wine. The venue was quite quiet for a bank holiday weekend.

Great atmosphere, Great food!! Arrived at 6 on a Friday. Was sat right away with a reservation. Got very busy by 7pm. Service was good ... not great. Would definitely go back

Nice, quiet place. Interesting cross-over menu with some surprising combinations. Extensive wine list with some older wines. Lovely service-minded staff. We really enjoyed this restaurant.

Food was nice but service disappeared toward the end of the evening as staff were hurrying off to New Year’s Eve festivities perhaps? Would have been nice to have been offered a sip of champagne when midnight struck! Probably wouldn’t eat there again

A lovely evening of food and wine. Friendly service with good advice on pairings and individual glasses. A few extra words to get to 25.

Went to try restaurant after several visits to wine bar. Disappointed with menu - only fish dish not available. We left without eating. Would not go back to restaurant.

Excellent place with first class food, service and wines!! The manager is from South Africa and had some good suggestions, A fine choice all around!

Overall a lovely experience. Very Christmassy at this time of year. We ate in the back room which lacked atmosphere compared to the front . It was a special family occasion so we paid up the high prices but really it was too expensive for what it was and it needed more vegetarian options.

Gorgeous wine from a huge menu, lovely food, from a small menu. Service attentive without being overbearing. Good atmosphere and not rushed. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

We had a lovely tasty meal with a good bottle of malbec. The atmosphere was perfect, not to loud. Has a cosy feel to it, service was on point.

Food is very good, atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very helpful and attentive, however the wines are expensive. Being able to try lots of different wines is a major selling point, but most are overpriced when you want a glass full. Top marks for quality and variety, minus a point for leaving a bad taste in your mouth when the bill arrives.

Good ambience, friendly & prompt services, good food and of course, good wines! The bar section is perfect for wines and conversation. If you like good food, book a table in Dining room.

I was quite disappointed with the service which I thought was sloppy. The waitress was very vague about the ingredients of the dish when asked and service was slow. When clearing the table she dropped the cutlery on my skirt. The food was very nice though and the wine delicious.

£114 for a bottle of Albariño white wine and nibbles for 3 people. Nice food but rather pricey. Nice atmosphere and pleasant service all around.

Friendly staff, nice wine selection, concept of bar, and good food. The foi gras when I went during winter was amazing, however this time I was very disappointed. Had this very tangy taste. Jason iberico was not as aged as last time, though the cutting skills were excellent. The staff at the beginning were not very attentive, and forgot to give us the wine list although we bought the card for the tasting machines. Very friendly though understaffed perhaps.

There was very little service from start to finish. Servers did not communicate with each other. We didn't have a server at all without going up and directly asking for service. There was no engagement when we asked for wine recommendations or descriptions, no one even asked us if we wanted to order food or anything else. Unfriendly, not engaged service in a barely half-full restaurant.

Service was terrible. Food was quite good and good portion sizes. Waiter wasn’t around much and distracted. Took forever to get our order submitted and even longer to eat.

A pearl in Kensington. Very tasty food, a nice place with good service. We hade a great dinner all of us. We loved the tuna.

A really terrific meal. We had the beef for two with the recommended Bordeaux. Medium rare was perfect. Potatoes, salad, ice cream, it was all excellent. And great service, too!
