Had an excellent meal will definitely go back thank you
Very dissatisfied. Place was not heaving but dirty. Our table cloth was not changed, was stained and crumbs all over it. Tables next to us were the same. Slow service and little time for the staff to pay enough attention. Poppadoms were not fresh. I asked the waiter for some fresh ones. Food though faultless otherwise. Wasn’t at all what we expected and 100% will not return. Honestly down there with the worst I have been to
Good food, tasty and fresh. All of us enjoyed but a little bit waiting time for the food to be served which is normal during festive season.
It wasn't our first time in Rimjhim, we always had a good experience in the past, but on this occasion I can not say the same. The food wasn't as good as always, it was incredibly loud music, we could hardly speak, plus we felt very rushed throughout our time there. However, when it came to payment (and some of us had to leave sooner to catch the train), we waited for a very long time.. It wasn't our best experience there, I'm afraid.
Overall a very pleasant experience. Look forward to our next visit.
Great meal. Best curry for some time. First visit and will definitely be back.
Fantastic meal to celebrate my sons graduation Staff where lovely I would definitely go back it in Winchester again.
The food was good but the service was slow and unattentive. Had to push to get food ordered. Had to chase and wait well over an hour for it. Offered no drinks during the meal. Didn't clear our dishes but shoved the bill on there anyway.
Although the food was very good the service was terribly slow despite there being very few clients at the time.
Quiet on a Tuesday night, so no atmosphere. Given so few people service wasn’t to their normal standard i.e. plates not cleared from our table. Usually better
The food was amazing! And the staff were very friendly. Excellent experience.
Very enjoyable birthday treat for grandson. Lovely surprise for him was the dessert with a candle and music on the house!
We celebrated my son's 18th birthday at Rimjhim on Sunday the 26th May. We all had a very pleasant day and had a surprise from Rimjhim. Excellent customer service and great prices. Will always return there💝🌹🌹🌹
Great food and good service recommended to all for sure
Really great food good value we went with friends on a Saturday but was quite because of the weather but still nice.
was really slow to start then after complained starter came and quickly main course. food was excellent but need to be better with service
Overall a really good experience. The food was superb and the atmosphere was really good. Some hiccups with drinks orders and such but I think we had a new waiter, so not a massive issue.
Service was terrible, 45 minutes to take our order, but food was good. Lots of staff running around despite restaurant only 1/3 full, but felt very disorganised
The food was great, served in good time. The staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. Fghjj.dfggh.ffghh.ffghh.ddff dfvhhdf rfggg fffggh draft fffggh dfgggg.
Good service, yummy food, and they even boxed up my leftovers for me to take home. We went on a Friday at 7pm and it was quiet until about 8pm
Good food very pleasantly served. In fact waiter attention can be highly rated. Flavours wonderful! All too easy to overeat! Enjoy your meal there! Thanks, owner and staff.
We went for our Christmas do on 13th December, we have been before and it was good. This time it was pretty awful. The main problem was the man in charge who spent the evening barking instructions at us and utterly ruined the occasion. The young serving staff were very sweet, and the food was okay, not great, but at least the plates were warm, which was more than could be said of the atmosphere. There were three Christmas menus and despite us asking we couldn't pre-book, then when we got there we were told that we all had to pick the same menu, and we had to battle to get the cheaper option. It was bizarre. We constantly had to look for staff to get service. When the bill came we had to send it back 3 times to correct wrongly charged items. There was absolutely no Christmas atmosphere and it was so cold in there that we left before having our "free coffee". We will not go back.
We enjoyed the meal busy evening lots of people plenty of buzz, service a little slow but understandable would visit again for sure. See you again soon.
Really crap Table booked for 8.30. No food served by 10.00 We walked out at 10.00 Won’t go back there. No even an apology. Avoid this place.
