We have eaten here on numerous occasions and have been happy with the food and service but last night was very disappointing so much so that we will not be eating here again. We booked a table for 8pm and it wasn't ready when we got there, we ordered our meal and drinks neither had arrived within 40mins so chased up drinks, my drink was brought to the table and husbands wasn't, the food order hadn't been sent to the kitchen so had to be ordered again so it was well over an hour before our meals eventually arrived and when the did quality of our meal was quite frankly very poor. We did not complain at the time because we dont like to so paid the £76 bill and left - regret not complaining now though as left feeling fed up about the cost of our evening for the disappointing experience.

I live in Norwich but my Daughter is at University in Lincoln... I visit her regularly and we ALWAYS eat at the Duke William... It is by far the best restaurant in the centre of Lincoln.

Dinner for four, Saturday 27th April. Excellent food attentive service, a very good table - slightly larger than the average- I cannot think of any one thing with which we were even slightly dissatisfied. Thank you.

Fantastic visit we stay here at least three times a year with friends and it never disappoints. Staff are very friendly, good atmosphere and very nice food.

Was seated next to the kitchen door which felt like we wasn’t even in the restaurant, The smell of cooking was left smelling on our clothes all nigh! Very disappointed.

Very busy because of the Lincoln 10k run but we were well looked after as usual. We had friends up for Birmingham and Bolton and they were very happy with their experience.

I found the food rather ordinary for the prices. What was advertised as a ‘sirloin’ cut of beef certainly didn’t look like sirloin despite the price. Everything was swimming in gravy. I was hoping for better but it was a very busy day in the restaurant.

Really impressed with my visit. Came on a Sunday and ordered the beef roast which was delicious and cooked perfectly. The Panna cotta desert was also lovely. Cosy atmosphere and great service!

Wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere! Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Very much enjoyed.

Took Mum for Mother's day. Both our Sunday dinners were excellent. Free prosecco for Mum was a lovely touch and she really appreciated.

Lovely menu choices for visiting colleagues from Sweden, one of whom is a vegetarian.

Visted for lunch on Mother’s day, so pub was very busy. Service was quick and friendly and staff very helpful. Food generally very good, however, roast potatoes were very poor - not crispy and tasted of old oil. Yorkshire puds were well risen and crisp, but again tasted of old cooking oil. It’s a shame, as otherwise it was a really good experience.

We had a fantastic lunch. Perfect end to a perfect day. Good service and very good staff.

Lovely selection of food for a lunchtime. The layout of the eating areas is such that it is easy to hear each other without having to raise your voice. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience.
