The Cradock Arms

We turned up a couple of minutes before our booking but were waiting for 5 mins in the indicated spot before any staff came to see us and directed us to our seats. We were then left, without menus, for ten minutes with no staff nearby to hail. Gave up and left - felt like we were in the way with our toddler to be honest.

Ate at 1 o;clock on a friday , the service was good and the food excellent

It was a busy Friday night so did not expect a quiet night! In addition there had been a wake in the afternoon and a lot of the guests were still there so there was nowhere to sit but appreciate it's a one off. I go to the Cradock a lot so I now what to expect

Again - very good sunday lunch. Had starters and main. Good portions and very tasty. Service with a smile which is not always the case elsewhere these days 👍

As always, food was excellent, dessert was superb. I don’t really understand the recent negative reviews I had read. Just go and try yourselves, you won’t b disappointed.

As always, delicious choice of meals, even for vegetarians (the halloumi burger is yum). Service is prompt and staff polite and friendly. Love this place.

One member of staff was not very friendly, Food was disappointing, asked for salad which did not look anything like salad should, was red and yellow sliced peppers with some kind of sauce, no sign of lettuce, tomato ,or cucumber. Portions of chips very small . 4 VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS

We have eaten here a fair bit but yesterday was by far the worst experience we have had. It was literally freezing in the restaurant so we ate with our coats on and the roast potatoes were undercooked and tasteless other than that the rest of the food was lovely

We asked for two meals to take away as well as the meals we were having ourselves, they did us two meals to take away and they also were amazing. The staff always aim to please.

Lovely food, great ambience, this was our second visit, I chose to come here to celebrate my birthday and it certainly didn't disappoint us.

This was our first meal at the Cradock and it surpassed expectations. A very good Sunday lunch with lots of choice. The service was excellent and we were well looked-after. My special request for a table with space for a pram was met, and they placed us close to the baby change facilities which was really thoughtful. They were very busy - fully booked for lunch that day, but the food and waiting times were not affected by how busy it was. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

All four of us had fish, chips and peas. My piece of fish had a lot of bones in it. Also the portions of mushy peas were so small. It wouldn’t count much to my “5 a day” .

There was a table of 10 elderly ladies who were a bit noisy but probably because they were a little hard of hearing!!!!

Friendly, polite, helpful staff, always had a smile. Nice greeting as we arrived. Knowledgeable about food and could answer questions. Very delicious food. Beautifully cooked. Fairly pricey, especially side dishes and just some of the mains. Dessert prices very reasonably priced though. Pleasant atmosphere, comfortable, pub atmosphere with high standards. Well done The Cradock!
