Good atmosphere and excellent food. Unfortunately the restaurant was a bit understaffed or just not as organised as it should be. The waiting time for the drinks , starters, mains was took so long. Other than that it was a good experience.

food was very average and it was really noisy! Wouldn't go again.

Slow service, took almost 90min for starter&main. Quality was average.

The food was mediocre and really over priced for the portion size. Had to ask 4 times to get some tap water and paid £20 for 5 pieces of pasta.

We had a lovely Saturday afternoon lunch with 8 people. They gave us a table in a separate area so we had lots of space, good service, and of course the food was great too. Nice and relaxed!

Paesan is an excellent restaurant, good atmosphere and even better food. We went for a birthday celebration and they did everything right and even sung happy birthday!

Lovely restaurant, lovely staff. Had a great time. Can recommend the butternut squash carpaccio. Though perhaps not the pistachio icecream served with Amaro montenegro. That was a bit odd :)

As always, super food and great staff. The menu had changed since the last time I was there but still very good. If you are looking for authentic Italian food with decent wine and great service, Paesan fits the bill.

I've wanted to come here for years as I'd heard great things about it. Food had a good standard with some outstanding (beetroot salad w/ goats cheese) and the staff was friendly and helpful. A negative was the atmosphere, it was quite empty in a big place as we went really early (pre-6pm). Would go again.

The food here is always great. The portions do seem to be getting smaller though! The service is friendly but can be a little slow.

Great, attentive service. But unfortunately the food was very average. the arancini was stodgy and the pasta dishes was undercooked. The meatballs were dense and dry.

We had a very relaxed Sunday lunch for a party of eight. Friendly service, the food was simply presented but distinctive and good value for the quality. Would definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere but the portion size seemed to be smaller then previous occasions. We were sat in the draft of the door even though we were one of the first tables to be seated and had reserved weeks in advance.

Fantastic low key authentic seasonal Italian food, in a buzzy neighbourhood setting. Great value for money. The perfect comfort food Saturday treat. We love it here. The Resturant isn't huge so always best to book ahead for weekends.

Excellent and attentive service, but without unnecessary fuss. A really nice negroni. Regional food specialism keeps the menu dynamic and interesting. The best of Italian food.

Great meal from a really interesting - I guess very authentic - menu, nicely introduced for us. It's a great location too, and isn't fazed by competition on Exmouth Market. I highly recommend it for a lunch or dinner that stimulates the senses.

Excellent food, felt as if I was in Italy and very friendly, efficient service. A little bit of Italy in the middle of London. And nice that there are outside tables too.

The best peach Bellini and Tiramisu I've had to date! The staff are constantly roaming and are always at your beck and call. The food is incredible and the menu changes seasonally. Will be going back again soon

Food was really good and the atmosphere was great too, although a little bit too noisy. Service was prompt and pleasant. We shared antipasti and small plates and each plate was creative and tasty.

Very good food, the Calabrian month was perfect, as I'm in love with N'duja. Staff was friendly, all dishes well received and in good time. One minus point for having to pay a deposit of £50 when I booked a table for 12 people. But then again, that's probably fair enough.

Service was really slow and I feel they were understaffed at the restaurant. Perhaps even just one other waiter would have improved the service massively.

As always, great straight forward regional Italian food. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. And happy hour cocktails. Good for vegetarians too. We will be back again soon.

Cosy place in Exmouth Market - perfect for a rainy day. The arancini were rather disappointing and lacking in flavour but the rabbit parpadelle and meatballs were great!

Good wholesome food, service was good and the staff were very nice. Portions were good and we were both left feeling full after dessert !

Very slow service throughout meal, we had to request everything from menu to bill. Also, while my guests enjoyed their food, my veal was very fatty and a little undercooked

Great Staff but portion sizes weren't great, my seafood risotto didn't have lots of seafood! I've had better, I've had worse. Slightly overpriced for what you get but I guess that is the area as much as anything

Great value 2 (or 3) course lunch menu and, as always, delicious food! We also made the most of the 2 for 1 cocktails after 5pm.

Paesan has delicious food and the prices are very reasonable. Really good happy hour drink deals on cocktails and beer. Loud restaurant, and service was pretty mediocre.

I'm a big fan of Paesan, and this time again the food was great, service was good. Very veggie friendly, as long as you are happy with a lot of cheese! It's pretty loud, but that was ok. A bit of a mess up with dessert which was a shame - they apologised and took my dessert off the bill without me asking, but it took a while to explain why I wasn't happy to be eating my dessert at a different time from everyone else.

This was my second visit to Paesan. I returned as the quality of the food was excellent on my first visit and I was not dissaponted on my return. Highly recommend!

A great meal, atmosphere and excellent service from what is one of the best Italian restaurants in the local area. If you are after a casual Italian meal Paesan is the place to go.

Had a good business lunch here. Food was of a high standard and the service was good, would definitely visit again for business or leisure.

Went here a year ago and really enjoyed it. This time the service was fine but the food quite poor. Bruschetta came as dry, butterred toast with sautéed peppers and pasta was way too undercooked to enjoy.
