Excellent food, service and lovely atmosphere in the pub as always.

We were seated very near to a noisy bar in a dark corner of the pub. Only 1 barman covering everything so service was slow. Good food although 1 of our party chose badly & didn't eat much of her food. The separate dining room looked nice & light but I expect on a quiet Wednesday lunch time they don't bother opening it. Overall I think this is a place to go to in the evening.

Attractive pub and busy with people enjoying the evening sunshine. Warm friendly welcome. The menu was not as aspiring as we have round on previous visits. Although nothing wrong with the food we were a little disappointed.

The breakfast was very good, however the waitress was clearly being asked to do too much with number of customers. Perhaps this was because it was at at peak period, but we had a long wait before she took our order

My partner, who is 8 months pregnant, was served quiche with raw egg. When we informed a staff member, they didn't seem to care much. They took the quiche away and asked what she'd like instead, but didn't apologize much. We were very disappointed. The waitress, who said she was new and in training, was the best staff member they had. Later that night, my partner was sick, which was not surprising after eating raw egg.

A busy day for the staff. They were one person short of beign able to provide a decent level of service. Empty plates left on the table for ages, we eventually cleared them to one side, and had to go to the bar get drinkls ordered. We opted against as desert because we feared such a long wait. The staff working were all very good so I guess the owners clearly had got the staffing numbers wrong.

Have been to the Bell Inn several times for Sunday lunch and food is always very good. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

This was not the usual pub dining experience as all the dishes were clearly cooked from scratch on site. The food was imaginative, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent too.

Consistently welcoming and professional staff front of house and top quality, freshly cooked, well presented and piping hot food from the kitchen. They go about their craft with well practiced efficiency at this lovely inn. It is a joy both to stay and and eat there.

Having booked a table for four online we were greeted and served by two young very pleasant staff and had a lovely lunchtime meal. A very nice atmosphere as more customers entered and the food was great.

Very warm welcome, once we were actually seen to. The staff were very pre-occupied and almost seemed as if they didn't see us standing at the bar. At one point, they walked from behind the bar even though we were stood there waiting - our plates and glasses were not cleared after lunch for a good hour and when we went in to pay, again the staff ignored we were there. Once acknowledged the staff were really lovely so it was a shame to have that negative associated. As a slight side, our carrots were raw and potatoes dry. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the beef roast - the gravy was particularly delicious!

First visit to the Bell Inn for Sunday lunch. Food was amazing. Our overall experience was excellent.

We went for a family members birthday. Lovely tasty food, served hot from a varied menu. Plus nice choice of desserts and beers.

Disappointing. The food was rather bland and overcooked and the waiting times were long. To be fair, the restaurant was busy and they were short staffed but we had booked in advance so expected good service.

Plated food not hot enough. Sea Bream dish rather sparse on vegetables. Would have liked a choice of custard or cream with puddings.Relaxing atmosphere though.
