Very good service and meal, only drawback was the smell of food in our clothes when we left, but maybe normal for an Indian restaurant
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Pushkar and it's clearly a popular restaurant. The service was good and attentive, food was of a good standard, we would eat there again and am happy to recommend it. It was certainly a treat and a great place to go for a special occasion.
Excellent curry , definitely one of the best I've had in quite a while and we will certainly return when in the area again .
Fantastic Indian restaurant in the heart of Birmingham. Could not fault any of the dishes we ordered. All of it was made fresh and was worth the short wait. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend Pushkar to anyone visiting the city and would definitely revisit on our return to Birmingham.
Amazing food as usual and great cocktails. Will always recommend here for a nice curry and nice atmosphere. No problems with booking although we are very early as was going to concert.
We love Pushkars but were disappointed with our experience today. We booked lunch for four but when we arrived the lunch menu was unavailable (too near Christmas apparently but there were no groups in) so we had to have a la carte. Unsurprisingly the restaurant was almost empty and we were politely made to feel they wanted rid of us - asking if we wanted dessert before we finished our mains as the chefs wanted to go, turning the lights down and locking the front door, asking us to leave through the rear. We had arrived on time at 1.00 so did not expect to be rushed. The food was great but too expensive and much too rushed for a relaxing lunch with friends. Not what we expect from one of our favourite places!
Everything was amazing. The food was great and the hospitality was great. The only problem was that we had to wait 45 minutes for a booked table.
The service was attentive yet not intrusive, great choice of cocktails and really nice wine. The food was sensational and without doubt the best curry I've ever had. Slightly pricey but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing!! The curry was amazing and the biriyani was fantastic. Cocktails were delicious especially the martini expresso! Can't wait to return! Amazing and must!
Went here for my birthday. We were asked if it was a special occasion. At the end they brought out a piece of cake with a candle in. The food was perfect and good cocktails too. Great friendly service. Highly recommend.
Great evening out for dinner We had 1 sharing platter recommended by waiter which was excellent. The Salmon was very tender and fresh 3 biryani dishes full of flavour
Best punjabi food around in birmingham! Love the food and menu options, especially as I'm a vegetarian! Our go to place when shopping in birmingham.
The service was to perfection!!! Couldn't fault you guys at all we really enjoyed our Christmas Thank you so much for making it special. We'll be back very soon
The service was friendly and the food was nice. We asked for gluten free poppadoms and they gave us both kinds without warning so ended up eating gluten when I had specifically said I am celiac. The food was good but not outstanding. I would recommend it as it has a great atmosphere. It gets very busy so recommend booking
An absolutely lovely restaurant, with great decor and really nicely laid out. Staff are really welcoming, service is attentive but not intrusive. The food is wonderful, beautifully presented, with really subtle flavours. The starter menu, in particular, is an absolute delight. We will be returning!
The restaurant was beautiful... and the food was delicious. Portion sizes of food were great. Will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes a good indian
Lovely food, professional team and a warm atmosphere.. always busy but still personal with a food taste that continues to excite...A happy customer that keeps coming back.
The food was great and the service was excellent. We were shown to our table immediately upon arrival and the waiting staff were on hand whenever they were needed. Would heartily recommended Pushkars for a good curry.
Lovely food, great service, genuinely nice people run this place. Attention to detail, clean and well maintained, would definitely recommend for any event or celebration.
Attentive staff on arrival: lost its shine by end of evening when they were more interested in setting tables for next batch. Food was far too salty and naan breads were dry and burnt. Prices were double what I normally pay: quality was half what I normally expect. Evening ended with a pair of rowdy welshman on another table shouting so loudly my table could hardly hear. Place was recommended: highly disappointed. Won't be going back
Excellent restaurant fantastic setting makes you feel special and the food was out of this world
excellent food and service , staff pleasant nice welcome greeting , atmosphere good water cost v pricy did not get the option for tap or bottled
Extremely nice one of the best Indians I have eaten, very polite and quick service for our group of 12. I would highly recommend. Thanks
Excellent meal and service was outstanding, nice staff and great food. I have been many times previously and always great experience!! Will be back for sure,
Everything was fine. We were running 20 minutes late and I called and they said "no problem". Food was great. We had a 4 and 7 year old with us and they accommodated them with non-spicy chicken and rice. The adults enjoyed a full 3 course meal. There was pleanty of options and they even "down graded" the spicyness of my meal to suit. Staff were really helpful. I would say Probably the best Asian restaurant in Birmingham. I would throughly recommend it. Not cheap but you get what you pay for!
