Friendly welcome with a choice of tables, even though we had a reservation. Attentive staff without being in your face. Lovely food reasonably priced. We had a great evening. Beautiful building in fabulous location.

Lovely setting and atmosphere. I had a chicken ballotine dish which was tasty. My daughter had the chargrilled ribeye steak. A pricey for us at nearly £24. A large piece of the steak was sinewy and my daughter couldn’t cut through it. When I went to pay the bill and raise concerns, I was told that they could have done something about it if I had flagged it up. That was what I was doing! As a tourist, I left disappointed at our most expensive meal of our stay.

It didn't start off well with a disinterested young waitress seemingly reluctant to ask us if we wanted any help or had booked. Eventually after a few minutes of standing by the bar, and us looking at her - she did ask us did we want help. Told her we had booked a table. She showed us to a reserved table. From then on everything was AMAZING!!! Great service and fast by the proprietor. The best roast chicken for flavour and tenderness EVER served on a platter with vegetables, yorkshire puddings and roasts. Everything cooked to perfection!! Superb value of money. 100% recommend.

They said they didn’t have our booking. I pointed it out to them, they then said we’d have to find a unreserved table (they had none) and when I went back said they suddenly didn’t have my booking. Very rude and unhelpful.

This was a Sunday lunch with several family members. I thought the pub decor was a bit tired . The music playing in the background was 1980s which was not really Sunday lunch type music. We couldn’t fault the food as it was traditionally Sunday lunch and really delicious.

The menu has a lot more choice in the summer but in fairness it is fairly quiet in March so i don't hold that against them, the Pizzas are fab when they have it running and the food is always nice

mt Friend and I visited on a Saturday night. The pub was busy and the atmosphere was good. We both ordered pies for our main meal - one vegan and one meat - however, I was told the chicken pie on the menu had run out and so wasn’t offered a turkey pie instead which was fine. The food we received was mediocre and a bit bland, although was presented nicely. We ordered; ginger sponge which was ok and obviously out of the microwave, and a (very stingey portion of) vegan crumble tart which was

We h a d great meal at The Greyhound, Corfe Castle. First time visitors of the Greyhound despite only living in Bournemouth, and passing it hundreds of times. We shared their Rotissarie Chicken which was tasty and succulent, with roasted potatoes and root veg. Our starters of of Calamari and prawns with aioli was very nice, and desserts of Camille cheesecake with berries and rum enthused apple and raisin crumble with rum and raison ice cream were delicious. Thank you everyone for a lovely treat. Diet starts tomorrow.

As always, a warm welcome, good service, food and drink. The Greyhound never lets you down. Their menu is always good, with many choices. Another big plus is that it is dog friendly.
