me and wife loved the fish and chips and as my wife has a phobia of grade peas staff were amazing and catered everything special
Good restaurant. Good service. But nothing special. Will not come back
Always a pleasure to dine at O & B before attending a performance at the Marlowe. Once again the food was a very high standard with great service, Thank you
Lovely food, drinks and service, we will be back 😊
Incredible gluten free food, creative and a taste sensation. Beautifully clean restaurant, exceptional service and attention to detail.
It was an amazing experience, definitely recommend. The prices are really good and the staff were lovely. I am definitely going again
Lovely food, fabulous & professional staff worth every penny, definitely recommend
Lovely looking restaurant, staff pleasant however food was overpriced for cheap products used.
Good food good service. All Gluten free and vegan options too!
Lovely food. nice friendly staff very clean and fresh feel in the dining area
We had lovely evening ,thanks for a nice time Antony Fothergill
absolutely love this place. great spot for coeliacs to go to!!
Amazing choice for anyone, regardless of whether or not they suffer from a gluten insensitivity. It’s always busy, which is a good sign. The staff are attentive and the food is always brilliant. Will definitely be back again soon.
It has a nice atmosphere but service was slight lacking no one took our plates away when we finished eating and had to go in search of staff when we needed anything
Great service and great food. A lot of choice and very attentive staff
Great family meal, thoroughly enjoyed it! Must book ahead - especially on a Saturday!
Was a lovely experience. Have a daughter who is coeliac so was nice to eat out somewhere where she can order whatever she wants without any concerns. My only bugbear was that several of our party, 8 people in all, order the Scarborough Fair pie on Saturday night 26th Oct., it was described as having a herb crust and being served with mash. When it came it was just a shepherds pie, with the filling topped with mash in a bowl. We had all expected that the herb crust was a pastry top and the mash would be served to compliment it, so it was a bit disappointing and we found it didn't fill us up. Other guests ordered better dishes, fish and chips, a fishfinger butty, and a chicken burger, all of which were really good.
Staff and food as top notch as per usual. Thanks
Friendly, but a bit slow on the service. Bit quiet and so mindful of conversation. Desserts rather pricey.
Top quailty food even for me whos not glutten free . The mrs was so happy she could choose anything from the menu and even have a drink . 5 star isnt enough for your resterant .
Fantastic service, lovely food & great atmosphere! Staff are all outstanding!
Great for a ceoliac! Friendly staff and great food. Small place but lovely
Such a great menu with a real awareness of allergies. Local and seasonal choices very welcome.
Pleasant enough, a bit pricey. Very nice cakes and puddings.
Fantastic service and meal, waiting staff amazing and so friendly
Super as always; very good and tasty Gluten free food
We had a table booked for 11 so were seated upstairs. The staff were all really friendly and helpful with our drink and food orders. Our meals all arrived together so the kitchen staff deserve a thank you too. The food was great, especially the desserts! A great experience all round.
Locale carinissimo, piccolo, ma molto ben curato nell’arredamento. Gradevoli i titolari e il cibo super. Tutto senza glutine e ben cucinato. Ottimo il pesce e gli hamburger P Prezzo giusto
First visit and was impressed with the food and service, will return, thanks
Excellent food and good service - always a large menu to choose from to suit all tastes
The food was served very slow and the standard of food dropped since the last time I dined there.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We were offered a jug of tap water which was nice. The manager came and said hello which was a nice personal touch. The cake was delicious!
A lovely locally run restaurant. Super to avoid the chains and find a real gem. Run like clockwork and very friendly. Thank you!
Dairy free as well as gluten free but 15 year old very hungry granddaughter happily tucked in to battered fish with chips, followed by a delicious chocolate orange pudding with ice cream. Delicious.
Service was painfully slow despite being very quiet. Allergy advice is a little unclear on the menu and when food arrived which contained lactose and we had to ask to remake it they said they would charge us for it twice as the allergy hadn’t been mentioned. Only after lots of insisting and asking to speak to the chef did they grumpily remove it from the bill. Food was average and a little plain.
Polite, professional and friendly waiting staff, but the food arrived slowly and was disappointing; one dish (salmon fillet) had cold crushed new potato that were greasy and the dish had far too much oil, and the other (cauliflower) was lacking any real flavour. Shame as the place is nice.
One of my favourite restaurants in Canterbury - always good food, and excellent hot chocolate.
lovely meal, celebrated our 31st wedding Anniversary, had a mock cocktail, very nice. service excellent and meal was wonderful. keep up the good work
Excellent food and really good variety. Pleasant staff too. Thanks
Cannot see how they could have improved. Great meals had by all
Great food and really friendly service! Lovely to be able to eat somewhere where our celiac and lactose-introllerant friend felt so comfortable without anyone else having to compromise on a brilliant meal.
Brilliant experience so good to have a gluten free kitchen so I could choose anything on the menu. Good very good. Service excellent.
coffee and walnut cake was lovely 😋 Good service too
Lovely staff and food, restaurant was very pretty and cosy and in a lovely location (Canterbury). I would recommend and use again. I struggled to find the restaurant to start with however, the staff couldn’t of been anymore helpful they came out and guided me while staying on the phone. Very helopful :)
As a Celiac patient this restaurant was HEAVEN!!! Finally a restaurant where I don't have to explain my problem and where I don't have to stress whether everything will be fine!!! The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!
Firstly we were put upstairs alongside a large table of lively ladies who were rather noisy. We requested a table downstairs and this was arranged. The cold water came in a warm carafe ( felt like if had come out of the dishwasher). We ordered a starter of garlic bread.... The first glass of Merlot we ordered tasted like Cabernet Sauvignon. Fortunately we like CS! It wasn’t until we placed our order that we were told that the particular meal was off the menu (useful information when handing out the menu?) We then ordered the chicken for our main course. This turned out to be a bowl of pasta with fatty bacon and a few chunks of chicken. It had obviously been warmed up in the microwave as the centre was hot while the sides and top lukewarm. The second glass of wine was indeed a Merlot. The waitress removed the almost full dishes and when told that we were disappointed with the meal made no attempt to rectify the situation or call the manager to see us. I had visited the restaurant a couple of times before and had been very happy with the food and service; it was particularly embarrassing as my friend came along on my recommendation. Such a shame as I will be neither visiting Oscar & Bentley or indeed recommending the establishment again.
Welcoming staff and attractive bistro. Good food and service. Especially when dietary choices treated as any other request. Will go back for the toffee pudding
In one word: Excellent - both food and service and atmosphere. Really enjoyed my lunch at Oscar and Bentley. But you're asking for too many words. Enough is enough.
Fantastic. Great food for coeliacs and non coeliacs alike. Coeliacs thought the onion rings were as good as any they had before they couldn't eat gluten any longer. Thank you!
