Main course was expensive for the portion size but nice enough. Was asked to move to the bar before I had finished which ticked me off.
Food was wayy overpriced for what it was. We ordered the meatballs and the mushroom pasta and they both tasted bland and uninteresting, the meatballs were also tiny compared to what was shown in the restaurants pictures. I wouldn't be complaining if the food was cheap but for £18 - £20 a dish it was an absolute rip off, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else!
Lovely authentic Italian food. Really fresh and delicious. Great service too.
Went for my birthday, the whole experience was great. The food was outstanding, we had 4 dishes to share - Pesto gnocchi - Mount Etna - Bruschetta - Garlic mushrooms. Finished with a sharing board of cakes (which is massive) gorgeous. Service was flawless too. We will definitely be back.
Great tasting and interesting food. Fab atmosphere. Good value for money. Definitely going to go again.
Just off the main road this restaurant offers some very tasty dishes that are well worth the visit. Not a huge range but plenty of options for non meat eaters as well.
Excellent experience! Great food and drinks, will certainly come back.
Lovely food and setting, service was slow but would definitely go again
The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly, quick service, it was my friend’s birthday and they put a candle on the cake and sang happy birthday to her. Will defo go back.
Lovely spot for a date with incredible food. Will definitely be going back
Really great good and drinks. Didn't have to wait due to booking. Service was good but they were understaffed and I think a little frazzled because of it
Great stay, Lovely and welcoming staff and the food was to perfection
The service and food were both fantastic . Highly recommend
The restaurant had overbooked so when we arrived on time there was a large queue of people waiting who had also booked! The lady then told us our booking was for 9 when my email clearly said 8:30. We waited for 30 mins and then we were eventually seated. Food was fantastic couldn’t fault it and the service from this point on was good. Just a shame it wasn’t off to a good start
Great service, atmosphere and food - a hidden gem (that lots of people seem to know about 🤣) judging by the queue as we left
This little hideaway Sicilian in Manchester is fantastic. The Food was absolutely fabulous 😍 Very tasty, portion size was brilliant. Hats off to the chef/s! However the service on the day we visited was terrible. Only 2 FOH staff to serve a very packed little restaurant. I think both servers needed to be a little quicker In their delivery and to remember to serve drinks that customers had ordered; instead of making them, leaving them on the side for 20 minutes while then procrastinating on their mobiles. And then the customer having to walk up to the bar and collect their drinks order themselves. Hopefully this was just a 1 off! I will defiantly be visiting again though. Maybe on a different day.
Great food !hidden gem in NQ! will be back for sure
Amazing food and service. There were 2 kind ladies very welcoming and attentive. The place was not buys over lunch so they have been dedicated to few tables that I appreciated. We choice aperitivo siciliano to share as starter. Amazing Aperol spritz as well. We tried a artisan beer from Messina, Sicily called Epica, I love it. As main we had tagliatelle mushrooms and gnocchi siciliana. Don't forget the dessert because it is the most delicious thing I tried in years. I had the Setteveli cake and my parter a big coppa della casa. Gelato to die for. We booked another table for end of the month we want to take our friends there. Thank you
The arancini was amazing! Best I've ever tasted and the burrata pasta tasted super fresh. Portion sizes were also huge so left insanely full! Also had a great range of Cocktails. Only negative was that the tables were really really cramped
Hidden gem in the NQ! The place is small and cozy. Friendly staff very welcoming. Food is delicious and remembered me my holiday in Catania. Arancini wow like to be in the sunny island. We tried Norma with aubergines and pistachio. Then we had a couple of cocktails limoncello bramble with their homemade limoncello with lemons from Sicily and Sicilian Margarita with oranges. As mains we both had ravioli mine with swordfish, cappers from Pantelleria, olives in tomato sauce and my partner tried Montalbano with ricotta and pistachio. Then we shared a massive cup of gelato..really massive with cannolicchio on top. I never tried gelato so good in England. We had with the typical Sicilian brioche on the side, best choice ever. Thank you guys you changed our day and we will come back soon.
Great service & even better food. The Arancini was absolutely delicious.
Had a lovely time the food was amazing and the staff very helpful and couldn’t do enough to celebrate a birthday. Absolutely brilliant five stars
Soulless venue unfortunately. Okay food. Definitely not a taste of Italy.
