New Dilli

It used to be good but honestly was dreadful - seemed to be all frozen and reheated, and not as described in the menu. Service was pleasant but inexperienced - we were the only 2 in and now I know why.

Excellent curry - will absolutely be back. Had the biriyani which was lovely - good service and value as well. Best had in Altrincham to date.

The restaurant was pretty good, though the food was somewhat mashed and did not seem especially fresh. I have eaten at this restaurant previously and was surprised/disappointed as my other experiences were all positive.

I've been before and the service and food was great, but tonight it just wasn't there. We walked in, no one greeted us, and we stood for a while before anyone came to assist. The service was really slow, they forgot to serve poppadoms, and we had our starter before poppadoms, despite asking for poppadoms when they took our drinks order. Food was served with instead of hot. Sorry guys, I've been before and it's been really good, but last night was poor on all fronts, I don't think I'll return for quite some time, which is an absolute shame.

Nice food - the fried fish starter was lovely but rice for one is enough for two people so order accordingly. Service was a little slow but generally a good experience

Excellent indian food with a subtle twist on the conventional menu that you'd see at most other places. Well worth a visit when you're in town

The food was good but the device definately needs working on , there was no personal touch to the evening and that made it a very clinical experience

We went there with two friends on a Monday evening, and the restaurant was relatively quiet. The food was tasty and was served by a friendly waitress. We particularly enjoyed the lamb and chicken tikka in the non-vegetarian platter, which, although nominally for two people, was just right for the four of us, especially with the poppadums that we also ordered. The nicest main course was the Hydrabadi chicken curry. The portion sizes are very generous, and we were unable to finish them, so the restaurant prepared a doggy bag for us to take home. We will be going back, but will definitely order less food, next rime!

Very poor service... Not offered pudding/ coffee or any more drinks, table left uncleared, miserable staff. Ok food but certainly not worth going again. Wouldn't recommend .

All together a very nice experience. A nice setting and an excellent menu choice. The service was good and the food tasted great. Would recommend a visit.

Very tasty food, which is a bit different to the average curry. The vegetarian platter was really delicious and nice and spicy. Service was a bit haphazard but friendly.

On the website shows they do a variety of Indian desserts but when we went we were told they don't have a dessert menu just ice cream

Lovely food which isn't run of the mill. Fantastic, quick service and a fair price. Portion size is large but food bags are provided to take the excess home.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the North West. The menu is varied with plenty for vegetarians. Each dish is individual and described- forget the usual formula of a sauce with various food, not here! Staff and chef have been there for years and friendly. Food is excellent and Indian beers are on offer as as wine. We just had a main course each with vegetarian side dishes and rice. That was enough for a hungry party of three. Strongly recommended

We like to try different places and had been here for a cookery course there the previous weekend, and decided to give it a try. We booked for 6.00pm there were a few people in but we were told they did not have our booking, Angela said she would fit us in but they were full later, if we had been a party I doubt we would have got in. The restaurant was ok, starters nicely spiced but the mains were a bit disappointing, small portion of lamb in a thin gravy, the chicken was leg meat, a bit bitty. Won't be rushing back, we have been to better and there are still places to try.

Starters great would have preferred a choice of chicken breast/thigh meat in the main courses. Great if your vegetarian , staff were helpful and attentive.

Staff were excellent and the restaurant would have got a better score if the ambience had been a bit more conducive. The room is too bright, please turn down the lights

Not the best experience to be honest. It didn't feel like we were in an Indian restaurant and certainly felt a lot different to how it use to be.

Excellent vegetarian menu, a wide range from which to choose. Wonderful food with a good balance of flavours. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.....returning very soon.

The food was great. The restaurant is a bit too bright in its lighting for myself & the Gin & tonic was drowned in tonic from a larger bottle instead of being individually served. But worth a visit

Nice & cosy indian restaurant with modern decor. The starters were fantastic, tasty poppadoms with better than usual dips & beautiful, homemade samosas that were very hearty. The mains arrived soon after we finished & they were also delicious. Special thanks to the helpful & chatty waitress who served us, we didn't get her name but she had dark hair & glasses & was helpful & attentive.

