Rather tired decor and misleading notices of offers Pasta was rather insipid and presentation poor. Thought the prices were high. Over £75 for 2 people with just water and Coca Cola. Would not visit again.

Pizza wasn't properly cooked and the wife's pasta was not particularly inspiring but the starters and desserts were very good. The early bird menu does however offer real good value for money.

Lovely friendly welcme and attentive service throughout the meal. Food was good, honest Italian - perhaps just lacking a touch of finesse. Sadly no draught beer on the night.

best roast in Southport, the roasties were crisp, the veg not overcooked, the stuffing not dried out like most places and the Yorkshire puddings were fresh and not rubbery, all in all the best roast we have had out

Our first visit was absolutely amazing havent eaten great food for a while in southport the staff did everything possible to make our experience. I'd recommend spiga to anyone lovely atmosphere, and amazing food and the cheesecake was great too. Can't wait to come back only disappointment was that spiga have been taken off groupon but the deal we got was still excellent which the manager didn't have to do for us but did which we were greatful for!

Party of 6 ladies for birthday celebration weekend. Absolutely fantastic, amazing food and service couldn't fault a thing. Looking forward to next visit it was the icing on the cake. Thank you Joanne Ashton

We had a lovely lunch. Food and service were excellent. We had steak and lamb both cooked to perfection and the chips were fantastic, best I've had in years. Vegetables perfectly al dente as I like them with a good selection to accompany our meal. No room for dessert sadly, maybe next time.

Fair restaurant but not the best Italian I have had. I asked for a variation on the menu which was duly made for me but found the seafood pasta dish lacking in seasoning. Overall it was ok.

A very pleasant evening, very nice meal and attentive and hard working Staff. Excellent value for money, though the wine was small -understandable given the costs- and on the sharp side!!

Had an exceptional meal here. The service was excellent and the food was divine. Very clean establishment and a very welcoming atmosphere. If i were to ever visit Southport again I would definitly return.

Lovely staff, generous helpings of hot freshly prepared food and to top it off were able to use tastecard, will go again when I am in the area.

Service excellent value for money very good. I was disappointed to be given a special Groupon menu which indicated the standard al a carte menue was not available to Groupon customers

Amazing night with great people food was excellent service was really good just a amazing all round night. Can't wait to revisit this amazing restaurant.

A varied menu, well prepared meals, attentive staff, reasonable prices. A busy and bustling restaurant with high standards. Don't be deceived by the external appearance

The staff are very friendly, nice atmosphere. The service was good, the best thing Is the food. We got steak. Chips and veg , everything was fresh and hot.

Fantastic food, nice and hot. Very good service. Will be going again, lots of weekly affordable specials. They have got it right. Portions very good too.

Very badly treated by this restaurant even though we had booked as was not even offered a drink after nearly an hour of waiting to served let alone was able to order any food. Ended up leaving the restaurant as was just so disgusted at their poor level of service as two tables arrived after us and despite asking to order with staff those tables were served first. Shocking way to treat any customer and just so grateful to Bistro Bar Med who gave us a table despite not having booked their service was exceptional.

We had the £4 95 Sunday lunch with desert at £2 50. Excellent value. Very busy ,service slowed towards the end but nevertheless worth going

Quite basic, lovely staff, it's a restaurant that has no frills but manages to fulfill a good Sunday lunch experience.There prices are very cheap but good quality.
