Fantastic food, very friendly and attentive staff, highly recommend visiting !! 10/10

Food good as always however our table was what I can only describe as in a corridor (by the doors to the outside area) and it was quite cold.

Lovely food, welcoming friendly staff. They were there when we needed them and not there when we didn’t. Will recommend to friends and family.

Excellent food, prompt, friendly, efficient service, nice menu selection, food and plates piping hot, overall an excellent lunch. This was a Sunday lunch for family and friends meeting up. The venue was chosen because of its location, i.e. on a pretty street in Lincoln, with parking nearby. We all chose the Sunday (main and sweet courses) and we all had an excellent enjoyable meal. The service staff were very pleasant and attentive. We were all highly satisfied.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and ate here twice. Good food, good service and a very relaxed atmosphere. It's a cut above standard pub food, I would definitely eat here again.

Booked a table and had a lovely meal again here at Duke William. The scallops starter was excellent. Main dishes were fab too especially the lamb shank 😋

The dining room is cosy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive yet not intrusive. The food was excellent We all enjoyed our meals (duck confit, sausage and mash, fisherman’s pie). All meals were well cooked and piping hot and the seasonal vegetables fresh and tasty. Drinks and food are very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed and this contributed to the overall experience of having s really nice meal in very pleasant surroundings. We’ll said we had had a totally lovely evening and will be returning and recommending to friends and family.

I would usually never hesitate in giving a glowing review for 'the Duke'- have caught them on an off-day. The food was extremely late arriving, approx 50+ mins after ordering, then when it arrived it wasn't as described on the menu. Plain ol' mashed potato arrived though the menu promised sautéed garlic gnocchi as promised. Not a word from the waiter unfortunately until I queried, perhaps hoping I'd never notice. Disappointing experience, perhaps they've just become too busy ....

Great restaurant! I always love to come here. The on my thing is that it always takes a long time before somebody comes to you to ask if you made a reservation or not. And then you just stand there a bit akward .

The food was slightly over cooked, however it was well presented and still toasted lovely. It was very busy and the staff appeared rushed but efficient.

Good tasty food and extremely nice staff, who were happy to make suggestions but not at all pushy. Nice ambience too, busy but not rowdy.

This place has Excellent food, personally a big fan of any soup that they do. A great atmosphere to match and the staff are very welcoming.

Valentines set menu was not worth the inflated prices, maybe stick to the menu you can deliver rather than producing sub-standed food and receiving poor feedback.

Great food, we really enjoyed the Sunday roast meat rolls with gravy and roast potatoes - absolutely delicious! The chocolate brownie for pudding was rich and decadent - so good! The Duke William has a lovely atmosphere - we will return soon.

A fantastic evening, great meal (the cod with chilli and chorizo was fantastic) excellent range of beer and wine and a really pleasant atmosphere created by staff and guests. A great night out.

Food was excellent. Catering for gluten free was no problem. Staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone. Will be eating there again for sure.

Good food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly ambiance. Found the menu varied enough, can recommend the mussels. In the heart of the Historic Bailgate quarter. We’ve been here a number of times recently and can happily recommend to others

Lovely food and atmosphere. Staff are very attentive and nothing is too much. My husband had the pie which was a 'proper' pie, I had the chicken pesto and mozzarella burger which was beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful evening

Not our best evening at the Duke, which is one of our favourite restaurants. Will ask for a different table next time and hope the food is back to its usual high quality.

A few minutes walk from the cathedral and castle area. Had a rump steak with pepper sauce (£3 extra). Food is really good. Staff is friendly.

A lovely meal in a beautiful setting. We eat and use the bar regularly. Good selection of beers nice food and great service. We’ll be back very soon.

We found the place very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing not cheap, above average very tasty and plenty of it. We will be returning to this wonderful place.

A very warm welcome. Great selection of drinks; own brewed beer, flavoured gins, good priced wines e.g. very nice Malbec for under £20 / bottle. The menu has great variety, we opted for Sunday roasts; perfectly cooked Beef and Lamb with all the trimmings. The atmosphere is lovely, with subdued lighting. Service from all the staff is friendly and attentive. This was our first visit for a meal and we will definitely be returning.

Brilliant meal, really tasty. Couldn’t fault a thing, or the service. Only didn’t give full marks because we were sat near the beer garden doors that had a cold draft coming through the gaps. So we felt cold eating our meal.

Myself and my husband went out for a Christmas treat, it was super busy but the waiting staff were fantastic. We had the best food and didn't have to wait ages for it. This is why it's one of our most favourite places to eat! Keep it up guys x

First night 3 meals were served cold, replaced, but took a long time to serve. Second night similar incident, ran out of food, then second choice was also out. Service was slow too.

Great service even on a busy Saturday with the Christmas market on. Staff were friendly and fun and made the whole family welcome from the 1 year old to the grandad, tailored the menu to cater for a fussy 6 year old. The food was great and plentiful, the beer also good for a fussy grandad. Great to see a business know what customer service is all about. Lastly the 1 year old ate is meal and grandad got in trouble for allowing him to eat all his ice cream though I did help a little and it was delicious. We will back in the summer to eat again.
