Overall good food and service, steak wasn't medium rare as requested but well done and pheasant breast, one piece was slightly underdone but nice experience altogether

very nice restaurant and pleasant atmosphere, It was busy when I arrived but I was quickly seated and the food I ordered came out very quick. Good value for money!!

Venue looked lovely very Christmassy and we had a warm welcome from the staff. I had the chicken burger it arrived on a thin oblong tray looked lovely but impractical to eat from everything kept falling onto the table.the brioche bun the burger was served on was burnt and when we asked for glasses of wine the waitress could not understand what we were asking for. The venue was also very cold probably because we were seated not far from the main door. We actually tried to book a table the previous week for a large party for Sunday lunch, now so glad they had no tables left , would not hurry back.

Very nice Christmas lunch last Sunday. The food was delicious, lovely surroundings and very pleasant and helpful waiting staff. Not rushed and a really good atmosphere.

Very pleasant with good food and attentive service. My wife and I had the duck dinner and our friends had duck and a spicy dish.

Lovely breakfast, which we had celebrating my sons Birthday . Very pleasant and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again

Cod and chips with mashed tasteless. Waiting not to a high standard, interrupting conversations when serving. Liver and bacon dish good. Background music too loud

We were met with a smile and the staff were friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our order to be taken and the food was scrumptious especially the lamb we had for our main. The cosy setting was just right to celebrate my husbands birthday. Definitely recommend

We visited the Chequers at Cutnall Green today to celebrate a friends birthday. 5 in total. We were very pleased with the welcome and service on arrival. There is a very comprehensive menu along with an interesting special's board. The food was extremely good and well presented. We all had two courses plus liqueur coffees. We could not fault anything and would highly recommend that you try this venue.

Great food, friendly staff and very pleasant surroundings. I visit here regularly with both clients and also with my family. Excellent value. This visit was with my wife for our anniversary.

We have eaten dinner at The Chequers for many years - wonderful restaurant with a lovely ambience created by Roger and his team. We had noticed that they also serve breakfast so thought we would go along and check it out. It was excellent !!

Welcoming pub offering a good range of beers and wines. The menu was varied with specials board and explanations from our waitress. Excellent lunch , delicious food and friendly staff.

eaten here many times over the years, service excellent as usual, starters very good, main courses, a bit of a let down, tough and stringy meat, probably just a bad day. did have free sweet, nice gesture but rather pay and have a decent main course. We are not the type of people who complain, believing that the chef should be able to produce a quality meal. My pie of the day was stringy beef and dry. So the experience was not the greatest, although the service was friendly and competent. we will return, as everybody has an off day.

Beautiful restaurant, quirky old look inside with lovely rustic beams on show. Very clean eatery and wonderful food. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant, also good value for money. Enjoyed the visit that much I will be returning later in the year as I have decided to book my fathers birthday here!

We visited to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary the food was great the atmosphere good and the staff attentive. This was not our first visit and it will certainly not be out last, it is certainly worth the 45 minute drive. Thank you.

How to enjoy a Sunday morning? Eat breakfast at Chequers. Food was superb, lovely environment, staff helpful and friendly. Try the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

The food was very good. I would have liked more choice in the Gluten-free range ie French fries, puddings. The surroundings are p,Dasani - an enjoyable evening.

The food was of high quality and right size portions. Service was great. Only slight issue was that it took a while to get the bill. At least you are not rushed Highly Recommend

I met 2 ex work colleagues for a very enjoyable lunch. Service was excellent, staff were very pleasant and wanted to look after you without being 'over the top' and food was a good standard for what I would describe as 'top end' pub prices. Very nice 'old fashioned' pub in a small village. Very clean. I would definitely recommend!

Visit to celebrate husband's birthday. Meal was delicious. The young waitress was very attentive and helpful. The surprise "chocolate" treat made hubby's birthday.We will return!

Very nice surroundings with good service and quality food, only issue was I ordered the pie of the day because they told me what it was only to be told during the starter that they had ran out, changed to lamb which was very nice.

Great experience as always is. Food and service absolutely first class. Went for a lunchtime visit and had full menu and specials board, only improvement might have been a few cheaper lunchtime deals.
