This little gem is a very short walk from the city centre, offers coffee and cake, super suppers and delicious breakfasts and Jazz evenings! Amazing staff and always a warm welcome. Can’t recommend it enough.
Lovely relaxing eatery, very pleasant staff and above all great value, menu has something for everyone and all freshly cooked. What's not to like about this place. Don't hesitate just book a table.
Great place, great food. Excellent staff. It came recommended by a friend who met us there. Very impressed. Would recommmebd this place to our friends.
Delicious food. Nice to have live music but was a little loud so difficult to chat, and had not realised we had to pay £3 per person for the music when we booked. Great service.
Good food, different from the usual menus found and excellent service as usual. The decor and ambience are very pleasing and will be sure to return.
Great food and atmosphere supported by a jazz band. The team producing and serving the food were very polite and friendly. Will return again on our next trip.
Very rushed, arrived close to kitchen closing due to delays in traffic. Only 5 mins to order our meal. Food good though! Would have tucked all the boxes of not rushed?
Atmosphere lovely and on the whole food delicious. Had lamb which was tasty and tender - however difficult to cut and we came to the conclusion it was blunt knives ?
Nice meal, all ‘home made’, the houmous mezzo was tasty, English wine a discovery, great staff, with live acoustic blues/jazz ... just a lovely evening
Delicious food, especially the cake. Staff are lovely, service is always with a smile. Great choice of Gins, background music relaxing. I will definitely be back for more.
This was a great evening. He ate great food, were given great service, listened to some great music, overall a great experience. We will be going back again.
Very friendly place to eat, it was nice to see the new summer menu, lunch was delicious as always, staff very attentive . One of our favourite places to eat in Winchester.
Great food, friendly service. The Corner House was the perfect place, for our group of six, for a restorative morning after! I also highly recommend the evening cocktails.
Nice atmosphere. Very dog-friendly. Veggie option (burger) could do with a bit of jazzing up. We didn’t have it, but the afternoon tea and cakes looked lovely.
Excellent service and delicious food. We loved the quirky decor and the fact that all ingredients used are fresh and locally sourced. The menu is also interesting with traditional breakfasts as well as more unusual dishes.
Great food and service. Great choice of good options! A must go to local restaurant.
Lovely shabby chic interior, very cosy, all local produce, generous breakfast portions, fab coffee, friendly wait staff. Will come back to try the Afternoon tea.
Yummy food. Ok service. Took about half and hour to get the bill off the waitress who was preoccupied with chatting to the barman. Nice atmosphere and very enjoyable lunch nonetheless.
Excellent food, helpful and friendly staff, cosy setting - as always 10/10 and a big thumbs up. The Eggs Blackstone is delicious for breakfast with a big pot of tea!
Excellent breakfast- a bit disappointed that the veggie half breakfast has gone. Great service - please buy marmalade - this is the second time you didn't have any. Overall another great relaxed experience! Thankyou
great daytime restaurent but somehow as an evening dinner venue not quite so captivating. Maybe it’s the menu options all good in themselves , or maybe it’s ourselves who use this often for morning coffee, but there is this question mark over whether it is an enticing evening destination.
As always we had an excellent meal, breakfast, at The Corner House. Really good coffees, fab food and good service. It is such a nice little place.
Lovely Sunday lunch with great service. Definitely would go again. Breakfast is really good too. We were visiting Winchester for the week end with my elderly mum and were told by a friend to try it.
The burger was amazingly delicious! Highly recommend it, very nice atmosphere and quirky decor. Only thing was meals are quite expensive - around £13 for a main.
The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The Corner House has a very warm and inviting atmosphere and is the perfect venue for a cosy lunch with friends.
The food was fantastic and the staff are so friendly. It was a lovely breakfast and the atmosphere is so warm in cosy with the snow outside.
Very lovely evening at the Corner House. Staff are very helpful. Good selection of local beer. They had live jazz music on which made the night for us.
We had the fish platter which has got smaller and smaller and the plate is filled up hard flat bread not nice at all. The service as always was excellent but I have been left with considering a different venue for meeting friends for lunch. Regards M Dean
Friendly relaxed atmosphere with helpful knowledgeable staff, good food, great cocktails and amazing cake. Peering over at our dining neighbours - the Gin afternoon cream tea looked wonderful! Will be back for that for sure
Very yummy and quick service. Perfect for a chilled Sunday morning with your partner family or friends. Friendly staff. Great selection and cake for afters too!
Great food, lovely quiet atmosphere, efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended, especially the breakfast waffles! What else is there to say to fill 25 words?
It’s always a treat going to the Cornerhouse - great breakfast, cosy, homely surroundings and staff are friendly and warm - couldn’t ask for more and will definitely be back soon
It is always agreat atmosphere at The Corner House, good food and live music. Although we had a waiter with a sense of humour failure which is a first, usually everyone is super friendly. I guess we all have bad days!
Lovely place, great food ( Four English Breakfasts ) friendly & helpful staff. Only negative, we were sat near the coffee machine & under a nearby speaker, so, at times noisy when coffee machine being used. Apart from that GREAT thanks !
Would highly recommend the Sunday roast which is huge. The gravy is super! As are the roast potatoes. Always friendly staff and a good atmosphere.
The staff were very friendly and the chef most helpful as he let us sample the soup before deciding. A good meal out for our family and we liked the cosy ambience.
The Corner House is a fabulous independent pub/restaurant. We have celebrated birthdays there, broadcasted, branched, lunched and caked and coffeed. The staff are really kind and helpful and the food is home made and delicious. We will be back.
Good food, pleasant staff, good atmosphere. However only had main course and drinks, but had to wait an hour for food to arrive. Was told it had taken a long while to cook a fish pie for one of our group.
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but the staff did apologise. Good selection of bottled ales. The Staff were reasonably friendly
The Corner House is a quirky cafe with friendly staff and good food. Had a really nice brunch there, loved the eggs blackstone! Would recommend.
Great venue, great location and good food and drink choices, reasonably priced. Perfect for a catch up with friends any time of the day. Highly recommended
Although the food and wine which we had was very nice it was slightly disappointing that the full menu was not available on the day we were there.
Welcoming, accommodating and our needs and wants met with tact, kindness and warmth. Waiting team hosted us perfectly despite 7 covers and 7 different beverages and 6 different breakfasts ordered. Food gorgeous.
Another great experience at The Corner House. Good food and, just as important, coffee! Only minor niggle was lack of butter for our toast with the breakfast.
Lovely food well priced using good ingredients, nice atmosphere very friendly staff. We come for lunch with our little dog who is always made welcome. We have told our friends about the corner house.
A quirky, comfortable and very welcoming restaurant to meet for breakfast. Fantastic locally sourced food, served quickly. One full english, one half english breakfast (both good sized portions) a bacon sandwich and granola served with yoghurt and compote, mmmmmmmmm. The Corner House always provides a peaceful oasis in a busy city, a perfect start to a busy day, thank you.
Great food and amazing service! Will definitely go back! We were lucky enough to have live jazz music too which added to the lovely atmosphere.
Great food, pleasant warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent serving staff. Slightly eccentric decor, low light levels, and muted warm tones. Friday night jazz is a lovely addition to a good meal, and the music never drowns out the conversation.
Amazing food and service. Coffee was wonderful too. I would highly recommend the corner house to anyone looking for a great meal with friends and family.
Very nice meal, well looked after and good drinks choices! Menu a little too restricted this time though, but sometimes that’s the quaintness of the place!
