More about the restaurant: The Chequers Inn
The Chequers Inn is a 16th Century English pub in between Keyhaven and Lymington, and we and the locals can’t get enough. It’s something of a hidden gem along the ancient maritime pathway on the edge of Lymington Salt Marsh and Nature Reserve, and for years it’s been serving a proper pub menu to walkers and families alike. Mains range from English lamb shank braised with red wine, honey and rosemary, right through to homemade pie, fresh fish of the day and, of course, a full roast on Sundays. Reservations at The Chequers Inn are definitely a good idea, especially if you’re visiting at the weekend.