Nice selection of food. Their service is always polite and professional. Have dined here before and would dine here again in the future. Had a lovely time
The food and service was very good. We had dinner on Christas Eve (25th). We came over from the Netherlands for a brief stay for Christmas. We made a reservation for 7 :00 pm. We didn't know that the restaurant was open untill 9:00. So we had to hurry up. That was a pity, because we had the feeling that we had to rush and you don't want to have that feeling when your dining. Especially when your out for a brief vacation.
We went here for the first time last night to celebrate a friends birthday. We ordered poppadoms for four people and received a basket containing 6 quarters of poppadoms between us. The starter platter we had was great. The main courses were mediocre. The welcome and service was not good. Not one member of staff said goodbye as we left. We had just spent £200 there. I don't think we'll be going there again in a hurry. I had made the booking and I felt bad for our friends that it was not a good experience for such a lot of money.
very attentive staff, without being pushy - much appreciated. Delicious Indian food - dhal to die for! Would have liked one more gulab jamun for my dessert, but maybe two was better for my waistline
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The servers were really attentive, and I cannot wait to go back soon- really worth the hype!
The service was very polite and extremely fast. The food was brilliant and the décor is classy. We will definitely be dining here again! :)
If this visit had been our first visit it would have scored higher. The food and service were good, however we have had better from Pushkar.
Food not quite as good as previous visit but staff up to their usual high standards. Setting is beautiful and attention to detail just right.
The food is absolutely delicious and the restaurant surroundings are elegant and comfortable. Service was super speedy too. Can't wait to return!! Would recommend Pushkar to anyone.
Excellent food. Very tasty. Good atmosphere and very pleasant staff who were very attentively Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to eat a curry in Birmingham. Great location too and we will be going back.
Although the restaurant was reasonably busy it took a long tome me for them to come and take our meal order and we had to tell then we were ready to order otherwise it would have been a top score.
Great service end to end. Authentic food. We had a family of four for dinner today and found it to be a good dining experience.
Great food, great service. Perfect as usual. I go to Pushkars as often as I can. Best Indian food in England! It's nice to get a warm greeting as well.
What can I say but wow!! Fantastic as always...the food...the service...the hospitality...love it! Rai is the best host, THE best cocktails in Birmingham and everything else
The service at the restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of traditional and more modern interpretations of classic dishes. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, good service. Took a client to lunch, location was good, parking just five minutes walk away. Traditional Indian food dine exceptionally well. You won't be disappointed.
My wife and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Pushkar which we had previously visited. This was a new experience for our children who all enjoyed the lovely food and great service.
We have been coming to Pushkar for years and love the decor and ambience. Waiter was very polite and happily took photos of us. Food was brought to us quickly and was delicious. Prices are on par for the level.
The food was amazing - it took an hour before we got the mains but we weren't in a rush so didn't mind as much
The restaurant offers fantastic food and service. The staff are great and remembered us. Woul definitely recommend it to all our friends. Will go back very soon.
Friendly and good service. Quality food with plenty of choice and the cocktail menu is also extensive. Highly recommended. Booked table online which was simple.
Excellent establishment , fantastic food, , exceptional service where our waiter for the night sadiq can remember all the drinks and food we ordered without a notebook or tablet .Sadiq also explained what was in the dishes and what to expect in terms of spice .It is expensive compared to other establishments in this range of food but it was worth it and we wouldn't hestitate to go back
Although lunch time went off the main menu which was interesting and varied. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Price was reasonable considering location and standard of the restaurant.
Looked on Internet for fine Indian dining in city of Birmingham. Let me say that they were not wrong. This was the best Indian food I have tasted, My wife had a Dildar Salmon and I went Chicken Jalfrazi both were sublime the spice and the presentation were perfect. The service was excellent very helpful with the menu and suggestions for accompaniments. Pushkar will be our go too destination for next visit to Birmingham
It was a really good meal and service was excellent. good value for money and friendly staff. If you come to Birmingham I would recommend
