Very good curry and good service would go back again
The staff were extremely friendly, the service was excellent and the food fantastic.
Like always a great place to get the best Indian
Excellent food but slow service. Would go again though as enjoyed
Food was exceptionally good as ever . Starters and mains were excellent. Desert was delicious. Great service as ever even on a busy Saturday night.
Lovely, amazing service and great food.... all round good experience 😬
Excellent food, convenient for staying in the city centre too
Fantastic food, top service. The best quality Indian food around.
Could not eat my main meal was far too hot even though the heat guide on the menu said one chilli. Waiter brought the wrong bottle of wine twice. Will not be going back
Food was lovely but the service was outstanding. Catered to as you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. Really enjoyed our evening and very happy stomachs.
Good food in a nice environment. Very unusual Biryani, cooked with a pastry lid. Very good.
Great food and very accommodating in menu amends. Service was attentive, but not overbearing.
Best curry in Birmingham! Value for money and lovely staff
Excellent food and very good service. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Food was lovely. Friendly staff. Amazing cocktails. Had a really lovely night.
The only restaurant I take guest when they visit Birmingham
Good service and food was very nice and tasty. Highly recommended.
Always lovely and welcoming. This time I asked for a particular dish to be mild and it was way to spicy, couldn’t eat it. Shame!
Rrally delicious fold, lovely decor and atmosphere and attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've been here a few times and love bringing new people along. Always highly recommended.
One of the best awarded restaurant in Bham. But I don’t believe that. No wonder the restaurant has great decor and service but the food served by them lacks taste. It was my second visit to this place and will never choose it again. Moreover, will not recommend this place to anybody
Wudnt go again, our table was in a separate room with a large booking it was like we were at a football match they were screaming shouting they were a family with young children moms dads and grandparents not one member of staff came over and apologised for the noise when you are paying more than the average for a curry you don’t expect to have to eat your meal without been able to hear what the people are saying around you, we ordered our drinks mine came wrong I ordered a gin and tonic it took another 15 minutes for my drink to come and that was after i at to ask twice where it was. One person ordered a biryani it came in a pastry like a pie it was very dry you normally get a sauce to go with it because we wasn’t in the main room more like a party room staff was looking after the large party and never came to us, after 10 minutes after our food arrived they brought out the sauce ( a bit late) the chicken was not very nice in the biryani brown! We just wanted to finish our food and get out due to the noise. When the bill arrived no mints or chocolates Jst the bill on a plate, we feel as we were put in the other room the level of service wasn’t very good at all our waiter didn’t understand English very well. We have Eaton in many nice Indian restaurants in Birmingham and feel this one for service was very poor.
The service was really good and the staff were very friendly, the food was really great too. Would've been nice to have a choice of soft drinks as well as their cocktails list, for those that don't drink alcohol, but maybe that was just their Valentine's menu
Lovely, friendly staff and greeting. Table was ready for us quickly. Food and drink served quickly and accurately. Fair price for everything. Wonderful food, beyond all expectations!
Food was nice, not fantastic compared to some other places in Birmingham. The restaurant itself is lovely inside however the service was also a little off. Had to wait 45minutes for our main course after our starters, and we were also given the wrong starter dish. Could have been a lot better especially for the price.
Nice food didn’t think of the set menu as there wasn’t a big selection
food was good but there was a big break between starters and main dishes, the service was good and polite. i recommend it if you like Indian food
Wonderful experience. Made to feel at ease as soon as we entered. Staff could not have been more attentive. Food great as it was but the service made our evening. So thank you.
First visit at this restaurant. Special 60th birthday celebration with family. Staff did not acknowledge this fact. Felt it was overpriced and not that friendly Food was good though.
Great place, food and service. Really enjoyed the style and cocktails. It was our anniversary and they made it very special. We will be back.
Food was of a high standard, drinks were really good, but the service was outstanding, great advice on dishes and additional flavours. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A big thank you to Sidiq, outstanding service
Have been there before, took my family there who enjoyed the food and service was great, staff are always nice here I would come again and recommend to anyone.
