The Bay and Bracket

We come here regularly as it’s near our office, and always have a good time. The food always comes out quickly and is reasonably priced (look out for offers and spin the wheel on their app). The staff are friendly and helpful.

Easy to book, friendly staff, clean toilets, good selection of food & drinks (inc. 2 for 1 cocktails - although a marketing gimmick as the cost of one is actually the price of two in other bars...£15-£17?!). Perhaps avoid the doughballs: you could crack a tooth/knock someone out - rock-solid! (Maybe that was just on the day we visited?)

Food was good we got the 5 small plates deal for £17. Good value. The plates were nice - riblets, calamari duo, chicken wings & shredded duck tacos. Only downside was the waiting times were atrocious for an empty restaurant- I had to go up to servers and prompt for the ETA of our food.

Service good but massive ques. Need to wait for drinks long time

A number of the orders were incorrect so resulted in food wastage, chips & peas were cold on the scampi dish and one of the drinks was flat and had to be replaced. Although good value for money this taints the experience. There were too few staff on duty resulting in long waiting times to order. There was only one person taking orders and another serving at the tables.

Table booked for 10 but only 8 seats were provided. Waited on average 25 mins to be served as only 3 staff behind the bar. It’s a Friday night, why are there only 3 behind the bar?!
