Very top quality food & exceptional service. Fully recommended
Excellent Service. My Parents were visiting, and we weren't entirely sure of what each meal (of which there was a vast selection) was. These were explained to us upon request in a relaxed and informative manner. Staff were always at hand without being over bearing. The prices are very reasonable, and we were all so satisfied with our food it almost turned into a competition as to who had the best! I still maintain it was mine with the tempura prawns. They were colossal! Not my first time here, and certainly not the last. Couldn't improve on anything.
It was comfortable and there was good service. But, the main course was not as delicious as the starter. However, it was a nice experience.
It was great! The ambience, food and the service were all of the highest standard. The restaurant deservedly has received so many awards and is indeed highly recommended.
Food was consistently great as always and worth every penny ! Despite being very busy staff struck that balance of being very attentive yet not being too intrusive. Chicken was succulent and juicy and the amritsari fish was a winner all round!
I booked this restaurant for my 30th birthday. As I had a large party of 12, we had to start the meal early (17:30) in order for them to accommodate us, as well as paying a deposit. At no time were we told either at the time of booking or during two subsequent telephone calls before the event that we needed to be out by a certain time. Throughout the meal the service was rushed (poppadoms taken away before we'd even finished eating them) and worst of all, at 19.30 the waiter approached my mother (not even me, whose birthday it was and who had made the booking) and said we would need to vacate the table as the next party had arrived. We hadn't even finished our desserts (and we didn't order starters, so goodness know what would have happened if we had). As a result I didn't get time to thank my guests for coming and to announce some important news as we were basically being shooed out of the door before we'd even put our fork down. It ruined my celebration. The one saving grace was the food, which was very good, otherwise I would never go ever again. However, if the restaurant was on that tight a schedule, this should have been made clear to me at the time of booking or in the phone calls that followed. I will not be going there again for a long time, and certainly never again with a party of more than 4.
The best Indian in Birmingham, the service is 1st class nothing to much trouble. The staff are very knowledgable about the menu and I had a recommendation from the waiter which was superb. The best desserts I've experienced from an Indian restaurant.
It was an excellent experience and all the diners enjoyed the evening very much. I will definitely be booking this restaurant again for future events. Thank you
Overall a good restaurant although our expectations for the food were not met. We have had many Indian meals which were as good or better. Service was efficient especially as it was a Saturday night. I don't like restaurants that add on a service charge automatically - 12.5% in the case of Pushkar; preferring to tip depending on a number of factors.
The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable. The food weren't worth the price but would go again for the experience and atmosphere of the restaurant.
Great food. great atmosphere and great service, Try to get a table away from the bar, it gets a bit busy and very noisy. Otherwise a good dining experience
Listen to the oders properly but other than that food was amazing and great service. Setting was beautiful and the staff were delightful , the atmosphere was calming.
Food and service throughout the evening deserved 6 stars tonight . But at the end , just after paying our bill my friend's 4 year old son became very sick and they were waiting for emergency pick up to go home ASAP. But ...The waiter approached us and kindly requested we left the restaurant as another customer was waiting ! Whilst watching a sick child on my friend's lap awaiting a taxi. That was shocking to us after paying a £350 bill that we could not wait 10 min longer for a taxi . We wanted to talk to a manager but were too upset about the situation and quite frankly appalled. Kamil Skierski - Shrewsbury Because of that 2 stars down !
I went to Pushkar with my friend and we were so well looked after. The food was amazing and we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came as it is such good value! There is an excellent atmosphere...great for couples, friends or colleagues! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Great Venue, food and customer care. Waiters knew everything about our meals as did the bar staff when it came to the cocktails Easily accommodated our Vegan member as well
Great restaurant with very efficient service. food was outstanding and we will definitely eat at pushkar again in the future. Highly recommend this place if you want a meal that feels like a special occasion
Amazing food great service and a good atmosphere. The whole experience at pushkar is one to be enjoyed. Service on the drinks can be slow on Saturdays so make sure you queue them up
Crisp white table cloths, original boxed menus and just a lovely atmosphere. Add to that excellent food and service and you get a most enjoyable evening.
I had the chicken jalfrazie which wasn't to bad but my wife had the lamb rogan josh and it was just meat in a sauce there were no peppers in it she was very disappointed and when she approached the waiter about it he said that's the way it comes a starter each two curries one with rice nan to share and a round of drinks £78
I've had many many Indians and this was by far the best. The food was fantastic, I just wish I'd had room for more. Not only was the food exceptional, the service was too and our waiter was attentive without being imposing and our food was served quickly. The cocktails were very nice too. It was my friend's birthday and she was given a free dessert with happy birthday written in sauce on the plate which was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.
Superb food and first class service as ever. Thoroughly recommended.
Great food and service. Friendly atmosphere. The fish courses are excellent. Cocktails are some of the best in Brum. Keep up the good work Pushkar.
Amazing place ! Just booking my birthday visit ! Never had a better meal !
Excellent food and friendly helpful Staff. The restaurant had a modern white interior that looked contemporary and is situated on Broad Street right in the heart of the canal quarter right under the Jury's hotel, so you cannot and should not miss it ! I had the Tandoori crab cakes to start, that were probably the best I have ever had ! (and I have been to New England). The lamb main course just melted in the mouth. Highly recommended restaurant.
