Lovely Thai restaurant, very good food, good service. I have been there a few times and would go again. They have a decent wine list, too.
I love Patara Knightsbridge, delicious food, very welcome waiters and charming place in heart of London. Authentic Thai food for sure, the best in town. Highly recommend! Xoxo
The food here is heavenly, just delicious. This restaurant is so chilled, it's like being on an island in the Indian Ocean. The service is good too, sometimes you have to repeat yourself to make sure there is no confusion but the staff are genuinely nice. Order the coconut dessert, it's amazing!
Good tasting food Would be good to have a more detailed menu especially regarding the starters Very squashed seating Not much ambience- couldn’t get a feel of the whole restaurant
Food was delicious! Portions slightly smaller than I remember except the pad Thai which was more than enough! Service was a bit slow even though restaurant wasn't very busy. The staff were very nice though.
Food and hospitality was on point, Amazing, flavours from the food was nothing like I've tasted before, it was excellent. I'll definitely be back in the future.
I have visited with a friend. I found the food excellent and service very efficient and discrete. We had spend here a very enjoyable evening.
Really a good place to enjoy Thai food, which is tasty and clean. The curry was totally nice and the stuff is friendly too. I love it
Wonderful Thai dinner, welcoming staff, nice decoration, and wonderful food as well. The Patara tasting starter is a great way to try a bunch of different things and the mains were delicious too. The braised beef in coconut and lime was amazing!
The food was great! Best Thai we have ever had by far. The staff were extremely polite and attentive. The food, staff, restaurant as a whole is very authentic
Excellent as always. We had the express lunch for 2 and I had the prawn rice rolls which are delicious with a really zingy dressing and the braised coconut beef which was amazing.
Food was amazing, great staff too. In a great part of London, away form all the hustle and bustle. Would recommend to anyone. Not hideously expensive
The food and service were excellent. The menu had a broad selection and we all enjoyed every selection with the lamb and duck being the best. The waiters were friendly and service was quick. A bit noisy but overall a great dinner. I would go back.
Institution in London. Nothing exceptional, but it definitely satisfies your Thai food fix.
The food was delicious. However, the restaurant was noisy on arrival, and throughout dinner.
Lovely restaurant, really good food with great vegetarian choices and brilliant attentive and helpful staff, we would recommend to anyone looking for Thai food in London.
We had a very nice food experience at Patara Knightsbridge: we had several plates from the Thai tradition and each one was tasty, well done and well presented. Service was also very good: waiters very caring and always smiling. Price is in the expensive range, according to the food quality and service.
Excellent Thai food at its best. Everthibg is well and clean presented. The service great! You eat delicious and excellent prepared Thai food! One of the best Thai food rest around.
terrific food, great flavours & good staff. not as expensive as I expected in Knightsbridge, good value for money even by northern standards! would go again.
We were really looking forward to our lunch at Patara having seen previous reviews, and were prepared to pay a bit more for what we expected would be something above average. Unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations. The food was nicely presented and was ok in itself, but nothing special compared to every other high street Thai restaurant we have visited. The main problem, however, was the unacceptably long wait between the starter and main course. The waitress apologised and informed us that one chef was ill and there was one replacement chef in the kitchen, not our problem really. We noticed another diner having problems with her order and another couple, who were obviously known by the staff, being served before us although they arrived some time after us. Our main courses did not arrive at the same time either. All in all, disappointing for the price, and we will not be returning.
We had a great set menu which included a glass of wine. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
An enjoyable experience... We had the set menu and we were not disappointed... Food was very good and well presented and I will definitely visit again
Tasty Thai food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, not crowded for lunch, short walk from Harrod's, clean and well lit, good for families and large parties
Very good but I could have done with a finger bowl for the delicious seared king prawns. The Scallops starter was absolutely fabulous. I would recommend Patara to anyone.
The only bad thing I could say was that the seating was not very spacious, therefore the ambience was not as good as I would hope. Otherwise it was fantastic in all aspects.
Meal was amazing, staff very friendly & restaurant was great. A really nice evening was had by my fiancé and I. Would recommend it whole heartedly.
Pre booked the restaurant for lunch. Politely welcomed and ushered to our table. No pushy service and staff were attentive when needed. Food was delicious and the ambience of the restaurant was superb. Very pleasant lunch.
Fabulous food - very tasty . The shareing platter for a starter gives a idea of the quality of the foodGreat service . Very enjoyable evening . Will be visiting again.
Fabulous food, gracious service, quiet and peaceful -- wish there was a number 10 on this scale! Thank you so very much for a fabulous evening!
My partner and I treated our friends to an anniversary dinner. We had the sharing deal, you get a selection of starters, a selection of mains and a dessert. Our friends hadn't tasted Thai food and were pleasantly surprised by the way you could taste every flavour in every dish. If you can't decide on what to eat this is a great option, once you've tasted the different range of dishes, next time you go back you could order your main from the dish you liked most from the selection. Absolutely delicious food!
Delicious food and excellent service . Good atmosphere and everyone was very attentive. Wine was good and the staff paid lots of attention to my children.
