Great meal and service and every enjoyed there food before the family headed to panto! Oh yes we did Will definitely be back when we are next in Stoke.
This was our first visit and we will definitely return. The pre theatre meal was really suitable - choice, quality and service were very good. Opening at 5,30pm is ideal - it gave us chance to have a leisurely meal before going on to the theatre. 6pm bookings are often rushed.
The main courses and deserts were very good ! The Calamari was below par. The fillet steak with Gorgonzola was to die for, the Carbonara was good but I have tasted better. The deserts and coffee completed a great dining experience.
We had the Spiedo di Manzo and the medium rare steak varied somewhere between rare and well done and was a bit cold, otherwise OK. Chips were to die for!!
excellent food served to us once again, wonderfully polite and efficient staff, excellent value for money....... thank you Portofino for a lovely lunch for our Director's leaving meal
Food was nice but restaurant needs a bit of TLC! Nothing more to be said so unsure why I need to use a minium of 25 words!
Been a while since last visit as we moved out the area. The food didn't disappoint the lamb chops and mash were a treat and the sample of the cod dish I had was also tasty.
Service good, food poor I had lasagne it was just a pile of pasta sheets floating in tomato sauce. No taste and hardly any meat.
We had a fabulous lunch, best succulent beef served on a hanging 'sword', fab presentation, homemade tiramisu, service excellent and atmosphere great, we will return soon.
Have been to this restaurant one a couple of occasions but this time the service was not as friendly as we had received before. On entering the restaurant we were only offered the theater menu as they seem to think we were in a rush. on asking for the main menu we were told it would take a long time to cook a steak ? When we were asked what we would like to drink we asked for two bottles of perroni we were told they didn't have larger. So we ordered a bottle of wine oly to watch them serve perroni the rest of the evening. Not impressed with the service or the meals will be trying somewhere else on our next visit to Stoke.
Food choice and presentation excellent. The service is prompt and very attentive without being overbearing. We have used the restaurant as pre- theatre dinner a number of times and we have never been disappointed. We had the house red which was a good choice for an easy drink with the food. I can highly recommend the Pollo Stroganoff.
