What a lovely restaurant! The food was great, warm atmosphere, staff was excellent👌 The owner came to us after our meal to ask if everything was ok and if we liked the food. Will most definately be going again!😊
Very nice Maroccan food. We had the Lamb Fillet Tangine. Finally a chef who knows how to prepare lamb as it should, very tasty. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are very fair. The place is located around 6 minutes from Tooting Broadway tube station, just outside the busy part of Mitcham road. One advice, skip the boaring piano music, adding some more suitable music will elevate the atmosphere. I can recommand a visit here!
Friendly restaurant with a manageable menu. Staff and service were very good and knowledgeable. Food was authentic and fresh. Clearly a popular restaurant. Will certainly be visiting again.
Excellent as usual. Lovely food beautifully cooked and well served at a reasonable price. The chef is welcoming and very professional. I have seen the kitchen and it is spotlessly clean. One of my favourite restaurants.
Fine presentation of starters. Exquisite lamb tagines (both fillet & slow cooked shank versions), the meat was very tender. Main also was kept wonderfully hot.
Great service and great food and good value. Cant fault it. The chef even came out and said hello to us which is always a nice touch. Would definitely visit again
Lovely staff and delicious food - we also enjoyed the wine. Top tips: chicken pastilla and lamb shank tagine, both of which were delicious. Very much recommended.
A very authentic Morrocan experience with cooking by an experienced Morrocan chef. The Lamb Shank or Duck Breast Tagines are wonderful. Service staff are all pleasant and friendly.
Lovely settings inside the restaurant. When we ordered, the food came very quickly and tasted amazing. We would definitely go back to the restaurant :)
Excellent as always. The lamb shank was delicious. Love the free tapas as well. Great service too. Wine was also very tasty for a decent price. Will be back again soon!
delightful staff; delicious tagines; interesting Moroccan wines; haloumi tart dispppointing and acoustics made the chatter of enjoyment quite harsh, but overall a great evening out.
We were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. The restaurant was nicely decorated and had a very relaxing ambience. Service was friendly and efficient, the food was wonderful and we really enjoyed our evening
Lovely restaurant, food very good Moroccan style, excellent ambience and the staff look after you very well definitely recommend this little gem of a restaurant
Excellent food, menu nicely balanced between offering plenty of variety while not too big. Service prompt and friendly. Simple but welcoming ambience. Prices sensible. Could do with a little more choice on the wine list perhaps
It was OK, but I was very underwhelmed as I was expecting an amazing meal after seeing it was rated in the top 10 restaurants in London! They hand you a trip advisor card at the end of your meal so I think this is why!
Great food and really good service, especially nice touch that the chef comes out to meet his diners. We enjoy bringing our friends to this restaurant!
Great ambience, excellent food and friendly service. Would definitely go again and recommend tone others. The head chef was very attentive and came and checked that our group were happy .
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Tooting. Beautiful food, amazing service, lovely atmosphere. Tangia is a fairly small restaurant but it's authentic and I would recommend to anyone. The chef and owner came out after we'd eaten and introduced himself, such a nice touch!
Excellent food served in sensible sized portions (stand outs: aubergine salad, lamb shank tagine, fish tagine). Very friendly service. Very good value for money in Happening Tooting.
Delicious food . Great customer service even the owner which is the chef came to us asking what we think about the food and service . Diffinetly will come back
We had a very pleasant evening here. The restaurant is comfortable, pretty and relaxed. Our orders were taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long for anything. We went on a Tuesday evening and while the place was half full, I like that I don't have to raise my voice when talking with friends. We enjoyed the food very much and we also met the owner and his wife - very nice people.
Very friendly staff who make a lot of effort. Lovely room with lots of interest and a good menu with lots of choice-the food is the bonus!
We dined here for the first time last Friday January 13th. The owner also the chef and all the staff were so accommodating and friendly and the overall service was excellent. Most of us ordered tagine (chicken, seafood, and land shank) for our mains and it was delicious and we were all happy however we were let down on the desserts and we were very disappointed with the mediterranean fruit with lemon sorbet containing 2 of each wafer thin slices of orange, kiwi and melon with sweet lemon sorbet in the middle and the frozen fruit of the forest on tulle basket both for £5.50.