Service was slow, it was busy but we waited a long time between each course. The food was good and it had a great atmosphere.
Food is excellent and fast and staff is very friendly. The price is a bit higher but you’re paying for the lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.
My favourite Indian restaurant in Birmingham, probably the world! Lovely food, great service. Would recommend to anyone looking for a higher quality curry. Try the lamb rogan gosht - a standard dish but made to perfection.
We came last year and this restaurant was excellent. A year later and still superb. Never post reviews but this time I had too as it was amazing. We have booked to go back again tonight
The Food was ok/passable, the service was pretty fast (not many other tables were occupied), but for the price I've had much better. There wasn't much of an atmosphere and I feel like they kind of were going through the motions to get us in and out as quickly as possible even though, as I mentioned, the place was nearly empty and we weren't late for pir booking.
The food was over priced for what it was but tasty. However reason for the low score was quality of service. It was terrible. We couldn’t order any further food because of lack of attention of staff so we ran out of time. We had 1.5 hours and only managed to order a main! Also trying to get the bill, I tried to ask 2 people and they just ignored me and walked past. Terrible!! Needless to say I won’t be going back.
Another quality visit to Phuskar. Party of 12 well catered for. Well worth a visit if you are on Broad Street. Highly recommended for a great service.
Fabulous food lovely surroundings and helpful staff a lovely experience a little different and not to pricey I would recommend it for an authentic Indian exp with clasd
So very disappointed We visit from out of town and this is our 4th year returning to what was our favourite Indian Despite being able to book a table right up to 11pm....our sitting was 10.15....we were rushed to make a food decision, told we couldn’t order starters and was served up our bill as our main course plates were collected. There were other diners present, but not as busy as previous years. The food was also disappointing. We ordered mild, but deliciously spiced dishes, however these were actually very chilli hot taking away from our enjoyment some more. We only have one glass of wine, 2 mains a rice and a veg side and was quite disappointed at the bill size of nearly £90! Happy to pay if we were treated better, not rushed and was able to enjoy what is usually a great restaurant that we go out of our way to eat in. We’ll not be returning and will be seeking an alternative Indian for our annual visit. Such a shame
Overpriced, very poor quality of mains, subze meloni had no taste. Koftas were raw and dry. Even the plates were worn out and nothing great about the ambience or decor. Wouldn’t recommend at all if looking for an authentic punjabi taste and flavours.
Excellent cocktails and delicious food. We just had to remind our waiter that one dish hadn’t arrived . Popadoms not visible on the menu and we weren’t offered any.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We visit Pushkar every year when we are in Birmingham and never have a problem getting a table whether for four or ten people.
Food is great.. restaurant a bit bright, food makes up for it.. Staff very attentive but not over powering, highly recommend for either private couples dining or a group dinner..
Terrible service. Ordered starters, they never arrived. Long wait to order drinks, food was poor. Had to go to bar to ask for bill. Asha’s is way better food and service.
Have been here before was fabulous, but service and ambience not the same , starters and main course served at the same time .. they also had no recollection of our booking , bar staff playing darts behind bar .. perhaps our expectations from last time made us feel very disappointed about our experience this time,
Very expensive flat champagne in cocktail tasted much better food. Food is not as good as it says what a shame wouldn’t go back Service good.
Delicious food. Was busy but had lovely service from staff.
Bright and stylish space. Attentive service. Excellent starters - tender, delicious lamb chops; tasty and interesting mustard & coconut prawns. Mains generous and satisfactory. Wonderful garlic naan. Rather plain and disappointing pilau rice (would choose steamed rice next time). Service charge added to the bill (two diners). Overall - very nice, though pricey.
The food was brilliant as ever and the service impeccable. Difficult to fault the Pushkar experience although the music being played through the speakers when we first arrived in the restaurant on New Years Eve would have been more appropriate in a trendy clothes shop for teenagers - it should have been more restful and a few notches lower on the volume control. Apart from that a wonderful meal.