Lovely attentive staff and great food. Only minor point was the front door needs carefully managing on a very cold night to stop cold draughts for people sitting nearby as we were.
Superb evening had by our group, service and attention to detail was fantastic. food was amazing, one of our group said it was the best curry they had ever eaten. We would recommend Pushkar to anyone and will definitely go again
Just one word "excellent". The food was gorgeous, really tasty, the service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. I highly recomend this restaurant.
A Fabulous dining experience. We loved Puskha. Our evening started with cocktails - there is an extensive drinks menu with plenty of unique drinks as well as the classics. Our party of 6 had the kebab platter, the vegetarian platter, vermicelli Williams and tikka murgha to start - all beautifully presented and delicious. For main course we shared the duck, chicken jalfrezi, goa fish curry, dal Tarka, aubergine side dish, lamb curry and various breads and rice sides. Again, very well balanced, nicely spiced but not overly done with more delicious flavours. We enjoyed lassis and Indian desserts too. Highly recommended and we will be back ASAP!
This is the best Indian in England. I love this place and always go when in Birmingham. The place is really nice and friendly. Food is A**.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, really good service what more can you ask for . A wonderful evening spent on this cracking restaurant hope to be back next time in Birmingham!!
Food and the service was just fantastic, the service was and the cocktails list was plenty and great tasting, a must go place for fine dining
We had high expectations of the food and service, but both were not met. The service was patchy and the tables are so close together it doesn't feel like a high end Indian restaurant. The food was okay but £45 for a starter for 3 people felt over priced. We had to ask 4 different people for our bill and when it came it was then taken back to add a £20 service charge for a table of 4. £200 cost for a meal that would be half that at the majority of good Indian restaurants in Birmingham. Very disappointing!
Amazing restaurant, love the concept.Great food and amazing staff, we love coming here as often as we can. Love that the menu changes every month with new chefs and the food is always amazing.
Great food. Friendly staff. Pleased with additional birthday treats for friends celebrating. Only thing stopping a 6 was trying to get the bill & our coats promptly at the end of the meal.
Excellent from start to finish - Sadiq looked after us very well and starters, mains and desserts were very good. Will definitely be back !
Food was superb and nothing short of it. The service was fantastic too. The only thing, which really didn't allow me to be comfortable, was the music.... It was some techno beat on repeat and was extremely annoying. This was on a Saturday. Once again though, I must mention how authentic and excellent the food and ingredients were!
Lovely food but very slow service - we were a party of two. They got the bill right on the third time - added an extra bottle of wine we didn't have and 2 extra portions of popadoms. I was looking for somewhere for a much larger party - I'm afraid it won't be Pushkar's.
Lovely, bright restaurant interior, with stylish décor. Warm welcome from front of house, but then had to wait a long time before our orders were taken even though it wasn't very busy, and we weren't offered any poppadoms unlike the tables around us. However, the food and cocktails were delicious and well presented, so we would definitely return again.
Always superior food and brilliant service Something special about this lovely restaurant. We took our visiting friends from Oz and they loved it. Excellent as usual
We first went pushkars 2yrs ago unfortunately we had the kids with us so you know, and finally got the chance to return and it was everything we remembered 5star
Amazing restaurant. Decided to have an intimate date with my girlfriend after our holiday and Pushkar certainly delivered. It was her first time there and she loved it. Will definitely be taking her there again as I am a regular there.
Great food. Very attentive staff - perhaps just a little too attentive..perhaps they could just back off a little... so we could enjoy the ambience!
exceptional service and food! We were well looked after from start to finish and had a very enjoyable evening. I am now padding as the website is making me say more!
The food was excellent as is usual with a warm friendly service. Regularly travel from Derby to Birmingham to dine their. That should say enough!
As always the food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. I can't praise the staff highly enough for doing everything to make my friend's 30th a really memorable one. Highly recommended.
Great evening at Pushkar - as ever. Love the place, the ambience, the people. Everyone is so helpful and were very patient when my guest was 40 mins late for our table. And then there is the food. Just brilliant. The Pushkar Panorama starter is an experience on it's own - wow. I love their fish curries, which never disappoint and my guest who was in Birmingham for the first time said his chicken curry and potato side were the best he'd ever had. Neither of us were drinking as we were driving so we sampled the non-alcoholic cocktails - they are great and the same price as a beer.3 course meal - tea and coffee - six cocktails - £100. I'm happy.
Great food and service. Really enjoyed their vegan options and how plush the interior is. Lots of fellow Asians there. Always a good sign for an Indian restaurant. Expensive though. Good for a special occasion
Excellent food and friendly service. Unusually busy for a lunch time so single waiter was a little pushed. Service slower than normal but overall experience was very good
I booked the restaurant before our show for 730pm.. Wife said that we had to be somewhere by 730. saying this they had all of our food ready for us and we where on our way by 730. the food was great and we had a greta visit
Friendly helpful staff, willing to give menu suggestions. Menus in box are a little stained perhaps time for new ones. Food very good with something a little out of the ordinary.
