Lovely service! Gorgeous food! A little slow, but understandable. :)
Everything was very good and the only slight negative was the cost of the food which expensive for what it was. That is not a criticism of the food just the cost. The highlight was the serving staff who were really excellent and are a big asset for the pub
Lovely Sunday lunch & friendly staff we will return next week
Good food, comfortable surroundings and excellent service, so all four of us had a great meal together.
A lovely roast dinner...served quickly...in a very friendly atmosphere. A great local pub.
Lovely atmosphere, very busy Sunday inside and out, but good food and value - thank you!
Very welcoming and friendly, good plentiful food, we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend.
Very enjoyable meal. Staff were friendly, food was served quickly and was really nice. We both had roast beef with good roast potatoes and plenty of veg, then bread and butter pudding for dessert. Reasonably priced. Would recommend.
Fabulous service and food, thank you would recommend to others
Richtiges Pup Feeling mit deftigem Essen, würde wieder kommen, allein schon wegen den einheimischen Hundebesitzern!]
Great food, one negative was the fact that we ordered a gluten free beer and received a gluten one which was disappointing.
Very polite young staff, well mannered, I requested drinks on arrival and a certain seat. It was all done no bother for them. They also made a special card for us. Very well done The Catherine Wheel.
Had lunch with my grandaughter . Service was good considering there was a coach party in that day . Staff were friendly and food was excellent .
Great service and good food. Pub could do with refurbing.
Lovely Cotswold pub, good food and polite friendly staff. We will be going back.
Great waitress who had constant attention to us as a foursome although very busy.
Lovely food and good service. We will definitely go again
Food was good, felt welcome, although we kept on getting forgotten about and had to approach the bar for service
Lovely tasty food. Good size portions. Excellent value. Staff friendly
Friendly staff lovely food beautiful setting would definitely recommend thankyou
Lovely generous meal- most amazing Eton mess-friendly staff - nice experience
Lovely food, lovely location. We'll definitely return here in the near future.
Food was lovely. Staff were great, very polite. The only issue we had was that our table was very close to the next table, which with covid, we thought there should have been more space between them. However, all other precautions were taken by the pub and couldn’t fault it other than that. Wouldn’t stop us necessarily returning in future.
Food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a very enjoyable evening
Pleasant meal in reasonable surroundings. Pleasant service by friendly staff. Slight disappointment that full menu was not available.
Limited menu no starters Staff polite but did not pay attention to the customers. Was not asked if we wanted desert
Lovely location in Bibury, however it is very busy so glad we booked and you may have to wait a while for food.
Great food, prompt service from great staff. Very filling meals
Great service and good food - was really good value for money Room could have been a bit warmer but it was a chilly day .
Popped in for dinner and a drink on a Thursday night. Lovely, well kept, pint of Doombar and my partner had a couple of glasses of an Ausi Sauv Blanc which she enjoyed. She also had the Veggie Lasagne, I the Hunters Chicken and we shared Olives and bread as a starter. Total cost was £50 (+10% tip) The menu was good, standard pub fare and the quantities substantial ... is that expensive in a small village that's on the major tourist through the Cotswolds? I think that's up to you to decide, in my opinion it's a bit high. The pub itself is externally a lovely old Cotswold building, inside it has been restored to create four rooms around a central bar, beams (some looking a bit fake) have been painted black, the walls white and the half-height panelling cotswold green. Space has been maximised, which in my view has resulted in a somewhat souless pub which is a great shame.
Friendly, welcoming, accommodating and attentive staff. Lovely fire in the bar. Nice table in window alcove for our meal but I’d like to choose you some new blinds to replace the current unattractive ones! Shame the fire wasn’t lit in the restaurant area. I had local trout & almonds - nicely cooked & well presented - capers were a bit overpowering for my taste. Two had pie & said tasty but a little dry. Generous portions. Would happily return & try different options from the menu.
Had a lovely Sunday roast! Staff friendly would deffo recomend 👍🙂
