Great Italian nestled into a cozy street in Shoreditch. Small tapas based plates. Highly recommend the ragu
Great place, food nice and decent wines . Home vibe I will definitely be back
Great service and good location, food was delicious but small portions
Great food and service! Reasonably priced, would definitely go again!
Great food and lovely staff. We’ll be back again soon
Great food and service as always, very dependable place to dine at.
Fantastic food, brilliant service. Great atmosphere and really delicious food.
We arrived early but that did not seem a problem to the happy staff. As always, the food was very varied and delicious.
Excellent food and ambience, impressed they stay open this late, ideal for post theatre diners
Amazing food and service. the atmosphere was perfect too. Went for a romantic dinner. Would visit again.
Amazing food, the best Zucchini fries ever! Wonderful relaxed atmosphere.
Delicious dishes and fabulous ambience. The staff was friendly and service was good. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
Delicious food and excellent service in a really lovely setting
I enjoyed my visit and the staff were polite. Food came at good times. I mentioned in my booking however, that it was a birthday celebration, so would have been nice if they actually did something for it. Even if it was to ut a candle in the dessert that we ordered. Overall a nice experience.
Very good food - if you get it! Top marks for everything we ate. Really stellar and a good price. Service, though friendly, was totally disorganised and not fit for purpose. 1/4 of our drinks orders were wrong. We waited 25 minutes with empty plates and glasses hunting for staff before ordering round 2 as we had assumed that the second half of our first order was just still in the kitchen. However, it never arrived, although some still appeared on the bill. It took another 20mins to get the bill and another 20 after that to pay it. Our waitress said “oh haven’t you paid yet?” - no because nobody checked and all the wait staff were giggling together about something in the other half of the room. Music is loud and intrusive which makes people shout above it, at odds with the nice cosy decor. Wish we’d had a better time.
Really lovely, will definitely be back. We loved the food so much we bought the cook book.
They have updated the menu and it is very nice. I would have liked my wine served in a wine glass rather than a beaker. May sound silly, but those little things make a difference. I thought it was a tad overpriced at £8 for a small glass. We had a selection of small dishes and everything was delicious.
Love Polpo, but the table by the on-level kitchen is not a good place to be. Lots of noisy crockery competing with the 90s indie playlist - quite hard to concentrate. It's a long narrow room so hard to hide this part of the operation I guess. Lovely food as always, but not a good spot for conversation...
Very disappointing. Zucchini fries were soggy and there were bits of shell in the clam dish. This was taken off the bill but the overall atmosphere was flat, as though nobody cared very much.
Had a wonderful evening. It is one of my favourite restaurants and so was happy to visit on Valentine’s Day!
Food was excellent. Good VFM considering location. Only negative was that service was slow.
Great service. Great food. Excellent location and relaxed ambiance. A little piece of Italy in Covent Garden.
Amazing food - small portions for starters but you can tell why when eating. The quality of the food is amazing.
Waiter and food were great. Loud neighbours less so. All in all, great night. Party on.
Definitely worth a return. Glad to find this place! Very good.
every things was good. if prices were just a little cheaper it would be my fave resturant in london
Wonderful! Just wonderful. Food, staff and atmosphere. Love it! Thanks
Delicious food, lovely chilled atmosphere and great service. Also very nice house wine!
Food and drink very good. Very authentically Italian. Bit cramped upstairs- had to move table.
Lovely little place and dog friendly which is pretty rare. The food was utterly delicious
A lovely pre matinee lunch. Friendly helpful service and delicious sharing plates of a perfect size. The zucchini fries are the best we have had anywhere.
Nice restaurant, good location. Could have a slightly more diverse menu. Doesn’t have the Nutella dessert anymore.
Helpful, friendly staff, just the right level of attentiveness. Food allergies very well catered for. Delicious food with rich flavours and inventive little plates. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!
We celebrated a family birthday at the Covent Garden Polpo. Our waitress made such a lovely effort to make the birthday meal special. The food was delicious & the price extremely reasonable. We will definitely be going back!
Great place, good food, good wine, friendly staff. What more can you ask for.
Excellent! Excellent food tasty drinks and great drinks and excellent
Lovely relatively small menu but with plenty of variety. There were 4 of us (one vegetarian) we shared most things but the vegetarian ordered their own main. The waitress was good at telling us how easily we could share across 4 so we could choose to order 2 portions if required. Great service and lovely atmosphere not too noisy to have a conversation but had a vibrant feel
Really good food and staff! Really enjoyed the lunch and afternoon.
Too dark, very difficult to read menu. Music too loud. Food didn't taste freshly cooked, just warmed up. We wouldn't return or recommend when there is so much choice in the area.
Great food in a friendly environment. Thought the staff were fab too
We arrived earlier and we had a table downstairs. All fine! Besides the arancine that came cold the rest of all the food was delicious!
Perfect. Everything I hoped it would be, and even more so.
All good, most enjoyable , service very efficient and friendly
Service was outstanding, also love that it's available to book
We arrived earlier than our reservation and were seated downstairs food was amazing and service excellent
Food was delicious, service was great, ambience was really nice. Great value for money, only thing I'd say is that the music was a bit loud for so early in the day, but it didn't really bother us.
Very enjoyable with great tapas and good wine pre theatre
It was great and quiet, so we could talk...the service was perfect!
Excellent selection of 'Cicheti' at reasonable prices and in a friendly, informal environment. Recommended!
Great food, truly delicious and nice service. I’ll be back.
