Despite alerting the venue that one guest had an egg allergy we waited 20 minutes for that menu to appear. The drinks took another ten minutes and it was 13.45 by the time we got the food. The table was next to a drain and rat trap, with ants everywhere. We will not be going back.

First visited this restaurant in August 2017. On that occasion I had a fabulous meal. Upon my return to Lincoln in July 2021 I had no reservations about returning for our evening meal. The premises were spotless. The staff were polite and engaging. The food could not have been hotter. Overall an excellent meal. Great efforts had been made to make the restaurant covid secure. Next time we are in Lincoln I will have no hesitation in booking a table. :)

Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Felt very safe. But the food was disappointing- my fishcakes was brown and crispy with little taste, and the moules were overcooked. My husband’s burger was made of gristly meat. Nothing bad enough to complain about but it could have been much better.

Always enjoyable experience, visit quite often and always have a lovely time. The only little gripe I have is we asked for a particular table and were promised it, but when we got there, we were told someone else was sitting there. It’s easy enough to do, just place a reserve on the table or tell anyone else they can sit there but the table is reserved from 7pm say, and they would be required to vacate the table at that time. It’s happened a couple of times when a specific table has been promised. Other than that, still love the place and enjoy going, even just for a drink…

Warm welcome, Covid safe and friendly table staff. Plenty on the menu for meat eaters but limited veggie choice but the menu does change. Quality of food was very good.

It was excellent but, based on my experience as a veteran of dining at the Duke William, it was nothing other than I expected. I hope to be returning again soon.
