Lunch menu excellent value, good choice. Nice surroundings and staff very friendly and helpful. We have been several times and always found it very good value.

Generous portions. Starter was lovely but roast duck overcooked, dry, grey and cool.

Unfortunately a large party behind us were exceptionally loud at times. Not the fault of the restaurant and they were celebrating a birthday so no complaints.

Lovely dinner with friends. Staff very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent as always. One of our favourite Restaurants in Edinburgh.

Had a lovely time having dinner here on a quiet evening with my friend, the service was fast and friendly and food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back again.

Everything good on a busy Friday night. Food was lovely. The staff were nice. Only small things is the table was a bit small for our banquet.

Great afternoon with friends. Had the 3 course lunch menu. Fantastic value and great selection. We all enjoyed our lunch and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back soon. Ps you can also BYOB

Been going to the Rendezvous for many years and it never disappoints. We had the meal for 2 and it was excellent as was the service.

Great service, great food and lively atmosphere. Visited after the Scotland v Ireland rugby on Saturday evening. Given how busy the restaurant was the food and service were excellent.

Very good Chinese really liked the crispy aromatic duck. Efficient and friendly service. Very busy so best to book at weekends. Good value for money.

The Rendezvous has been an Edinburgh institution since the '50s. They do an excellent value lunch for about £9 - great choices and the food and service are excellent. Book now!

Great restaurant with fabulous food. Staff are very friendly although I would say not enough of them as had to chase to get attention a few times. But it was a Thursday evening during understandable. Can’t fault anything else tho. Definitely recommend the restaurant

Our first visit. The food was traditional, but very well presented, lots of it and very tasty. All of us enjoyed the banquet and would go back again. It was a bit crowded but it was a Saturday night!

It's a brilliant restaurant. Good value at lunchtime for the west end and the food is always excellent. Service was great too. I would highly recommend.

Simply put this restaurant has great tasting food at pretty reasonable prices right in the centre of Edinburgh. Normally go for the set banquet. Fab

Food was as always excellent, and friendly staff, value for money, but they seriously need to think about a repaint/refurbishment, looks dated and there are more modern alternatives now, to keep them competitive they need to up their game, we have dined there for years and nothing has changed to the customers environment.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant decor was basic, not too fancy but with a feeling that the quality of the food was the priority. A very enjoyable experience.

Staff are always friendly and attentive. Starters included Barbacued Spare Ribs, Prawn Toast and Shredded salt & pepper chicken . Then we had a half crispy Aromatic Duck followed by Crispy Chilli Beef, Lamb with ginger and spring onion and Cantonese style sweet & sour chicken. All dishes were served piping hot and were delicious. Dessert is my favourite course and consisted of “To Die For” Salted Caramel Profiteroles, and Toffee Apples with Ice Cream. All accompanied by a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s no wonder we are frequent visitors to this charming restaurant.

Great food and service as always but tables for two in very close proximity to next hence we had to endure a barrage of conversation coming from the neighbouring table incuding some unpalatable foul language. A better screen separator would solve.

What a nice Christmas lunch. Very good selection on the menu and well presented.

Food and service was pretty good but the squid was pretty awful! Not worth the extra £2 on festive menu as was tiny, watery, bland and not great. Enjoyed everything else though portions a bit small ! Waitresses lovely.

Another excellent meal (as always). Go for a banquet - saves arguments, plenty choice, make sure it includes shredded duck pancakes! 6 to 10 on a round table with a lazy Susan- what's not to like.

An Amazing Restaurant in Edinburgh. Food quality - Amazing as ever. Atmosphere- ambient and relaxing Timing of service - perfect, plenty time between meals, as they asked how long we wanted between courses, love that. Price - very reasonable. Staff - professional, courteous and happy. thank you for a lovely experience.

Had booked quite a while ago and table was by door. Very cold. Had difficulty getting it changed, eventually conceded. Food ok, usually much better.

The set menu has been changed for Christmas and I was disappointed in the choices.Too many spicy dishes for me. Not much interaction from staff members.

Quick service, friendly staff , not our first time here and it won't be our last. Delicious and child friendly set us up for a great night before the Christmas market.

My friend and I visited Rendezvous on Saturday. We ate from the festive lunch menu. Great menu. Good choice of starters and massive and fantastic service. We weren't rushed and ended up sitting for quite a while finishing of our bottle of wine.

Lovely meal,turkey soup was delicious. Lemon chicken yummy and enjoyed the banana fritter I could have done with a but more of the syrup sauce😄😄

This Chinese Restaurant is so good our group, of up to nine, keeps going back. If you try it I think you’ll like it too.

We chose from the set menu, the food was piping hot served on warm plates. We had prawn cocktail followed by lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken both tasty but I preferred the lemon chicken. We have booked for Christmas day.

Have been going to this restaurant for a few years and it never disappoints. Extensive food and drinks menu and not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend.

The food was excellent and so was the service. Altogether it was great value for money. We will definitely be going back there very soon
