The Bowery Bar & Restaurant

Very disappointed with the Bowery this week. Walked out before ordering any food as they did not offer their usual market menu and are now offering the same food for a lot more money. I won't be back. The place was very quiet so I don't think I'm alone in my opinion.

Food was gorgeous. Would recommend based on food. Service however was dreadful. Took two hours for a two course lunch, lost our pre order and we had to ask for our drinks as the waitress forgot.

They were short staffed when we went, I had to go to the bar to order drinks as we weren't asked by the waitress. 40 minutes went by before our order was taken. They redeemed themselves by dishing up some lovely food. But still had to go to the bar for a refill, not an ideal situation.

Had a great night at The Bowery, food was fantastic, steak done to perfection, compliments to the chef! Staff are all extremely nice and pleasant. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in gorgeous surroundings. Been a few times and will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Sticky toffee pudding to die for.

Lovely lunch. Definitely worth a visit. Nice relaxed atmosphere without loud music in the background. Value for money. Would visit again and would highly recommend.

I felt the menu choices weren't great but the food was absolutely lovely and had great service from the staff. Will definitely be back again.

Our meal was one of the best we've had in Glasgow and we've had a few. The waitresses were so helpful and pleasant. We ordered off the market menu and the choices and portion sizes were good for lunch and prices favourable. The location is very good, just opposite the side door of Primark on Queen Street so it doesn't interrupt your shopping trip wasting time looking for somewhere to eat. Will definitely return.

Second visit to this bar and we were not disppointed.Good service and great food.We had booked a table which was a good idea as there were 8 of us.Drinks service was a little slow but on a busy Saturday afternoon in town this is pretty normal so not a huge problem.Enjoyable afternoon/evening and will return soon to try something else of the great menu.

Not impressed by the new kitchen team. As a regular customer I think the quality of food has went downhill in the last few weeks. Might need to find another place to go for my Saturday lunch. 🙁

Food was good,atmosphere was good service was appalling.we had to go up and get drinks from the bar and no one came after sitting 20 minutes,then after another 10 minutes I had to go to bar and ask if someone would take our order for food.first time in the Bowers but we won't be back.so they just lost money in not having my company as a customer.

Great night out with the girls, really reasonable prices. Only small thing was not too keen on the house wine special, but then at £10 a bottle can't complain too much!

Booked table for lunch on Saturday with three friends , food was excellent and staff very friendly. Cannot fault it. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with nice surroundings. Market menu is great value, macaroni cheese very good, though not too impressed with the red house vino! Great venue to meet up with the girls.

Decent food in a good location. Rather busy with a couple of large noisy parties which spoiled the ambience a bit. Service was reasonable under the circumstances.

Food was average at best. We were first to be seated and there were several menu items they were out of already. The server was very gracious.

Good open space. Whilst not necessarily pure New York on the à la carte menu, there's a good choice for everyone. Good food, good friendly service.

Another good meal at The Bowery. Great staff, welcoming and attentive. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat in our favourite city. We'll be back, you can count on that.

Great food, very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly but not really attentive, we had to ask them for more drinks, teas/coffees etc. However they were very busy so put it down to that.

Great ambiance, good food, market menu is great value for money. The staff are always really nice and friendly. Overall great afternoon spent with the girls, would definitely recommend. Macaroni cheese and chips fab!

Kitchen closed at 9pm! Bar was quite quiet and lacked atmosphere. Nice and chilled vibe tho. Would go back but not for dinner maybe lunch!

Fantastic restaurant, great ambience and fabulous food, gluten free options were really lovely. Took my mum for her 70th and she had a lovely day.

Very good place to eat in the centre of Glasgow. The staff are very friendly and service is good. A change of menu would be good as getting board of same old stuff.