Amazing night. Everything was perfect from service really attentive) to cocktails and food. I had a limoncello bramble (on of their signature), my partner had a Mojito. Then Aperitivo Siciliano as starter to share, very tasty and different. As mains I had burrata and my partner Trinacria. Delicious! We tried a couple of more cocktails and were amazing Aperol Spritz and Sex on the Sicilian Beach. I recommend Limoncello Bramble with their homemade limoncello and Trinacria but to tell the true every single plate was amazing
First time after following the restaurant on Twitter throughout lockdown. Loved it, food amazing and cannot recommend enough. Thankyou for the whole dining experience 🙏🏼
We went for the arancini and they were as good as the ones we'd enjoyed in sicily
First time visiting and we loved it! Everyone agreed that we will be definitely be returning! Great location and perfect vibe.
Amazing food and the service was great, staff were so friendly and inviting. Lovely for a date, or for family and friend gatherings. Loved it!
Had a really lovely time. The food was lovely and great quality and the service was great. Will be returning again just for the parmigiana which was delicious!
Really nice food (the little cannoli were truly delicious). Reasonable prices for Manchester NQ and the staff were really friendly. We will be back if we get the chance
Only an eccentric Mancunian would sit at an outside table in the rain under an umbrella better suited to the beaches of Hawaii but then the arancini are good and Ed’s martini, well you’d have to try it 😉
Excellent food with great choices for both vegetarian and vegan eaters. I enjoyed panelle palermitane (made from corn flour) with three toppings followed by polpettine della Nonna Maria - which were very tasty (based on aubergine) and accompanied by lovely bread. Great service from Edward and well priced. Limited outdoor seating but no wait for my booked table (due to the current restrictions).
Gorgeous restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere! Attentive Staff - Delicious Food! Wonderful!
Great food, very friendly staff and nice / safe little venue!!!
Amazing, staff are fantastic. Great atmosphere Highly recommend it to anyone who fancies trying Sicilian food
If you like antipasto then the “tagliere sunshine” is a great choice. A selection of salamis, cheeses, roasted veg, nuts and panelle (Sicilian chickpea fritters) served on a chopping board. Great to pick at, with your household, early evening with a large glass of wine and debate the latest on the pandemic if you’ve nothing better to talk about. 😱Tradition Sicilian neighbourhood bar serving authentic street food. Great addition to the NQ scene👌
Service very good, food good though not piping hot, personally felt it was overpriced for food, drink and environment.
Service by a young blonde lady was excellent Everything else went from bad to average 2 different starters and 2 mains , all tasted the same , food luke warm at best and vastly overpriced , Would not return
lovely food, great place and just round the corner - ideal
Great food and service.....had a lovely evening.!! Thank you !!
My wife and I both really enjoyed the food however, the atmosphere could be a lot better if it was made to be more of a restaurant than a bar. The food is the star of the show and emphasis should be put on that. There was a girl pouring water used for cleaning on the pavement with the door open which brought in an unpleasant smell of bleach into the restarurant whilst eating. The service was ok but could be more professional. I'd come back for the food, but there's room for improvement elsewhere. It has potential to be amazing.
We placed our order but the item I wanted for a starter wasn’t available. The waiter said we’d been given an old menu. I ordered the Italian potato cake for my main - this was meant to come with a ragu but there wasn’t any ragu. The cannoli was delicious
Always loathe writing about places I like in case they become too popular. A neighbourhood bar serving street food, as you would find on every street corner in Palermo but unique in Manchester. Essential that you understand the concept. It’s small cozy, food is authentic and first rate, cocktails well crafted, wine list small but made in Sicily mi piace 👌
Amazing food and cocktails and lovely staff. Will go again
Delicious food, amazing service and a really enjoyable evening! Thank you!
Amazing food. We had Arancino pistachio as starter and gnocchi Siciliana and Gnocchi Pesto as main. Fedora cake is delicious. Very welcoming staff, great service. We will come back soon
Really nice food great service. Could do with more choice of soft drinks. The ice cream was good but way too expensive at £8.50 for 2 scoops.
The food was delicious but the service wasn’t great and there is zero social distancing in place.
Really food, drinks, atmosphere and super friendly staff. Will visit again.
Arancini was great, the mains were good. Service we received was really slow and not attentive at all. Such a shame as we were so excited to try the place out...I think maybe we were just unlucky that day.