Wonderful place with great food amazing experience with beautiful tastes and very nice atmosphere. Very welcoming staff and chef owner serving beautiful food. Will back there for sure thank you
The main aspect which made the evening was the owner (chef) made great effort to come out of the kitchen and made us feel very welcome. I had the duck which was nice, lovely salad along with a very good service. This is a hidden gem in Tooting. Meal for two with a very tasteful cocktail & a glass of wine less than £50....
This was my fifth visit to Tangia in Tooting, it never disappoints. A wonderful evening with top quality food and very cheerful service. Highly recommend!
The staff were very friendly and really good service. The food was excellent and very well priced. Had a great night, will defiantly go again.
Six of us went on a Saturday. Delicious food, fresh and delicately balanced flavours. Great reception and attentive service in a lovely atmosphere. I recommend it highly. Would go again.
Our evening condisted of Really great food, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and also the prices were very reasonable. Well worth the trip from down town......
Great experience. Food tasted lovely throughout the meal, and was well presented . Service was courteous and fast enough. Prices are average, but great quality/price.
Excelllent service. Excellent food. Excellent value. Chef/owner even came out and asked us if we had enjoyed meal. It was our friend's birthday and the staff surprised him with dessert and candle that we knew nothing about! Spot on!!
Lovely restaurant serving fresh food! It was our first time at taNgia and I think that detail was noted as the chef came out to us at the end of our meal to check if everything was ok and if we had been before. We were also given complimentary sweet treats! We ordered flat bread with hummus and vegetables to start, and a mixed grill for the main. The meats were so tasty and tender. I will definitely be going back!
I have been there previously and the food was excellent as usual. At the end of the meal the chef/owner came out to thank us and ask if everything was ok. However, there was a party of 11 of us and on this occasion the service was a little slow and the waitress was not as friendly as the staff have been in the past. Overall rating for food would be 10/10 but service 8/10 on this occasion
Probably the best food I've had in a London restaurant. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff too - definitely coming back for more and recommending it to other friends.
Great food, service & atmosphere - we really enjoyed it! The lamb fillet tagine was superb, as was the dessert special, chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. An asset to Tooting!
Wonderful food and service. Chicken pastilla starter was superb, as was the mixed grill and chicken tagine. Food was served hot and it was a family run restaurant with very helpful staff.
The food was good. Attentive to our needs; surprised the birthday boy and all of us at the meal with cake and various versions of happy birthday. Will recommend this highly.
TaNgia is a delightful restaurant, with a very attractive decor. On our arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady who made a mean cocktail! The food was absolutely delicious and we had the pleasure of meeting Losine who is the charming chef owner. A gem of a restaurant and one to which we will definitely return on future visits to London.
Fantastic restaurant! Enjoyed the experience and every bite! Service was great food was amazing and the restaurant was lovely. The owner/chef even came out to greet us after the meal and asked us about our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a tasty Moroccan meal in a brut idyl setting. Hats off to tangia!
Fantastic Night! The ambience is perfect for the occasion. Great food and great service. The chef is very nice and friendly. Definitely, I'll recommend this place.
Delicious, reasonably priced food and excellent service. Will definitely be going back. Gets busy on Fridays and Saturdays so make sure you reserve a table.
Food was absolutely lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The decor and atmosphere was pleasant despite facing out onto a busy road and our group had an excellent time. The chef and owner popped out to check that everything was okay which I thought was a lovely touch. Recommended.
Lovely evening in a welcoming traditional Moroccan restaurant. The food was very good and we will recommend to our friends. We will definitely return soon.
Saturday evening was our first visit to Tangia but it will definitely not be out last! All the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The owner (and chef) came out from the kitchen to meet us which was a lovely touch.
The food was very nice but the service was a bit slow. I would good again though and the value was excellent for what you get
The food is absolutely amazing . The customer service is impeccable . The staff are very friendly and welcoming . The design of the restaurant is very detailed and very good to look at . I throughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend this place if you're looking for an experience to Remember and amazing tasting food 10/10
Second time visiting tangia and I wasn't disappointed, the food is amazing. I recommend the lamb shank or the mixed fish tagine, both were great.
Food was okish. We ordered chicken tagine which was very very dry. The chicken leg was moist but the breast piece was dry. There wasn't much sayce either. Service was very good.
First time visiting Tangia. I went on recommendation of a friend and made a reservation for a Father's Day evening meal with family. All in all nice food and friendly service.
Great Dod - Excellent Service I tried this restaurant on recommendation. I was really impressed. The food was amazing and I would have to say the lamb tagine was the best I've ever had. The service also could not be faulted. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
