Nice atmosphere, friendly,helpful staff. Food lovely and served nice and hot. Good choice on menu and in my opinion priced reasonably. If going arkund Christmas market would definitely book. Would definitely recommend.

Arrived earlier than booked and staff able to accommodate us with a table. Food excellent as well as the customer service. A must place to eat/drink on a visit to Lincoln

Food was excellent and great value. Service first class. My partner and I had steaks and both cooked perfectly to individual taste. Will definitely be visiting again.

Sat in the bar area not restaurant as per my booking. Sat at high tables. Food took over 1 hour. Despite good reviews, the food wasn’t up to standard. Fish Pie - All mashed potato. Fish & Chips - Thick & tasteless covering of batter. Was offered 30% discount!! Paid for drinks & left.

The place has a nice atmosphere and was very busy which is a good sign however, a lot of people plus quite loud background music made holding conversations difficult at times. It's not a very big dining room so maybe mute the music when it's full ??. The food was tasty however, the Stilton sauce was very wishy washy both in consistency and flavour but this was not apparent until it had been poured over the steak so be warned...taste/check it before you pour it !! The portion sizes were good except for the cheeseboard which was overpriced and seriously lacking in quantity with thin slivers rather than 'chunks' of cheese so could definitely do better there. The staff are attentive without being overbearing and overall we enjoyed our evening.

Food was great but unfortunately the restaurant was freezing which didn’t make eating very comfortable. Sold out of Malbec wine but a delivery of wine was being made while we were there. The delivery of wine was probably the reason it was so cold because the outside doors were constantly open or left open while this took place.

Great atmosphere. Menu so good it's difficult to decide what to have. From the pie to the burger everything sounds delicious. Will definitely go again.

Love it here! Have eaten here 3 or 4 times as a visitor to Lincoln. Food is great and the staff make it extra special!

Didn’t correspond with rave reviews! Service was very slow, some starters not delivered until chased up! Garlic bread was delicious but unfortunately the Fish pie was just reheated mash and not much else, it was so dry I had to use gravy from husbands meal!

Such a great pub with a good variety of beers. Atmosphere is vibrant and relaxing. We also had food which was very good as was the service at our table.

Cannot fault food at all, however having been squeezed in on a table blocking the walk way, one of our guests was continuously being asked to move while staff carried chairs over his head and bumped his chair every few minutes while trying to serve other tables

Good service as always however our meal was spoilt by a very over cooked steak pie. I needed a hammer to break into the pastry! Was given 20% off the price of the pie to compensate

We booked a table for a family gathering it was important that we had a good time. The Duke William gave us great atmosphere, good food and excellent service.

Really good food and a great mixed age atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. Nothing is too much trouble well done all round. Booking advised for the restaurant.

We had a lovely meal and a fab evening with our sons, one of whom is in the first year at Lincoln Uni - we will certainly be back next time we visit!

Food was delicious and atmosphere was just right. Had a nice buzz around but not too noisy even with a large party in. No one in our party had a bad thing to say about the food the chorizo cod was very tasty.

Booked a table for a Sunday for 5 pm after being told that they serve food including roasts until 9 pm . When we arrived we was told that they had run out of roast dinners so had to order fish and chips from the menu. The food and service was good and the pub is very nice and is in a good location .

Exceptional roast lamb with accompaniments . The special mussels with chorizo linguine was to die for. Excellent service...would highly recommend to all ...thank you 😁😁😁

Comfy clean room with a great shower. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found the food and service were both excellent. Will definitely be going back

This restaurant is in a great location, with good food, at a fair price, with a relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

We had a delicious meal and our waiter was delightful . We were with our brother and sister in law from Canada so was perfect location for a good catch up

Initially offered a table next to the door. Asked to move and they laid another table for us. 4 persons all had 3 courses everybody enjoyed all of the food. Nice atmosphere. We didn’t leave until 11.45 but they didn’t ask us to leave.

It was very busy but the service was great and the meal was excellent. Look forward to going again as we really enjoyed our evening

We had a lovely Sunday lunch , meeting up with our son who has just started at university . Very friendly and welcomed dogs. We had sirloin Sunday Lunch, chicken supreme Sunday Lunch , both came with a large Yorkshire pudding , mash, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and veg . They also brought extra gravy on request which was nice. We also had burger and pea and broccoli risotto which was very enjoyable. Thank you .

Sunday evening dinner with a friend. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was good quality but not in your face and the food was of a high standard. Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed this time. Went for a family celebration and found the service and the food not up to their usual standard. Among other things the roast beef dinner was swimming in gravy and only had 2 small thin slices of meat. Considering the price I would have expected more. I complained to the waitress but she really didn’t seem bothered.
