Rio Brasil, on South Road in Sefton, has both an enviable location and an exceptional menu. Just moments walk from Waterloo station, it is easily accessible from Liverpool city centre, and on arrival, guests will be faced with a huge Brazilian feast of meats. Served in unimaginable quantity, and they just keep coming and coming until you are stuffed, which is how we would like pretty much all of our food to be served, if we’re honest.

Brazilian food is relatively new to the United Kingdom – and even newer to the Liverpool suburb of Sefton – but it is certainly making a few waves on these shores. At Rio Brasil on South Road, they bring you an unending supply of the selection of their 15 meat rotation, all the while accompanied by their salad bar, which is continuously stocked with fresh veggies, garlic bread, pasta, rice and soup. Wash it down with a few Caipirinhas and bottles of Brahma from the bar and you’ve got yourself a superb night out.
We can’t recommend any specific meat which you should try out – you can try all of them for yourself, as they just keep coming until you tell the waiters and waitresses to stop – but let us take you through just a few that are available at Rio Brasil on South Road in Sefton. Steaks, gammon and leg of lamb are there, of course, but we’d reserve special room for the linguinca, a Brazilian sausage and the franga com pimenta, chicken cooked with chillies. That’s only a small selection though, so make sure you head out to try the rest: after all, it’s only 20 minutes from central Liverpool.
