Nel & Co Bothwell

My friend and I had lunch from the Market menu. It was our first visit, and we were made to feel very welcome. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was well-cooked & delicious and our only problem was not having enough room for any of the desserts that we had admired on the way in. We didn't feel rushed either, which was a bonus, as we do like to talk! A good experience, and one we hope to repeat

Had to prompt a member of staff to take our order after waiting longer than expected. Cold scrambled egg on my breakfast order which I would have returned but let it go as did not have time to wait on a replacement. Overall visit ok but anticipated better.

Our 1st visit to Nel & Co Bothwell and certainly won't be our last. Amazing food, service and lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Food was really yummy and staff very attentive & friendly.

This was my first visit to Nell & Co. I took my friend who was visiting from Norway, and whom I haven't seen for a number of years. We both ordered the Ham salad roll. When cutting into the roll, there was a soggy paper napkin stuck to the base of the roll making the food difficult and very unpleasant to eat. We were constantly removing pieces of paper from each forkful of food. I did tell a member of staff, who, though acknowledging my complaint, did nothing about it. Very disappointed.

The soup was delicious, main meal potatoes cold, kids sandwiches were on really thick bread , baked potato was okay not very warm

I found the restaurant a little noisy but when I looked behind I noticed that the other customers were ALL female....thus the noise !!!

Average food, pleasant staff. Sauce bottle needs a clean before giving to customers

We hadn’t been to this restaurant since the change to Nel & Co. and were using an itison voucher. We had two starters and two mains, wine soft drink snd coffee. There was a great choice of courses and the food was really good. The service was courteous and prompt. I hadn’t realised there was also a lovely deli at the front of the restaurant which was an added surprise. Will definitely be back.

great food, service as slow as a week in jail and have to ask for things multiple times, people are nice at least

Simple food made beautiful. I've never seen Haggis, Neeps and Tatties presented with such neatness and appeal. My wife and I loved the decor of the restaurant. The front and back room are both worth exploring. We enjoyed our courses and the lovely anniversary cheesecake they surprised us with. The food was delicious. If there was anything negative to say about our night it's just that our table was a bit wobbly and I was surprised that the steak and chips was simply Steak, chips and garlic butter (Which went really well with the chips). But as far as steaks go it was terrific

Lentil soup was ok, no taste of the ham meant to be there. Steak pie meat was nice but pastry was poor turned to to dust upon cutting, in more work needed. Bit pricey for what it was.

The hospitality from greeting and leaving that our waitress had given us was an outstanding service making this a pleasurable experience. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I had purchased an Itison Voucher for Nel & Co for their dinner menu and it was lovely. First visit and I will be back. Great food, good portions and friendly staff.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Not much atmosphere as unfortunately very few dinners. Menu leaning towards Italian as shame as Bothwell needs more alternatives to Italian. Food pleasant some items a bit cool. Wine really good. Menu description inadequate re wine just a name no country of origin etc. we enjoyed overall, helped a lot by a great bottle of wine

Food took a really long time to come out (I have found this an issue every time I dine at Nel & Co). Also the soap was empty in the ladies bathroom and had been empty since my last visit the week before. I did highlight to a staff member but nothing was done.

I ordered the Blueberry pancakes and I was serviced buttermilk instead. When I raised this with the waitress, they took it away and just out Blueberries on top and placed it back down on the table. I received no explanation or apology.

Good food and service. Would like beers to be served colder though.