Lovely food and reasonably priced. The restaurant was quiet as it was a Monday evening. Very attentive and helpful staff. Even brought food home in a take away box that we couldn't finish.

No problems with booking - all worked fine. Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended. Would definitely revisit and use Quandoo booking services for New Dilli and other restaurants.

It was our first visit here and the food quality was very good. Everything was well made, staff were friendly. Will be back again soon!

Absolutely fantastic if you want authentic Indian cuisine not westernised curries then this is the place to eat the food is so fresh and tasty

Remembered the old restaurant with the same name and I was expecting the same delicious food. Well, I was disappointed. Nothing wrong with the food but it was just very ordinary. The space is fine and the prices are 'market rate.' With so many restaurants to choose from difficult to imagine why I would go back in a hurry. I have tried to be fair and as I say this was by no means a bad place but going out to eat is expensive. Should be substantially better than ordering a take-away meal and this was not. Oh, the white wine was good !

Food was good and spicy as expected. We. Ordered dum briyani which was good. Salmon tandoori was good my daughter loved it. Overall ambience is good.

Visited for a birthday meal with a total of 10 guests. Great food and amicable staff. All of us had a great time. Will definitely recommend.

As always excellent food and great service. The menu isn't a traditional Indian menu but is much more authentic. Go on give yourself a treat

Average food in a less than average setting. No feeling of its classy forerunner. Poorly trained staff with one exception. Zero atmosphere. Glad we went with a voucher.

The food was excellent and not complaints about that, but we had to wait over an hour for it to be served which was simply not acceptable.

Sensational food, great service. A very wide choice of food, different to most Indian restaurants in the area. Tasty, spicy and very (very!) generous portions.

excellent food, and lots of it, attentive service. there was an extensive menu and not all run of the mill standards. we were sharing anyway so went with their set menu choices. While the meat dishes were beautifully tender and flavoursome the paneer with peppers, which we probably wouldn't have normally chosen was excellent. The star of the show though was in fact the black lentils. fantastic. Good to see that the 'old' Dilli values live on in New Dilli. My only criticism would be to have a better selection of non-alcoholic drinks for those who are driving or don't indulge. we've booked again to take some of our friends - we'll take a taxi :)

Our first visit since the move from Stamford Street. Excellent food with a real authentic touch. Friendly helpful service in spacious surroundings. Will return soon!

Really amazing experience, fabulous food, definitley worth a visit we haven't eaten there before will be going back very soon and not expensive, has a very good menu.

Not impressive, given the all-pervasive effect of cloves (which i detest!) it would have been nice if they had mentioned it was in the dish i ordered. Fish curry, teeny, tiny bits of fish in an average sauce.It would have helped if the waitress could have done the maths on the bill, it can't have been the first time she had been asked to split one in half. i won't be back

Great menu with lots of different options to choose from. Food was delicious especially aloo tikki!! There were some inaccuracies in the order, we did not get exact what we ordered. However, delicious food made up for it.

Absolutely delicious, can't wait to come back again. Service was great, happy to help and very obliging. Restaurant looked clean and welcoming, busy times mean toilet queues is only negative.

We had a fabulous night. The food was Excellent and great service too. I would recommend this restaurant and I will definatley go back again.

Went with family and friends, all 9 of us in total. Once again the service, and especially the quality of food stood out. The non-vegetarian starters were tasty, especially the unusual salmon tikka. The main courses were deemed outstanding by everyone, and we all left extremely well fed. We will be visiting again for sure in the near future.

Authentic Indian food. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there recently. We loved the variety of starters, and the main courses of Kashmiri lamb rogan josh, and prawn tik tak were excellent, accompanied by Bombay aloo, dal makhani, nans and rice were lovely. We are so full, however the unordered banana split from the restaurant went down a treat. We highly recommend New Dilli for great food at reasonable prices.
