Great service. Very polite and welcoming. Good food (especially the naan bread) - Massive! And delicious). With excellent vegetarian options. Would recommend and intend to go again.
. Nice place to eat best food. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Really good and clean place, nice staff and always happy. The best food, every time fresh and good testing. Definitely will be nice to back to this restaurant
Lovely food. We were sat near the kitchen, I think, and our clothes stank of fat for the rest of the evening. Not much fun but it was a one-off1
Cracking service, brilliant food, can’t fault anything. Great atmosphere and all staf made an effort to make personal conversation. Would recommend to any size of group.
Food was mediocre, and lukewarm when arrived as service was very slow. Really disappointed after reading the reviews before we arrived. Have been to better Indian Restaurants.
Excellent food, friendly and efficient service. We had the pre-theatre menu which had limited choice but contained many favourite dishes and was great value too.
Excellent food and service - welcomed as soon as we arrived at the restaurant, and offered several seats to choose from - service was great from start to finish
service was fab as was the food, could be doing with more curry sauce along with dishes and the only other small thing was that the glass with the tap water that came smelled very detergenty. overall really good x
Loved it I have been to Shezan a few times now and have booked in another 2 visits. Staff and food are amazing cannot fault
Food was very nice & staff were very friendly. The restaurant was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the choice of music. Too full to fit in a dessert
Friendly staff nice curry worth a visit plenty variety kingfisher on draught huge Nan bread size of an elephants ear bright restaurant not like some that are dim
Absolutely love this place . Food is amazing. Staff are great. Definitely recommend. Only downside is ladies toilets are really small, my knees actually touched the door. But all in all great place which we visit every time in Edinburgh.
Great service and food at very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend
Great food , and a really good location close to the theatre ! great service would definitely recommend it for a tasty curry in Edinburgh!
Really tasty food, quick service- but without feeling rushed - and friendly staff. Went for a friends birthday and she had a great time. Will be back.
The starters were amazing. Would highly recommend the chicken pakora. Mains were really good too. Prices for a restaurant in Edinburgh were extremely reasonable. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Our meal was lovely and the service from all the staff was excellent. A special mention for our helpful waiter Raz, who looked after us really well.
The meal was delicious and the service excellent. Highly recommended. The restaurant is very nice and the atmosphere pleasant. All in all a great day.
Very good food and excellent service.Very good food and excellent service.Very good food and excellent service.Very good food and excellent service.Very good food and excellent service.
Food was excellent as always but our evening was spoilt a little by an over eager waiter who cleared away not only the dishes we were finished with but also the ones we weren’t finished with, leaving us feeling we were being rushed away even though we had only been in for forty minutes
Lovely restaurant. Delicious food and great waiting staff. Definitely recommend. I was there five years ago and it was as good as I remembered. 👌
The restaurant was very quite when we visited, the staff were very attentive sometimes over attentive. The food was good but not outstanding . Nothing to entice us back.
Really trying hard to be too helpful, which resulted by 5 different waiters asked the same questions?? If that makes sense. Food good but l've had better. Worth going, but will try a different restaurant next time we are in Edinburgh
Excellent food and great service, food was hot and served efficiently and cooked perfectly, the restaurant is clean and well laid out and has a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere
The best Indian I have been to superb service and excellent meal place really nice set out toilets excellent waiters can't give enough help thanks
Decent if a bit slow, I ended up leaving no tip as the waiter could not add to the card machine???? Food was well cooked and well presented although they couldn’t do lamb as one of the tandoor overs was broken
The food here is amazing, by far the best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh! Would definitely recommend to others. Been going to Shezan for 3 years and have never had a bad meal. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Excellent service throughout our meal. The food was delicious with a variety of choices on offer. The naan portion size was very generous. Will definitely return here.
Friendly staff, attentive without being overbearing, food was tasty and very nicely presented. We had a Chicken Ceylonese curry and a Chicken Tawa which we both thoroughly enjoyed, the Peshwari naan wasn’t the best we’ve had, but other plain nans going past looked fab! Wish we’d gone with a plain but all in all it was very nice
even although it was very quiet the meal was very slow however the meal when it came was nice and don't ask for wifi password its a secret ???
Fantastic meal, fantastic service. What a gem of a place. Booked a table here for a pre theatre meal and can only say I'm glad I did. It was so good we are already planning our return visit. I would gladly give Shezan a score of 10 if I could but they still get maximum points from my husband & I. Try it out! The food is excellent. You won't be disappointed.
2nd visit to Shezan. Service is very good and the food is lovely. Good choice and reasonable prices. Our nan wasn't as hot as we would like and when we told the staff it was replaced within a few mins, no bother at all. Would recommend and visit again.
My friends and I enjoyed superb food, diligently served in attractive surroundings. The restaurant was pleasantly busy (it was Saturday night) but we didn’t feel rushed.
Great, tasty food. Portions are just right. Service could have been slightly more attentive, but generally good. Would definitely go again. V handy for the theatre.
Great atmosphere and staff very friendly. Can't fault the food either which was adequate and tasty with a good selection to choose from. Plenty of wines available at reasonable prices.
Delicious meal, arrived early, no problem with table and as my partner is gluten free there is a great choice of food. Been before and will definitely be back.
We had another lovely visit to the Shezan on Easter Sunday - it never disappoints. Delicious food and very attentive staff. Can thoroughly recommend it.
Went to Shezan on a busy Saturday evening having booked a table for 2. Nice pakora to start followed by a prawn balti which was tasty without being hot and had loads of very good sized prawns. Other half had the king prawn ceylonese curry which was hotter and an interesting change from the usual curry house fare. A masala nan which was huge and nice but not much differently flavoured from an ordinary nan and some pilau rice followed. The portion of pilau rice was small but the size of the nan more than compensated for this. The waiters were whizzing about and our drinks order didn't go through, luckily our waiter realised this and sent it in again although we still needed to wait quite a while for this to arrive. We asked for tap water too and again it didn't appear till we asked again. The service at Shezan is unpredictable, decor basic but the food is good enough to make we want to go again.
A rainy miserable night transformed into culinary delight. Just all you could wish for at an Indian Restaurant. Great food ,friendly staff ,reasonable prices and great location
Great service, with all the staff being friendly and very attentive. The food was good with a focused menu. The naan breads were absolutely massive.
Terrific friendly customer service and attentive throughout. Sparkling clean restaurant. Beautifully balanced flavours in well presented dishes, Ceylonese curry absolutely delicious, light and crisp naans belying their large size. Have been several times and will do so again.
The restaurant is very nice, and the waiters were very friendly; All of them were ready to help. Although the food portions were a bit small, they were very tasty
Excellent food and service. Good variety of dishes avalable to suit all tastes. Very welcoming and attentive throughout. Slightly more expensive than others but excellent value.
Great food and great service, friendly helpful staff, made sure our food was ready quickly so we made the show that we were going to.
Very enjoyable, owner and staff made us feel at home and the food and ambience was excellent , I would highly recommend it to my friends or anyone visiting Edinburgh
Friendly reception. Efficient and pleasant staff. Delicious, tasty and hot food. Reasonably priced and well presented. Not so keen on the open plan layout as I still like the old style individual booth concept, but obviously this way gets more bums on seats.
Friendly staff, good menu with excellent quality food at an ok price which I would highly recommend. Kingfisher on draft, cobra in bottles Minimum words 25
Great food, perfect location and a really lovely and friendly waiter who despite how busy it was still managed to be a star. We’ll be back
nice place but have had better. food quite nice and service could be better
