We were a party of six. We had just run in the Goodwood running festival. All we needed was a couple of beers and a good roast dinner and that was what we got. Perfect. We’ll be back next year!!
Meal overall good although one person felt the food was not really hot.
Excellent service, very friendly staff and great food! Would recommend.
excellent value for money friendly service and very good food
A proper local pub the main bar busy with drinkers and dogs ,the young staff very good and the food was excellent and very large portions, calf’s liver and bacon excellent
Nice to see it is still a proper pub but with excellent food as a bonus.
we are car people and it was full of other car people it was great. very busy busy if you wanted calm then it was not for you
We were there on a very busy Saturday (Goodwood Revival), so expected things to be hectic. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised! Despite the numbers of people in the garden, the service in the restaurant was good. On the whole we were happy with the food. I was slightly disappointed with the dressed crab. It came in a large crab shell, with some firm white meat, but there was a sloppy consistency to the rest, which seemed to indicate it had been "thinned down".
Very large family party there. Noise level fairly high but goes to show that they're family friendly. Food good. Been before. Will go again.
We ordered filet steak and were served either rib eye or sirloin. We told the server who said he’d tell the kitchen. Absolutely no response at all. Not the servers problem but come on chef kitchen & management how can you think you can get away with this?
Very good food indeed. Toilets need an update. Atmosphere friendly
One of our party was 80 years old. He only wanted soup. He said it was very good two others had only one coarse. Welsh Welsh rarebit which they said was great. Other had ham egg and ham bubble and squeak which he really enjoyed. I had whitebait starter then crispy beef salad a little to sweet but good. We were very satisfied.
Had a lovely Sunday roast (beef) a big portion indeed, very enjoyable.
What a lovely country pub on a sunny summers day
Both a very nice meal and a very good pint!
Excellent BBQ (tasty and great VfM), fabulous band and wonderful atmosphere after a day at Goodwood FOS. Thank you.
Sat outside in the sun. Landlord had reserved tables for us and put up a sun unbrella. Got drinks from bar and then landlord brought over menus and in our own time took our order. All arrived just as we had requested as we had to accommodate the impatience of a 5 and 7 Yr old. All delicious. Big bonus to have a big garden for the children to play in without having to worry about them. The landlord was excellent and could not have been more helpful. A really family friendly pub highly recommend it.
Food and service was very good food was great. Very quiet when we visited. Nice atmosphere, great location wonderful garden. Great location for walking, really friendly staff
Good food and beer in a relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly.
Good food, beer and service. Would highly recommend. Had a great time.
A very nice local pub, with a decent menu, within easy walking distance of the Tinwood Estate Vineyard.
Excellent service. A bit slow getting food out, but otherwise really nice. Would recommend and will definitely return soon. Thank you for a nice Saturday lunch.
Al ways excelllent!Great Food - Great atmosphere! We have been going to this delightful Restaurant/Pub for years and it never disappoints - I hope it never loses its standards !
Staff very friendly and only had to wait 10 mins for food roast dinner absolutely delicious and pudding excellent good value for money will definitely go again
Recommended as a good place to eat by Alice at Tinwood where we were staying, we found a nice atmosphere on arrival with a real fire in the bar. Service was great and the food delicious.
Unfortunately food was cold and meat was chewy, cost high as well at £15 per roast, not our best experience I am afraid. Service only fair
Nice pub and good food, very welcoming and a good range of local beers. Staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
Lovely pub in a great part of Sussex. Good menu with plenty to choose from. Food was very good with efficient service. Really enjoyed our first visit. Will definitely go again.
Lovely meal, pleasant setting. A good choice of starters and main courses.
Returned here for a second dinner as we are staying in the guest house 5 minutes away. It was my birthday so we had a great meal, plenty of choice.
I wanted to book a table for our family of 11 for a typical Sunday Lunch I was advised to go to Angelsea Arms. We couldn't have been more looked after for a group of 6 adults 5 small kids and a dog. The food was great.
Prompt and quality service, comfortable seating despite being crowded due to Goodwood races, varied menu with specials of the day available all reasonably priced, food tasty and much enjoyed.
Good food, selection of wines. Busy FoS day so service slow and not it’s usual quality. But walking distance from our accommodation so will visit again. Had a band playing which we could have done without after noise of FoS.
Friendly staff. Pub needs a bit of TLC as dining area very basic and not cosy. Whitebait starter was delicious and the steak was well cooked. Sadly the dressed crab had bits of shell and sinew in it. Also several beers were unavailable so the choice was very limited.
Very friendly country pub, extremely busy during Goodwood FOS but expected. Some of the bar b q items were overcooked, however the restaurant menu and food was very good.
Could do with money spent on interior.Food good. Staff run off their feet on a busy festival of speed weekend and football match on tv.
We had an excellent meal at The Anglesey Arms. The day was beautiful and we enjoyed eating lunch in the pub's lovely garden. Will certainly be going on a return trip!
Very relaxed pub, with some good food. Would really recommend the baked Camembert. Really polite and helpful staff, who went above and beyond expectations to make our evening really nice. Including arranging a lift for us back to the place we were staying at, when there were no taxis available.
The food was lovely, and the drink choice is good and service and staff are wonderful and welcoming - as always - will return again
It was a beautiful day so probably unexpectedly busy. However service was patchy, often left waiting as if forgotten. Weren't accepting card payment but not pre-warned although had our contact as had booked ahead. Luckily had enough cash. Sunday roast was nice, good portion of meat but distinct lack of vegetables. Puddings on the expensive side at £6.50. The 'ladies' was dated and room not clean. Only one toilet so a queue. Prefer other places
Excellent food lovely setting enjoyed the garden, very friendly staff. Would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely eat here again.
We had a gorgeous sharing starter board and I reckon they serve the best roast in the area (had quite a few), the service was friendly and efficient I would definitely recommend.
I brought some tired and hungry colleagues for supper who had just flown in from the States. We were looked after from the moment we walked through the door, with a suggestion we stay in the bar by the fire. The service was equally warm, the menu was great and our questions all answered cheerfully. Thank you so much for your warm welcome, flexibility re wine and delicious food. The perfect first night - will be tough to beat!
Great pub with a great team, even on a very busy day ... but it's the Sunday roasts that keep us coming back for more!
Excellent service. Food very good and varied menu.I would recommend you try for yourself. Good parking and very central.Easy and straight forward to book on line.
Lovely food. Friendly staff. Decor could do with a spruce up but the food was very tasty and well presented with a well thought out menu.
Friendly greeting, good service and great food - all reasonably priced. The menu was varied and imaginative and served hot. We will definitely go to The Anglessey Arms again
This is low on frills and posh presentation, but the food is of decent quality and the portions are very generous. The service is good.
Staff attentive and polite, food very good. Overall a very good experience particularly considering how busy it was due to the Goodwood Revival. Would recommend this pub.