I had high expectations as it was quoted as the best Indian restaurant in Winchester. The food was ok, but the service was poor. Staff very disinterested and ambaevolent to us. One of the waiters wasn’t even sure which beers they had on tap. Was expecting more for an evening out with friends but poor service and lack of atmosphere on a Friday evening leaves me disappointed.
It is always a lovely experience going to this restaurant and we are always made very welcome the food is well cooked and well served and delicious
Lovely meal! Fresh ingredients and spices. Generous portions. It was all good but the popadoms and garlic naan were the best I have had recently.
Being a Monday it was quite quiet, but none the less the service and food were of a high standard. Would recommend for an evening out.
Good food although we were accidentally overcharged but didn't realise until we left the restaurant. Would recommend them though especially with meerkat meals 2for1 deal!
This is easily the best indian restaurant in Hampshire. Everything is perfect, the decor is fantastic & modern, the staff are very welcoming & the quality of food is second to none. With a very extensive menu which includes water buffalo locally sourced, you will struggle to find a better place to taste authentic indian cuisine.
Food fine and nicely presented. Service lacking somewhat. Lack of attention especially after main meal. Sloppy clearing away of plates. Didn't come and clear spilled mess they made. This is not the sophisticated place I recall from earlier visits.
Lovely food and very friendly service. I would go everyday if I could! I have been going to the Rimjhim for years now and I’ve never had a bad experience.
Early Sunday evening and not very busy at all, visiting friends and so not a regular here. The food was top notch and we enjoyed a couple of hours socialising with friends from Winchester.
We were a largish party of 11 There was a little wait for our order to be taken. The food was excellent good flavours and arrived quite promptly Service also good
Great food - recommend all of the chefs specials. Particularly the Madu Murgh. Attentive staff - friendly Free parking nearby in Tower street car park after 6pm
A pleasant evening with friends. Excellent service and food. We had a good selection of food and everyone enjoyed their choices. We weren’t rushed so had the table for the evening.
Very good service, the restaurant is a little large and lacking the intimacy of some restaurants in Winchester but the quality of the food, warm welcome and excellent presentation more than make up fo fit. The Rimjhim is a firm favourite of ours.
Enjoyed the food but service was not so good. Had to wait to see menus then long wait for food to be delivered in a haphazard way.
Awful experience. No staff so we were waiting 35 minutes for drinks, 2 hours for our main meals to come out and along with staff not even listening to our concerns. Not going back in a hurry.
Simply the best Indian restaurant anywhere. The quality of the food and service is second to none.i can highly recommend it. The wine is reasonably priced too.
Good food, a large choice of dishes & friendly service. Went on a Saturday night & it was surprisingly quiet. It was good value for money.
Fabulous food and service. Would deffo return in the future.
It seemed very quiet for a Saturday night but the waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the food was good and very reasonably priced indeed. I have only given four stars as even though it wasn’t busy we were not once asked if we wanted more drinks despite there being enough staff there, so they lost money by that and we only ended up having one drink each. I know we could of asked ourselves for more but I really don’t think you should have to. Also I really hate it when people start cleaning up around you before you have finished, especially getting mops and buckets out. Would I go again when in Winchester? Probably........but there are soooooo many other places to try that looked like they were bustling and had a good atmosphere, but i’ll put it down to the fact it was quiet because Eurovision was on.
The meal was delicious hot and plentiful. The staff were attentive and polite. We have eaten here a few times always lovely food. Bill not to expensive either.
Fantastic food, which is why we always return for more.
Great food in a wonderful environment. Stress free dining, wonderful range of choices, including water buffalo. We'll be looking to book again in the near future.
The 4 of us had an excellent evening. The food was great, though there was a touch too much sauce compared with meat in most dishes.
Very good food and good service. The menu had a nice range of different dishes that offered a wide choice alongside the traditional. I would definitely recommend.
Delicious food, I highly recommend the vegetable sharing starter! Nice atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely evening out with friends or a loved one
A lovely Indian restaurant in the heart of Winchester offering a great ambience and service. Good menu variety with options for vegetarians. Big tables for groups.