Please don't put on the bill the two beers included in the menu... But very good meal indeed. That is the forth time we come in your restaurant.
Friendly staff, unfortunately not all our food arrived together, some dishes came later., i.e. Main course arrived without the rise which came about 10 mins later. Apart from that very good restaurent.
It is always a good experience at Patara Thai. The food and service are excellent and the atmosphere always busy but not noisy. highly recommended.
Food was extremely nice. I felt a bit rushed but that was probably my fault as I was half an hour late for my reservation at 9pm. It was a special occasion, definitely recommend to a friend.
Service was slow and the food was cold. We normally go to the Patara in Maddox Street and this restaurant is much better quality and service is good.
Great food, fresh and more authentic tasting than some other Thai restaurants in London. Though the restaurant is a little tight for space, it just adds to the atmosphere. A very enjoyable meal. Will be back for sure.
Our evening at the Patara was perfect. The staff were superb and the food even more so. Highly recommend this thai restaurant. We will definitely be going back.
Fantastic food, one of the best Thai meals we've had. The Rock Lobster green curry special was lovely. Reasonable prices for London and staff friendly. Would visit again
Very good, great service, excellent quality of food. It is expensive, but I think it is worth the price you pay. I also like that during the week it is quiet.
Great authentic Thai food, nice ambience and good service. We have. When going for 20 years and have eaten at their places in Bangkok and Singapore. Enjoyable as ever. Ian
Excellent ! Nourriture Exclellente(poulet pat thaï, cocktail (passionata)... excellent, dessert (cheesecake mangue) à tomber par terre !! Super moment dans un cadre très sympathique. Les prix sont en adéquation avec la qualité qui nous a été offerte.
Lovely little restaurant with characters. Staff are amazing.. service is fantastic.. last but not least, the food is excellent! One of my favourite Thai restaurant in the city!
No member of waiting team seemed to be taking the lead to take orders, remembering the orders, making sure table had everything that was ordered. Everything was reactive on their part - we had to constantly chase/ask when we needed things. Even getting two scoops of vanilla ice cream for two young children caused them no end of difficulty. Took a ridiculous length of time to come and was asked for at least four times - and that was me holding back. Quickest thing they did was get the bill and make sure it was paid. And this was a 5pm/early evening booking so NOT busy.
I'm a big foodie and have been to many restaurants but this resteraunt on first is impression NOTHING LIKE the pictures on the website it is wAAAAAAay too small...air conditioning was broken...we were shown to a table up the stairs then we were asked why we were up the stairs and had to come back down to another table. Service was very clumsy. Seating was very uncomfortable staff didn't know the menu and when it came to order the second bottle of wine they had run out and when it came to all three of our party ordering pudding they had also run out of the chocolate pudding. The waiter had a huge white head spot on his face which was incredibly off putting and he was completely incompetent didn't have clue clearly. The fire or burglar alarm went off off when we got our starters which was again awful the noise was piercing.. The lighting is way too bright and the tables are so close to each other that you can hear everyone's conversations. Staff were hovering around watching us eat almost waiting to whisk the plates away before we were finished eating. It certainly was NOT a lovely 5 star place as we had expected...kids were running around and people seemed to just walk in were able to get a table without booking which means it's not exclusive as it tries to portray on the site. I was there with my uncle and aunty for their anniversary and I won't be returning. I don't know how it has managed to get into Beauchamp Place Knightsbridge doesn't fit atall. It's a cheap taxi eatery that charges Knightsbridge prices. We could of had better service in pizza express. I was Unbelievablely disappointed all round and if I hadn't been there to treat my family to dinner I would of walked out on first impressions and gone to the Buddha bar. Don't waste your money going here.
We really liked this place. The most important thing, the food, was fabulous. We opted for their 'banquet' set menu, which had a lovely balance of prawns/chicken, beef and fish, with flavours that were allowed to shine through without being mugged by superfluous fiddling. The service was friendly and obliging, albeit it was a Sunday afternoon and the place was largely empty and they had plenty of time to look after us. The prices were stiff but fair, for what was excellent food in the not exactly cheap environs of Beauchamp Place.
Cozy quiet atmosphere, excellent food great service ! Definitely would like to return soon, one of my favorite place in town, highly recommended. Quite busy on the weekend, advance booking needed.
Very nice people, and a good looking menu. Sadly, apart from two of the 5 starters, the whole meal was bland, and just not of the standard we should have been able to expect. The main courses tasted as if they were made with jars of sauce thrown in. It must cost a lot to be in Knightsbridge, but on this standard of food they won't pay the rent. Thai food can be great in some of the restaurants in London. Sadly this is not one of them.
The service and the ambiance were good. Unfortunately the quality of the food was very disappointing, we had the banquet and most of the dishes were unappetising. Wouldn't go again, or recommend it.
Service is always great and love the food at Patara. It's a nice and cosy restaurant so perfect for when it's cold outside and the ambience is very calm. I'm vegetarian and there is a lot of choice - my favourite it the vegetable and tofu Thai red curry and the mango and mushroom salad to start!!
