The atmosphere was magnificent, the staff were very friendly and the food was great
Best chicken and spinach i have ever had and a I am used to Bradford curries!
Very well looked after by Mr Mya. Excellent host. Good beer
We did enjoy our time, thank you everyone, the atmosphere was great
We were waiting for our meals for ages though we had a reservation. Noisy personal staff, very unpleasant experience
We had a great time. Lovely food. Very good service.
Highly recommend such good value for money. Would definitely go again when in London
The food was excellent. Service was good but felt a little bit rushed as the waiter brought the bill over as soon as the table was cleared.
Very enjoyable meal and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely go back again. I used my tastecard in there so managed to save on the bill.
I was at Strand Tandoori on Sunday evening with my family. We are all beginners at eating indian food. The waiter helped us to pick out a nice selection of dishes which was very much appreciated of us! The food was great, all plates and bowls were empty when we left. Excellent service, nice and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come again. Thank you for a nice evening
Nice meal, not outstanding but no complaints.. service a little slow if being ultra picky but staff friendly enough, would go again though if up town
Good food, super tiny place. Also they keep asking every 5 min if everything is ok and if done even if ur plate is full. Also if u want to finish a drink after u r done eating u cant cuz they keep looking at u to leave. No kidding. So eat quickly and go so they can have as many people i mean money as possible. Good food , 0 customer experience
Very good food and fair sized portions. Although the restaurant was not busy we felt that we were rushed. Staff were friendly enough. Unusual style of Indian music played. On the whole a good evening.
excellent service went before a theatre and thoroughly enjoyed the range of currys
excellent restaurant ideally located near to theatre for a quick and delicious meal!
Not the most celebrious looking establishments in the area, and we were met with a very strong odour of lemon cleaning fluid on entering. The waiter explained that he’d been cleaning, and was very polite and friendly. Food was ordered via walkie talkie, from the kitchen upstairs and sent down in a lift. It was very much your traditional Indian food, nothing fancy but very tasty.
Decent, non-pretentious, old fashioned curry house in the centre of town. Food was good and the service was as expected. Location is convenient and they are open for a pre-theatre meal.
Very much enjoyed this restaurant just off The Strand. The service was very efficient and the food was enjoyable at a reasonable price for this part of London.
Service was terrible, we asked for a jug of water 6 times before actually getting it, we ordered poppadums with chutneys and they took the chutneys away before we had finished with them and then gave them to another table straight from our table. The food tasted nice though. When we got the bill there was 10% service charge and when we paid the waiter/manager? asked if he could keep the £4 change! We will not visit again.
Very nice and quite place not my first visit and last food very good a same the service the staff are friendly and a quite place
One of our favourite restaurants in London. Our friend from Germany insists on visiting every time he visits. We advise asking the managerto recommend a dish.
The staff were courteous and helpful. Did not have to wait long for the food to arrive. This maybe because we were the first and only people in the restaurant at the time. Food was ok. Not the best I have ever tasted.
Miserable staff. No atmosphere. Food was ok, nothing special and 241 is very limited does not apply to rice or any side dishes. Service charge is added to bill but not itemised. Won't be returning.
Good standard 'high street' type Indian at very reasonable prices for central London. Mostly friendly service. Ground floor area tends to be rather cramped when full but there is a larger upstairs dining room that offers a quieter experience.
The Strand Tandoori is in great location, very close to Charing Cross Station. It isn't a posh gaff but the staff were very friendly and the food was good and very reasonably priced. We shall certainly be going back.
Great food friendly service used my tastecard with no problems. Clean and bright inside. A good welcome and a friendly come back again soon as a farewell .
The outside of the restaurant could do with a bit of a revamp and can be misleading. But once inside it's clean, the food is fantastic and really reasonably priced. Definitely a place to go to again
Avoid this place at all cost! Food: average & bad. Frozen meat, and appeared to be reheated not from fresh Price: £150 for 3 persons ( 3 starters and 4 mains and pampadoom) with 2 basic soda and 2 beers, wi Service: No customers service, no basic table manners, rude, unhelpful and condescending! And have the gut to charge for service charge! Environment: run down place, dirty and seem to attract strange customers (call girls and drug addicts)
Good traditional English Curry House, with good food, reasonably priced and a friendly service! Don't let the outside appearance (looks a bit tired) put you off!
This restaurant doesn't look much, but the food was delicious, and the service was good. Good value with the Taste Card too - we paid about £25 for 4 poppadums, 2 currys, 2 naans and a rice.
Food was great, but the staff were a bit forward - felt quite pressured into buying extra sides/drinks. Had some difficulty using my tastecard as the booking over the phone ended so abruptly - they pretty much hung up on me.
My wife and I were made to feel welcome and the food was excellent. We much enjoyed our visit to Strand Tandoori. We will recommend this lovely restaurant to our friends and expect to go back in the future. Thank you.
Real find, good food, reasonably priced (cheap even considering location) and close to Theatre land (we were at the Savoy for Funny Girl), friendly service and unhurried dining even though we were last to leave! We will return.
Manager was very welcoming and the service was good. Food was tasty and the cost pretty reasonable for London. Would go back and eat there again.
Popped in after visiting an exhibition at the National Gallery. Very nice food and good service. Price reasonable. Would go back if in the area.
Warm welcome, good service, and very tasty food. Will be returning. Good location for pre theatre meals when in a hurry. Booking was very easy.
We were very happy with our meal - the food was delicious. They also took into consideration that we had limited time as we were going to see a show. Our meal was also good value for money. Beware of wobbly toilet seat in ladies toilet.
As always, the food was very good. The interior of the restaurant needs some attention, it's looking very tired and, the Gents toilets are not very nice.
