This was not my first visit and this is not my first review of Steam. In essence, a nice, spotlessly clean, uncrowded environment, good food and drink, with excellent service and all very reasonably priced. This place is a little gem. Enough said. I will be back again.

We just went for drinks and snacks - cocktail sausages and chips - but they were really good. Chips were hot when we got them, just the way they should be. Cocktail sausages were lovely.

Steam is a great informal bar with great homemade food with regular specials; the team there are very friendly and it nice to go to a privately owned bar rather than a chain. They are rare these days. Highly recommended

Good "traditional" sandwiches, nicely made and copious quantity. Little nosy, but overall good and definitely come again

Best place to go for a reasonable priced lunch , great food and service. Customers are actually made to feel welcome. Should be more places like this in the city

I love Steam Bar. Staff and management are super friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I have been going for years and the food is always excellent and well worth the money. I have celebrated big birthdays as well as small lunches with friends and the service, regardless of how big or small the event, is always exceptional.

Always excellent food, drinks and service at steam. If catching up with friends or socialising with colleagues I can't recommend highly enough.

We really like this place for cheerful, friendly service in a very pleasant environment, and a good quality lunch offering at an extremely reasonable price - especially for its location in central London. There’s a good choice of small plates, mains and sandwiches. It’s down a few flights of stairs, but most definitely worth the effort!

Clean and well organised- the menu was brief yet comprehensive, the waiters attentive and the drink selection good. I had a pleasant dining experience and will happily return to the restaurant in the near future.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Steve makes it worthwhile a visit as it feels like you are entering a friends house. Definitely one of my regulars.
