Firm favourite amongst my friends- Chicken Schnitzel and banana beer!

Steins always has such Amazing food and service and I can never fault them

We visited just when Covid 19 was destroying social interaction so this would be our last night out for a while. Steins let us make the most of it and we hope it can weather the storm so we can go back again when everything settles down.

This visit was on the last evening before the country went into lockdown! Great service and excellent food as always. And a terrific spirit that reflected the mood of the moment. Will definitely be going again... but when?

I love the schnitzels and especially when they are half price on a Monday. The portions are massive, the staff and atmosphere are lovely, a great little german restaurant which is a 3 min walk from my house.

We got what we expected...sausage and mash. Slightly pricey for what you get. Although a 4 table was open for the whole time we visited (lunch) and although we asked for a river view, we were mot given that table beccause it could seat 4!

Food was good as always but the service was terrible. We had to call the waitress to order food and drinks. No one came to check if food was ok. No one came to remove plates after we finished the food after 30 mins I had to get up and go ask her to remove the plates and bring bill. I can understand of restaurant is busy but we where 1 of 3 tables. We wont be returning. Allan wilkinson 07951300827

They haven't quite got the lighting right, the low lights are ok, but it is too bright in there by far. I want music playing and there is none, yodelling would be ideal, or a mixture of yodelling and other german music, I want to feel like I'm somewhere Alpine. Otherwise wonderful as ever.

Food was lovely and good size portions, ood value so couldn't fault it. However their tables are too cramped and my friends and I were being constantly elbowed in the back by the people on the tables behind us. A lady had to even stand up on the bench to climb over the rest of her friends and us as it was easiest way to get out! Service was ok but waitress seemed a little standoffish. My rating of 4 was purely on food and 2 points deducted for the rest I mention.

Amazing time waiting for our LATE friends. However despite our friends being LATE the staff are amazing the beer is cold and delicious, and we only wait in anticipation for the food, as we can’t order right now cos our friends are LATE
