Table booked for 7:30 had to wait until after 8:00 Before seated after reminding staff. Not too happy with this.

Food excellent as usual but service not up to usual standard. There was a young waiter who was obviously a complete rookie and should definitely have had some more training before being left to serve a large table, quite often in his own.

Really good food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere! The staff were really friendly and helpful, food came out in good time and the flavours were really good! I’d go back and would recommend!

Party of seven. Food was fine. Waiter service good. Manager invisible until he asked us to leave because he was closing! WE WERE GUESTS IN THE HOTEL!!!!

Lovely food as always, really enjoyed the amuse bouche tasters as well! The smell as you walk into the bar area makes you salivate and the funky relaxed decor and atmosphere is ideal to have a drink while you wait.

Every thing was 100.% Great night I will tell all my friends to go and experience the different taste and infuriating of spices. Cocktail was excellent.

Our 2nd visit and it didn't disappoint. A very interesting menu, difficult to decide what to choose. Very satisfied with the meal and service. Our only gripe is that the tables for two are a bit small.

Courteous welcome by all staff and offered a number of tables at which to sit. Given time to settle down before being asked about drink requirement. No hurry to order given plenty of time to browse menus and to ask questions about the array of different dishes. All courses beautifully presented which complimented the taste and quality. Not the first time we have visited and will not be the last. All set off in a calm and ambient Restsurant.

Although the entrance is a little strange, walking through the basement and pst the entry to the gym as soon as you walk into the bar area it is completely worth it. The decor is bright, with the sofas and the wallpaper giving you lots to look at..........We were met by 2 members of staff who were extremely welcoming and informative throughout the whole evening, from the explaining of the Indian Shiraz to help with the choices on the menu. All courses were incredible.......personally I had the kebab to start and then the Goat Curry, both exceptional. The taster of Carrot & Ginger soup was amazing.........All in all a brilliant evening, if we ever visit the area again we'll definitely eat there again..

By the sea, the location in the Imperial Hotel is excellent. Great food, great service, reasonable prices. What more do you want? I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice ambiance; friendly, attentive staff. Food was ok, but I have to say I discovered that I prefer my Indian food traditional. Not for me, but a lot of people rave about it, so don't pay any attention to my review!

We were greeted by a very inviting and colourful environment, also very friendly and helpful staff. A very nice touch was when the genius of a chef introduced himself to us. We immediately shook him by the hand, it was fabulous food, absolutely delicious, full of flavour. Best Indian cuisine we’ve had outside of India. We live quite a long way from Hythe but really hope to be back again when next this way.

Food amazing. The best Indian dishes I've eaten outside of India. Staff friendly. Only rated 5 as both draft beer and bottles of cobra were unavailable.

Delicious food, great service. Loved the little touches of Amuse Bouche at the start and a delicious soupçon of soup between starter and main. If the snow wasn’t coming down so heavily we’d have stayed for dessert too!

Again excellent. Been to the " Holy Pundit " many times , service very good, staff good, atmosphere good,can't fault the food all in all a good evening.

This was one of the best restaurants we have ever been in, my husband was so impressed with the food he shook the Chef's hand.

Food was amazing and good value. Atmosphere was very good too. Staff were very helpful and on the whole, very efficient. My only critisism would have been with regard to one of our deserts having to be requested after quite a wait. Didn't affect a lovely evening though. Thank you.

Great night the food was amazing. We had our 7 year old with us and they catered for children which was a plus. Best Indian food we have tasted.

Special Valentine’s meal with complimentary rose for each lady! Beautifully cooked to order with little appetisers in between courses. Spicy but just the right level of hotness. Xx

Wow! Amazing food and amazing service !! Lovely little complimentary dishes given to us all in between meals. I Cannot wait to go back again !

Food and overall experience was good, however when we paid for our bill we were expecting £18 change back but never received it. We waited at the table for 15 minutes before going to the bar where we was told that they were busy so it was put into a pot! The receipt was put away so looked like it had already been cashed and we were never going to get it back.

Lovely food and service, not the biggest fan of indian type of food but really enjoyed every dish. My boyfriend however is a big fan and says he will be back just for the restaurant!

Restaurant was uncomfortably warm inside. The dishes we ordered all tasted very similar. Didn't rate the Rose wine by the glass either. We'll go to the Coast restaurant next time!

A great evening with excellent attentive service. The food was delicious and plentiful and we will definitely return. The atmosphere was relaxing and just what we needed.

I went to the Holy Pundit with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We chose it because it had a separate vegan menu and I liked the look of the local sourcing of food and their general ethics. We found it somewhat difficult to find a parking space (5.30 on a Saturday), but this was more than likely due to the building work at the Hythe Imperial. The staff at the Holy Pundit were extremely pleasant, attentive, helpful and able to describe in detail what ingredients the dishes on the menus contained. The meals were good and I would recommend to anyone who is keen to know what they're eating. The staff were also very patient and kind with our two-year-old granddaughter.
