Thai Orchid - Salisbury

Met a friend for lunch. We enjoyed a pleasant meal in a friendly and quiet atmosphere.

Service good and starters excellent. My son loved his main course.

We arrived a little early for our 7.30 booking and tried to explain we had two friends meeting us; we were taken to a room upstairs, and when our friends arrived they were turned away as staff were busy clearing a large (pre theatre) table! They went to a local pub as they had not been told we had already arrived! We did enjoy some good food, however our mains were very very slow arriving as we had been put in the room upstairs and I think, forgotten! Our party, and another two were left with no service for about 45 minutes after finishing our starters! The staff, although polite and welcoming - spoke very little English so were not easy to communicate with! No complaints with the food, however I cannot recommend based on the service, and the lighting is also terrible - like a café!

A perfect place for a meal before the theatre at the Playhouse next door.

The food was tip top but the service was poor, the waitresses were rushed off their feet, too few doing too much

We haven't been here for a couple of years but I must say that it is even better than it used to be. The best Thai restaurant I have been to in this country.

Cosy and not too many covers. Love the serving dishes that really add to the visual enjoyment and anticipation of the food as it’s served to the table. Staff are very polite. Lots to choose from on the menu and we all very much enjoyed our meals.

Six of us enjoyed beautifully presented, mouthwatering food, served by lovely attentive staff. Large menu, so something for everyone. We will definitely be going back. Ideally situated for pre-show dinner at the Playhouse and City Hall.

Great food. Table layouts not good for uneven numbers. Haven't got a clue how to serve basic drinks e.g a "large g&t" came in a pint glass filled to the top with tonic! Order drinks carefully! Food excellent though.

Although living in the Salisbury area for over sixty years this was a first time visit to this restaurant. Went with friends, and what have I been missing. The whole experience was superb, food exceptional and the service from all staff outstanding I will be back.
