Food: Amazing! Fresh, tasty and one of the best meals I have had in Edinburgh Service: Excellent! Very attentive even although it was incredibly busy

Great food and great service,the dips with the popadoms were fantastic.the king prawn curry was amazing and prawns were massive.very accommodating to my wife who is vegan.

We enjoyed our experience and dinner at the shezan. Very yummy food First class service In a nice setting. Would definitely return in the future.

Excellent meal at reasonable cost. Wide choice of menu's. Big portions. Wine list limited but good choice of wines also at reasonable prices. Location very good

The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. The food was very good and the staff were attentive and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant and will certainly be eating there again.

Excellent food and service with friendly, helpful staff. The younger generation, who took on the running of Shezan a couple of years ago have certainly made a big difference.

We went in on the very busy night (Saturday pre-theatre) by mistake but nonetheless we got seated very quickly. However due to its busy hour we were told the grill menu was closed and a waitress forgot our papadum and naan, but the Royal Biryani and the staff's (Ali) efficiency made up for it. Perfect for group bookings or casual dinner after work.

Shezan provided us with the best service and the most amazing food! Since we entered the restaurant till the time we left, the food was exquisite and the team there were attentive and helpful! They even bought out a cake for mine and my husbands anniversary which was delicious. The personal touches on the cake dishes and the personal touches in the host's service made the whole experience a pleasure! A must go!!

An absolute brilliant atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The food was out of this world and cook at it's finest. My partner and I left with full stomachs and big smiles

We visited Shezan on a cold and windy night, the welcome was warm and the restaurant was cozy, in spite of the huge glass windows. We had the assorted pakora and the chicken 'twa for a starter, I liked the fact that they didn't try to force the popadom on us. We followed with the chicken dansak and the prawn balti gosht, both were delicious. As a change we had a tandoori parathion which we loved. All in all a lovely meal. We will return

Food was lovely and the service was great. Booked table for 7pm and was out of there by 8:10pm very fast service even for a packed out Saturday night.

Excellent food as always, but the side order of spinach didn't arrive. The waiter did not seem altogether "present". A few extra words to make up the minimum.

Food was lovely. The garlic naan was huge!! the chicken pakora starter was delicious however it took 45 minutes for our mains to come they only brought 1 rice (we ordered 2). and the chicken in my butter chicken looked a bit pink (feel fine though) would eat here again but service need a to be a bit quicker.

Excellent food and pleasant staff. Rather a long wait between ordering and food arriving at the table. However it was a Saturday evening and all tables were occupied so there was pressure on the kitchen.

Go here instead of Kushi's! Had a superb meal here last night with my girlfriend and our parents. The food was excellent, the staff were helpful and attentive (but not intrusive) and the overall service was very good, especially considering it was a Saturday night. And pretty reasonably priced at £167 for 6 of us including popadom, starters, mains, breads, beers and wine. The only reason I haven't given a full 6/6 was that our waiter kept "encouraging" us to order more of everything than we needed and asked me about 5 times to post a review on Trip Advisor mentioning him by name. Think they must get a bonus for each customer that does so! But I'll definitely be going back.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it certainly won't be our last, fantastic chicken pakora starter followed by lovely lamb curry, with great service

The food was superb the staff 10 out of 10 great location for the theatre no 1 Indian in Edinburgh. Best pakora ever had same par as Kerala. ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍

Food was excellent and service was quick. Everyone was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The only thing i would say is that they were maybe a bit over attentive? As we were asked if we had everything we needed by three different servers in the span of 5 minutes. Not really a negative in the end though. Would definitely recommend. :)

It was an enjoyable evening, only thing that bothered me is their waiters need to be more knowledgeable and understand the dietary requirements needed for certain people, and could be a bit more charismatic.

The staff are very attentive and friendly, the food is great, as is the atmosphere, would definitely go back, one word of advice, make sure you arrive hungry!

A very pleasant evening in bright surroundings opposite the Playhouse. The staff were kind, polite, attentive and the food was all delicious - lots of vegetarian dishes.

Amazing restaurant! The best Indian food in town, service was excellent and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend it for a great meal when in Edinburgh.
