The Cradock Arms

Lovely meal and atmosphere. We were near to a log fire which was a bit hot as the evening went on. The staff kindly offered us another table but we declined because we were already settled. We have made a note not to sit at that table next time. Everything else fantastic!

Fabulous meal, served by happy, attentive staff. Good to see Porto Chicken back! The Bailey’s and Dark Chocolate bread and butter pudding was to die for!

We had a lovely meal and the staff were very attentive and we didn’t have to wait long to be served.

Food great, one waitress was very grumpy and dismissive. Not very pleasant at all. Told us we had to leave 10 minutes before our time which we were not aware of. Apologies if I didn’t read the small print. Shame, we may have left earlier if our wait time for drinks and food had been reasonable.

Excellent service, good food in a pleasant and well maintained pub.

My mum had gloopy soup which was served up with no spoon ( we had to ask for one ) and an empty bowl where the butter should have been. She asked for ice cream , it came with chocolate sauce ( no-one asked if she’d like it - she doesn’t ) again came with no spoon and had to ask. The price of the ice cream on the bill was also more than quoted on the menu - this was amended though. Thank you for that. Salads were really nice, the roast was lukewarm but my son didn’t want to say anything as my mum wasn’t happy with her meal . Never been to the Cradock on a Sunday before so not as impressed with the service as we’ve had before.

Love the Craddock every time I go. Delicious food, good value and consistency is key. Have been many times and will continue. Plus my friends Granny was born there when it was a farmhouse 90 years ago!

The restaurant manager was very accommodating to our group on a busy Xmas Eve. The food was delicious and the waitressing staff kind and friendly. All in all we had a great time in a warm and friendly atmosphere

Myself and 4 siblings met up for a much needed Xmas catch up . Our meal was delicious ! and served by our lovely friendly waitress . The staff were attentive and very pleasant and they let us stay and chat without having to move on .. we will definitely come here again and recommend it to friends and family . Thankyou , Hilary

Easy booking, very pleasant table, food and service very good.

The poor service I’ve complained about before. Groups of staff stand around talking to each other rather than taking orders. A table near us had to ask for the pudding order to be taken. Our soup was tepid rather than piping hot as normal so had to go back. I know they were busy…Xmas lunches….but it’s been like this in the evenings for a long time. Does anyone from the CRADOCK read these reviews?

Food was great and the service was great - very friendly and attentive staff. The only problem was the noise levels - there were two tables of very noisy dinners!
