Nice place, but food was a little disappointing on the day we went. Staff very friendly and service friendly a good.

Last minute planned Carvery with my mum as always piping hot food with plenty on the deck, staff always friendly/helpful & on hand to help. Always clean & tidy in all areas & plenty of soap out in the bathroom

Staff excellent with my elderly parents, moved our table so they were sat closer to buffet as they had limited mobility. Excellent

There were six in our party, four had the carvery and two had lamb shank with carvery veg. Excellent food, lovely and hot, staff very pleasant.

This was our first time at The Island Pool and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was lovely and spacious, staff were friendly and not pushy. There was a lovely selection of food at the carvery. We will definitely be back in the future! :)

Overall the food was excellent. We were shown into the small dining room which looked a bit tatty. Staff generally were very pleasant.

As always The Island Pool is a fantastic place to eat. The meat is beautifully cooked, and plenty of fresh potato's and vegetables. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Hint though, book in advance as the Island Pool is very popular.

The carvery has at least 4 different meats the largest variety of veg I have found at any local carvery and all cooked to a great standard. Great value for money. I would always book in advance but they do try and accommodate couples if you walk in on spec.

4 of us visited all decided to have the Carvery and we all said how good it was. Good price, All meats cooked beautifully and a good sized portion, good range of Veg and Potatoes and the selections we had were all fresh tasting so had not been being kept hot too long. Our table was in a corner location which was great for us no draughts! no one pushing past etc. We were not rushed to leave our table either (yes it was a mid week lunch) so suited us as we did a lot of chatting. We only had one drink each but for 4 drink and meals for under £40 i think these days is very reasonable.

Excellent buffet breakfast had by all. All food was freshly cooked and tasty.

Food quality, taste and choice were excellent, queuing for carvery right next to our table spoilt the dining experience, would probably not go again for Sunday lunch.

Had an amazing buffet breakfast there today with refillable hot drink until 11am. Would highly recommend.

It was my first visit, and every report I had had from friends who had been before where spot on. The Carvery was excellent, as was the attention from all the staff. Can thoroughly recommend and will certainly be returning soon.

Very disappointing again, too many customers and not enough staff. One of our party’s food arrived 15 minutes after we had finished our meal and it was the wrong meal. This is not the first time we have been disappointed in this way, the only good thing was our waitress.

Fantastic first visit and certainly won't be the last. Good food and friendly atmosphere. Can't wait for a return visit soon

The food was lovely lots to choose from and all hot and being topped up every time something got low staff were nice and pleasant and price was great I will recommended it to any one I know and shall be going again

Eat there often. Always enjoy my meal. Service very good and I feel comfortable with the good atmosphere. Will not be beaten on price.

We had a nice meal, we had to wait some time for our table to be made up because of a large party using the table we needed adding onto ours and our children did start to get a bit restless but other than that the food was amazing and we had a nice experience.

Great carvery. Normal meals love very good too! But yet to try!
