Great food, although we missed the pizzas they normally do in the summer.
Very good service, nice surroundings and atmosphere but food was only ok. This was due to the two main course centre pieces we ordered - faggots and lentil burger - being borderline “tough” due to being pre-cooked and left under too much heat before serving. Both had a sort of hard crust that was difficult to cut. Accompanying vegetable etc were very good.
Overall good visit but very disapointed with the calamari starter only 5 pieces and £7.00 also £4.00 for 3 tiny pieces of garlic bread should be ashamed
Great food, weird vibe stared at by a woman when we walked in... I think she may have owned the place, but bit strange... Everything else was great.
Great food - even the dog had his own menu!
Super friendly staff, delicious food and the guy on singing was incredible! The perfect Saturday afternoon
Lovely friendly welcome, fabulous food and great service. What a lovely find
A very good experience. Thanks. Sadly no cakes available today.
Friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Reliably good food.
Lovely pub, good vegan options including a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding. And really friendly service.
We would definitely choose to visit again if we are in the area
I mentioned to the Bar Manager that the Boondoggle was below par. My pint was replaced without question after a fresh barrel was connected up; beer quality excellent! Well done The Greyhound, and many thanks.
Absolutely love it here, always an amazing meal. Can you please make sure you read the notes on reservations though as we had a pushchair and you tried to get us on a table right in the corner. This was quickly resolved once we mentioned it but could have been avoided. Will definitely be back though.
Nice restaurant, easy to reach by car, super easy to make a reservation on line!
Lovely food, great atmosphere beer garden has great view of Corfe Castle
Lovely gardens beautiful views over Corfe Castle very good meal
I chose the Veggie Crunch, most of which was unpleasant. The croutons were stale white bread, not toasted or fried, and there were a lot of them. The walnuts were stale. I had to search for the few pieces of avocado. Too much onion. The new potatoes appeared to be leftover saute potatoes from several days ago. The dressing was bitter and spoilt the salad. Only the falafels were pleasant. A horrible meal, and we cancelled our booking for later in the week.
The food was lovely, no doubt about that but we found the staff a little under pressure and lacking customer service, we got a hello but a smile goes a long way too! Especially the young lad behind the bar!! We wasn’t overly happy with the 10% service charge automatically being added on to the bill, I’m sure it’s the customers choice to pay it!! When we’re on holiday there again I don’t think we’ll eat there again as it costs more than what you work out from the menu because of the service charge. Such a shame!!
Food was delicious!! Plenty of choice on menu, will go back again xx
Good pizza and music outside. Perfect location, easy next door to the castle
Very polite quick service. Food was very tasty and we'll presented. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Very relaxed atmosphere. Only comment was that the children's chicken meal had so much meat that a lot was left to waste. Would have been happy with half the amount! Thank you Greyhound.
The staff were very accommodating as we had 2 vegans in our party . Our food came very quickly but the pizza arrived a bit later as they said it was busy and it came from a different part of the kitchen . The desserts were very good and there was also a vegan choice . We would definitely go again . Thanks to the waiting and bar staff too !
Service and menu choice very poor...this was our second visit after such a lovely first time and it was very very disappointing
When we arrived for our reserved table it took ages to get someone’s attention to tell them we’d arrived. There was also no table service and we had to order at the bar. Finally when I went to settle the bill I was not given an itemised bill to check. I was just told the cost (over £100) and just received a credit card receipt.
Disappointed with the menu and reform. The pub used to be amazing. Cosy and friendly with delicious food. It has obviously changed hands since we last visited. The menu was boring and they had run out ice cream 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. The restaurant was run by kids with no supervision. They had been trained well but spent most of their time in a group chatting and yawning. An adult appeared from the kitchen to scowl at a client because she had cancelled her dessert when she found out that they had run out of ice-cream. Wouldn't recommend this place and wont be back.
The food was only moderate and certainly overpriced. The service was good, though.
Second visit for the best roast chicken for two. Well three including our little dog so welcoming. Lovely staff to. Great place good atmosphere excellent service
Lovely food and excellent service. Good value for money as well.
The food and ambience were ok. We wouldn’t return again.
We often come here when visiting the area. Food is good, service is good and not too expensive (considering its location).
food was really nice, just the edges of the pizza where burnt to crisp, black! The center and all other food was really good :)
Long wait.had to go to bar to ask for our order to be taken and to request bill. No one came to ask how our meal was or if we wanted more drinks. Charged over £4.25 for a half of cider. Fish and chips came with 9 chips..
Food was lovely, with a vast menu very efficient and good service, only thing was the restaurant wasn’t a little cold
What a gem! Beautiful old oak beamed pub and gorgeous garden with views of Corfe Castle. Supurb food, efficient and friendly service. Really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend to all.
Fantastically varied menu that caters well for meat eaters and vegetarians. We had great space eating around large table
The meal was basic, service basic. Wouldn't recommend or go again
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, meal was beautifully presented and tasted great.
Good atmosphere in the pub and service very good. The only disappointment was I ordered chicken Ballantine and it was a halved chicken Breast stuffed with cheese not a stuffed and rolled price of chicken so technically should not have been advertised as such. It was however quite tasty
We have eaten in The Greyhound before and decided to take some family members for dinner. The food was good and service very good. I would recommend the Greyhound.
We sat outside in the sun. Enjoyable and well presented lunch
Average quality food. Quite pricey for what's offered. Beer good.
No parking, slow service, average food. Great beer garden and ales were nice
Poor food. Disinterested staff. Wine indifferent. Not a place to recommend as a gastropub.
Delicious food in a lovely setting. Manager very welcoming and attentive
Nice lunch but very big portions and roast potatoes were very garlicy
Friendly welcome with a choice of tables, even though we had a reservation. Attentive staff without being in your face. Lovely food reasonably priced. We had a great evening. Beautiful building in fabulous location.
We visit this pub/restaurant every time we visit Dorset, always excellent
4 adults and a 2+ child great food and service.
Yummy fish and chips Very prompt service and great beer
Very pleasant meal. No problems. Thank you very much! Sunday
