Great food and service - the ability to ask for different levels of "spice" and they deliver makes this a standout place. It never disappoints.

Appetiser dishes are very good and sophisticated. Mains are moderate. Services are relatively well enough. Prices were reasonable, generally speaking good restaurant very close to the centre of the city.

Excellent food and attentive service. The food was authentic and tasty. We had good advice about what and how much to order. The overall experience was excellent making a great evening out.

The food and service is impeccable! We continue to visit them every time we come up and see our daughter at Birmingham University and we have never been disappointed.

Big busy city restaurant. Tables for two have one diner facing the wall. A big wall mirror would add to the experience. Good presentation. Largely fresh ingredients. Haphazard but polite service....papadums came after the starter. Prawns a bit poppy! Overall okay but not worth travelling a distance to eat here

Certainly the best restaurant in Birmingham, food is very nice and does brilliant cocktails. The bill was quite expensive however the food was worth it.

The service here is amazing and the highlight of the whole restaurant. The manager, Rocky, is especially attentive and friendly. It speaks for itself that every single night without fail this restaurant is busy. The food was exquisite and impeccably presented. My wife and I especially enjoyed the meat platter starter and my chocolate brownie dessert was, without question, the best brownie I've ever had. My wife has found a new favourite dessert in gulab jamun. We will definitely be returning for more!

Second time visiting this restaurant and it is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and happy to help with suggestions on the menu. As there were 8 of us, we were sat in the semi-private room which was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Restaurant beautifully decorated, majority of staff excellent. Meal tasty although popadom portions small for individual cost of £3.50, received 2 quarter pieces each, small portion of relishes. Enjoyable main.

The food was really good but didn't have the dessert we wanted. Asked for one dish to be extra hot but it was very mild.

The service was excellent from start to finish of the meal- very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Food was exceptional, good selection and something for everyone.

The food was excellent, the overall ambience was great. Not very happy though with the 12% tip which was automatically added to our bill. We always tip but I like it to be my choice and not forced upon me. this will probably put us off returning.

As always a fabulous curry in lovely surroundings. Service polite and efficient and the food always tastes amazing with real depth of flavours. Only downside it's food tends to come out a little too quickly - sometimes need more breathing space between courses. Highly recommended though.

Service excellent, food good but there is better and more authentic Indian available in Birmingham. Overall experience spoiled by a feeling of being rushed in and out. Within 45 minutes we had starters and the mains had just been served. We barely had time to have drinks.

Nice setting and very good food but quite expensive and the £48 added surcharge came as a bit of a surprise as did the charge for water.

Excellent Service. My Parents were visiting, and we weren't entirely sure of what each meal (of which there was a vast selection) was. These were explained to us upon request in a relaxed and informative manner. Staff were always at hand without being over bearing. The prices are very reasonable, and we were all so satisfied with our food it almost turned into a competition as to who had the best! I still maintain it was mine with the tempura prawns. They were colossal! Not my first time here, and certainly not the last. Couldn't improve on anything.

The whole experience was disappointing, it took over half an hour to get one drink the food was sub standard. i would not go again.

Food and service throughout the evening deserved 6 stars tonight . But at the end , just after paying our bill my friend's 4 year old son became very sick and they were waiting for emergency pick up to go home ASAP. But ...The waiter approached us and kindly requested we left the restaurant as another customer was waiting ! Whilst watching a sick child on my friend's lap awaiting a taxi. That was shocking to us after paying a £350 bill that we could not wait 10 min longer for a taxi . We wanted to talk to a manager but were too upset about the situation and quite frankly appalled. Listen to the oders properly but other than that food was amazing and great service. Setting was beautiful and the staff were delightful , the atmosphere was calming.

I booked this restaurant for my 30th birthday. As I had a large party of 12, we had to start the meal early (17:30) in order for them to accommodate us, as well as paying a deposit. At no time were we told either at the time of booking or during two subsequent telephone calls before the event that we needed to be out by a certain time. Throughout the meal the service was rushed (poppadoms taken away before we'd even finished eating them) and worst of all, at 19.30 the waiter approached my mother (not even me, whose birthday it was and who had made the booking) and said we would need to vacate the table as the next party had arrived. We hadn't even finished our desserts (and we didn't order starters, so goodness know what would have happened if we had). As a result I didn't get time to thank my guests for coming and to announce some important news as we were basically being shooed out of the door before we'd even put our fork down. It ruined my celebration. The one saving grace was the food, which was very good, otherwise I would never go ever again. However, if the restaurant was on that tight a schedule, this should have been made clear to me at the time of booking or in the phone calls that followed. I will not be going there again for a long time, and certainly never again with a party of more than 4.

I went to Pushkar with my friend and we were so well looked after. The food was amazing and we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came as it is such good value! There is an excellent atmosphere...great for couples, friends or colleagues! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Overall a good restaurant although our expectations for the food were not met. We have had many Indian meals which were as good or better. Service was efficient especially as it was a Saturday night. I don't like restaurants that add on a service charge automatically - 12.5% in the case of Pushkar; preferring to tip depending on a number of factors.

Food was consistently great as always and worth every penny ! Despite being very busy staff struck that balance of being very attentive yet not being too intrusive. Chicken was succulent and juicy and the amritsari fish was a winner all round!

The best Indian in Birmingham, the service is 1st class nothing to much trouble. The staff are very knowledgable about the menu and I had a recommendation from the waiter which was superb. The best desserts I've experienced from an Indian restaurant.

Superb evening had by our group, service and attention to detail was fantastic. food was amazing, one of our group said it was the best curry they had ever eaten. We would recommend Pushkar to anyone and will definitely go again

A Fabulous dining experience. We loved Puskha. Our evening started with cocktails - there is an extensive drinks menu with plenty of unique drinks as well as the classics. Our party of 6 had the kebab platter, the vegetarian platter, vermicelli Williams and tikka murgha to start - all beautifully presented and delicious. For main course we shared the duck, chicken jalfrezi, goa fish curry, dal Tarka, aubergine side dish, lamb curry and various breads and rice sides. Again, very well balanced, nicely spiced but not overly done with more delicious flavours. We enjoyed lassis and Indian desserts too. Highly recommended and we will be back ASAP!

Great food and service. Friendly atmosphere. The fish courses are excellent. Cocktails are some of the best in Brum. Keep up the good work Pushkar.

Crisp white table cloths, original boxed menus and just a lovely atmosphere. Add to that excellent food and service and you get a most enjoyable evening.
